“Christina was a great spot for Theodore. He ate better than he ever has at a boarder and the photos Christina took of Theodore while we were away were great. She dod great administering his meds for an ear infection he came down with just before we left. I highly recommend Christina.”

“Breanna was fantastic! Our 10 month old puppy had a blast with her! She sent pictures and provided updates throughout his stay! Will definitely keep her in mind next time we are out of town!”

“Marissa was fantastic! She went above and beyond for our dogs and took such good care of them. She sent photos every day. She took them for walks and swims and gave them extra love and the best care. She was extremely responsive, and I would give her 10 stars if I could! I hope to use her again in the future!”

“Natalie’s home is full of love and prosperity. She and her family welcomed my dog as one of their own. She has my full recommendation and I hope to utilize her services again in the future!”
“Finding someone that you can trust that will care for and love your fur baby as you do can be challenging. We were able to find someone and more in Robin. From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. Robin's compassion to take care of and spend time with animals is very clear. Remy even seemed a little sad after we picked him up and brought him home like he missed her and her fun dog Stella. We can't recommend Robin enough and we will definitely be using again!”

“My little Saga was a happy camper at Cindy’s during her very first time away from family, during an extended holiday stay. Saga seems to have adapted well, and befriended other dogs during her stay, which I got a glimpse of from the photos Cindy shared. Saga came home clean (Cindy gave her a bath the day before our reunion) and a little baggie of holiday treats. Thanks so much for taking such good care of Saga.”

“Alyx was wonderful to work with and we are very happy we found her! She was easy to communicate with and kept us updated on Lucy's stay with messages and pictures. We were nervous leaving Lucy with a new sitter but feel confident that she was well cared for and given lots of one-on-one attention in her time with Alyx. We definitely recommend her!”
“Mariah, Kyle and family took good care of our 10 yr. old Portuguese Water Dog during our week long family vacation. They treated him like he was part of the family and he enjoyed being around their dog and another one they were also boarding. Having a fenced in yard was perfect for playing and getting exercise. They were easy to communicate with and wonderful about giving regular updates and sending photos.”

“Chelsea and her family are the sweetest. They were so so helpful and flexible for my schedule with keeping him. Harley also definitely came back well loved and cared for. We are so so appreciative of them and would recommend to anyone!”

“I was a bit uneasy at first to use a dog sitting app. 5 minutes on the phone with Matt and I was relieved. We met up a couple days before dropping Brandi off for her first time boarding and Brandi and Matt instantly hit it off and I couldn’t have been happier. Much better than taking a dog to a kennel and one very happy puppy.”
“Micheala was fantastic with my dogs. They got to be part of her family for a week long vacation. They had plenty of room to roam about and fun playing with her family. Will definitely book again! ~ Michaela was also very accommodating with my flaky schedule!!! Thanks again!!”

“Craig was very accommodating and absolutely amazing with my dog hazel! She’s normally a littler tentative around men but she immediately took to him. He sent frequent updates and great photos including a video of hazel snoring in his lap. By the time we picked her up I’m not sure she wanted to leave.”

“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our Hoku! We enjoyed lots of snuggles upon our return and she is now sleeping soundly —which tells me that she had a great time with Molly and doesn’t feel anxious or nervous about our absence!”
About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. I am an attentive, detail-oriented pet-sitter, who also knows the importance of respecting another person’s living space and maintaining routines for pets. After years of taking care of every size, shape and age of dog, no request from the owner is too wacky. From complicated medication directions to particular night time routines, I know your pet is part of your family and deserves to go about life as usual, despite mom/dad not being home. Reach out, I would love to connect! I work full-time fully remote! So while I will need WiFi and a desk to type on my laptop while I watch your pet, there is always time for walks, snuggles and whatever else your pet needs. My goal when I pet sit is to keep the pet in its normal environment and routine as much as possible. I am always very clean and respectful of any house I pet sit in.
“Natalie was lovely! She kept my high energy cattle dog happy, busy, and healthy (which is quite an accomplishment for my pup). She was awesome with sending pictures and updates. I would have her watch my dingo again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend.”

“Jen is amazing- she is wonderful with our cats, giving lots of attention to our needy orange boy, and great at giving meds to a skittish calico. I love all of the pictures and hilarious updates she shares. We exclusively book with Jen, and in fact will change our travel dates if she’s not available!!!”

“Rebecca is very attentive to Leo’s needs and I am at peace when I work a double knowing someone spends time with him and makes sure he gets a good walk around my apartment complex.”

“Richard was excellent, he responded to our communication quickly and sent us daily pictures. We felt that our cats were in good hands while we were away, and when we came home everything was as it should be. I would highly recommend Richard to watch over your pets!”

“Alyx was a wonderful sitter. I enjoyed her enthusiasm for animals and felt very comfortable leaving my cats in her care. She sent lots of photos and was responsive and communicative. I'd be delighted to have her again.”

“Breanna is a life saver. We lost a sitter last minute and had to scramble, and she was there the next day for the meet & greet, prepared and taking notes and asking good questions. The Boys took to her immediately - she even got the shy one out on her 3rd visit. Good communication, great photos. Booking again right away!”

About: I’ve always had a love for cats and animals in general. I grew up with two cats of my own and even fostered cats when I was younger, which helped me learn how to care for cats with different personalities and needs. I love how every cat has their own little personality, whether they’re playful, cuddly, shy, or more independent. I have experience with feeding, cleaning litter boxes, giving attention and affection, and making sure cats feel comfortable and safe in their own space. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I’ll treat your cat with the same love and care I would give my own.
About: I have both personal and professional experience taking care of pets. Specifically I have experience walking and training dogs of all ages. I also have experience taking care of sick animals and ensuring they get medication and food as needed. As previous dog walker, I am excited to help take care of your loved pet. Happy to take pups on walks and ensure all pets are happy and fed. I care for pets the way their parents do. I make sure to follow closely to the routines set by you for your pets and ensure there is a seamless transition of care while you are away.
“Kadie was absolutely incredible watching our two kitties while we were away for a week. She did everything perfectly, was communicative and kept us updated the whole time, and was just so kind, polite, and easy to work with. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. We felt so much better being away knowing our boys were in such good hands. We’re really grateful to have someone like her in the area and would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter! Thank you Kadie!!!”

“Jackie was great. She came back for an extra visit to be sure our pup had another chance to go to the bathroom. We'll definitely ask for her help next time we have to leave our pup at home.”

“Second time Lena has taken care of our kitties and we are really pleased. Kitties love her, and it’s great knowing they somebody is checking them daily. Have already booked Lena for when we are away next.”

About: I’ve owned, sat for, fed, and walked dogs of all different sized since I was a child. Current owner of two small pups, but lots of room in my schedule to look after a few more. Former Cat owner, with raging kitty fever. I am available for temporary visiting/sitting jobs in the Greater Portland & Gardiner Areas, where I am Working & Located respectively. I have plenty of time in my day before & after work to visit, and room for sitting SMALL dogs. I first start by showing the pet that I am a friendly presence, I understand familiarization can take time, which is why patience is key. As soon as your pet allows me to show it affection, it is my pleasure & love to match that affection back to ensure that an environment of trust & care is effectively fostered. I can & will feed, walk, play with, and clean up after your pets so I can help them still have some of the enjoyment that they get when you’re at home.

“Marissa watched our dogs when we went skiing. We felt totally comfortable leaving them with her! They had a great time at her house and she sent us pictures of their day. She was incredibly nice and we will definitely reach out again!!”

About: I have experience with puppies, training, dogs with anxiety, geriatric dogs and more. I also have experience with complex health needs and care in dogs. I work from home as a travel agent. I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. Since I have the ability to be with the dogs all day it made sense to offer my home and a family setting. Our dog Sweety sleeps with us at night and so do our guest dogs. Unless that isn’t happening at home. The dogs we care for are like family during their visit. We live in a very private setting. While we don’t have fencing, we do have a large private yard on a private dirt road. We live on 5 acres.
About: I am a reliable pet sitter with several years of animal care experience. I provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care for dogs, cats and other pets of all sizes and ages! I am patient and committed to maintaining your pet’s routine while you are away. I offer dog boarding, drop-in visits, and doggy daycare. I live in a country setting with a very large backyard that provides plenty of space for exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I also have a beautiful walking trail and a 40 acre field directly off my backyard for dogs that love to run! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities! I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your pet care needs or to schedule a meet and greet! Since pet care is my full-time focus, I’m able to stay consistent with feeding times, potty breaks, and any special instructions. My schedule is built around the pets in my care, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care and maintain each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and at home. I have three small, friendly Chihuahuas and a cat. They’re all well behaved and have always done well with other animals. If needed, I can easily keep them on a separate floor to make sure visiting pets feel comfortable and have their own space.
“Chelsea has been watching our pup CJ for day care for several weeks now and CJ loves it. She takes great care of the dogs in her care and keeps us updated with her activities and pics. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been walking and caring for pets for 2 years now, and it has been an awesome experience. I have been around pets my entire life and have always wanted a career that allowed me to meet and take care of different types of animals. I am reliable and honest which are important qualities when leaving your pet with someone. I will care for each pet like they are my own and will do whatever the owner needs to feel comfortable leaving there pet with me! I am 35 years old, live in Lewiston, ME. In addition to walking and caring for pets for the past 2 years, I have owned two different dogs over the past 15 years which further stamped my interest in developing a career involving animals! I work across the street from my home and can routinely go back and forth to make sure there is consistent care for all pets My home has access to side streets that allow for consistent walks. We are also located near parks which I take my own dog to on a daily basis
“We are so grateful we found Craig to dog sit for our puppy Enzo. Enzo is a highly energetic dog who takes some time to warm up to strangers, however, he took no time to adjust to Craig. Craig kept us updated through out the day with pictures and videos. We could tell right away that Enzo was having an awesome time. When we picked up Enzo he was tired (from all the fun he had with Penny) and overall just calm and happy. We highly recommend Craig for doggy care!”

“Robin was excellent!! She was very attentive and sent lots of pictures and videos. My pup has some quirks, especially with big dogs but Robin knew exactly how to introduce Steiny to her dog Stella. Stella was also clearly a pro at dealing with the smaller more neurotic fuzz balls lol. It looked like they were best buds by the end. Very much appreciated Robin accommodating my last minute request! Will definitely be reaching out again.”

“I found Tyler to be a very responsible dog owner who truly enjoys caring for dogs of all sizes. He is very compassionate, patient and understanding when it comes to ensuring your dog has a safe and fun filled day. Tyler and his dog Clarence treated my Great Dane puppy just like family. My puppy absolutely adores both of them tremendously!! I would highly recommend Tyler for your dog sitting needs. He goes above and beyond!”

“Thank you for taking care of Ramsay! Jaclyn took great care of Ramsay and was so communicative with us about how he was doing. She took beautiful photos of him too! Clearly loves animals. Anytime we are in the area we will book with you!”

“Natalie watched our 13 week old puppy and she had an amazing day! Great care with the added bonus of so much socialization. Our puppy had a fantastic time and passed out on the ride home. Five stars is not enough!”

“Lindsay was fabulous. And our 2 pups really enjoyed their stay - including a dip in the baby pool that they loved. We were especially pleased to find she had moved and was only 6 minutes from where we stayed. Apparently Rover won’t let her change her address! She is now in Whitefield ME”

Would love to babysit your kitty or dog. I have 3 cats in my home and I've had many kittens and elderly cats. We have a catio and many toys to entertain your kitty. Catio, toys, food and love! About: My entire life has always revolved around animals. As a lifelong equestrian, I’ve grown up taking care of horses and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Previously a barn manager, I’m now a pet & equine photographer. That means when I’m not at a horse show or photoshoot, I’m at my desk at home with my own two senior dogs curled underneath. My years in the horse world and now with senior dogs has taught me how to apply topical medication, give injections and oral meds, and how to recognize and redirect problematic behavior. Living on 15 wooded acres set back from the road means there is plenty of space for pups to run around as well as numerous off leash walking trails should your pup be up for it. Staying with me is like a country retreat for your pet - walks through the forest and sunsets and squirrel watching from the deck. If you're lucky, you might even get some professional photos out of it. As a self-employed pet photographer, I work from home when I’m not at a horse show or photo shoot. This gives me lots of flexibility day to day and during the day. I like to let dogs approach me as they feel comfortable and understand that dogs are capable of a wide range of personalities. My number one priority is that everyone feels safe and has their needs met. In my home, well behaved and responsive dogs may be allowed off-leash outside as we have plenty of space far from the nearest road. Dogs that can’t be trusted off leash will enjoy wooded walks around the property or nearby dog-friendly trails.

“Marissa was amazing! As a first time user of Rover, I was not familiar with the process. Marissa explained the steps to follow and accepted my booking even though it was very short notice. She even made sure to fit in a visit prior to the dog walking dates to make sure Shadow and I were comfortable. Shadow was well taken care of and I could tell from the various pictures Marissa provided, he was enjoying his time with her! I would not hesitate to book Marissa again in the future!! Five stars!!!”

About: Greetings! I'm Daniel, I've been pet-sitting and dog-walking off and on for 17 years. I love animals: With me, you get a new friend for your pets, and a dependable steward of your home. I believe in the Hawaiian meaning of "Kahu," that we should be guardians and beloved attendants of our animal friends. I devote highly sensitive heart-centered care for your pets for two main reasons: 1) I am a remote worker as a writer and healing coach, so I can be at home with our furry friends. I am not just feeding and walking your dog(s) and caring for your cats; I am providing emotional support and plenty of care (frequent outdoor breaks and walks, playtime, pats, massage, energy work, etc.). 2) I am a professional in the practice of meditation and the healing arts, a path that cultivates empathy, which helps me bond with animals and be more attuned to their needs. I have been on this path for 17 years. I am highly intuitive. I practice Eastern techniques of energy work (qi qong and martial arts) and I am a certified Reiki practitioner, so I love to connect with animals as part of that practice (they are great conductors of energy, which is only ever healing and calming for them to experience). I aspire to the highest level of performance and etiquette. I promise to treat your pets and space as sacred; to maintain a clear boundary between me and your possessions; and to leave no trace. I understand that by inviting me into your home to care for your pets and space that I am with you as a new friend. From my many years of cultivation on my spiritual, healing, and professional path, I assure you my integrity is outstanding, and I would be happy to send you testimonies and references to confirm. Thank you for your trust. I would be happy to chat about sitting or walking for you. I look forward to joining you and yours' in friendship. Warm regards, Daniel I will be available to be at home with your pet for most of every day that I am sitting. My only obligation that takes me out of house are walking other dogs (1 to 3 hours per day) and then the occasional social or other engagement. I will never leave your pet alone for longer than 5 hours. As a remote worker, both for writing and offering healing/coaching services, I work from home and am therefore able to maintain a comforting presence for your pet and provide frequent outdoor time, play, and other care. I recognize the great trust that people grant me in caring for their homes and pets. Integrity is a guiding value of my life: You can rest assured that I will honor my commitment to care for your space and pets with the utmost attention and respect. I'll honor your instructions for being in your house and caring for your pets. I always live lightly, use no more than I need and am permitted to use, and I leave no trace. Thank you for your trust. Daniel

“Jennifer welcomed our dog Maggie into her home for several days while we were away. I felt comfortable with Jennifer from our first conversation; she has extensive experience as a Vet Tech, but is also friendly and kind. Maggie was treated like part of Jennifer’s family and was well cared for during her stay. I am so glad we found her and look forward to working with her again!”
