About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. About: I've always loved animals, particularly dogs. Animals respond well to me, and I have cared for many over the years. I treat every animal as if they are my own! Ever met that person who just randomly pulls over on the street to say hi to your pup? THAT'S ME! I work full time in the healthcare field, but can often modify my schedule. I routinely travel between Oakland and Gardiner ME for work, so traveling is not an issue. I like to be on the go! I also work part time with Animal Control in Sidney. If you feel youre dogs would be happier being the only visitors, let me know and we can almost always figure something out. I have a large area for dogs to run and play by themselves if they prefer or can spend time with our two friendly dogs who love to play even more.I offer crates if needed. But typically allow them run of the house and let them sleep where they are comfortable. Pets are more than welcome make themselves comfortable on the furniture or bed. About: I’ve had pet dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I’ve always loved taking care of them, and being someone that they can rely on. About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.
