About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

About: I had beagles growing up and was totally fascinated by them and they brought a big smile to my face with their antics. Later on, I adopted a red Doberman female dog and loved her to pieces taking her on all sort of outdoor adventures - she was highly athletic! I had a poodle who was a bit shy but nevertheless I gave her a great life with endless throwing of the ball for fetch and taking care of her when she went blind - older poodles have that tendency. I have a 11 year old cockapoo who is lean and trim and well loved! Yes could have used more training but what an awesome, well adjusted dog who is super friendly as I my two year old female cocker spaniel who is an absolute joy of sweetness. I have integrity, I think quick on my feet and am very responsible having raised a family and pets. I am a dog whisperer who can tune into all different kinds of dogs and dispositions. I am a semi retired man and so have much more free time. I love outdoor adventures and sunshine and I know dogs do too! First off, every dog is different and has his or her own quirks from dietary to social interactions with other dogs. It’s great to love dogs but it’s also important to provide them structure and pay good attention to their health needs. About: From the time I was young, I’ve always had my own animals to include cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, and into my adult life. I continue to have dogs and ferrets as well as cats. My parents have always had dogs as well and have had a few litters of puppies that I have assisted with, and my dog has had her own litter of puppies so I’m very familiar with young dogs and training and patience. I’ve never worked in a vet clinic, but I have many years of clinical experience with humans so I do have that background. I work from home Monday through Friday and my home office is in our finished basement so the dogs have their own space in the basement with food, water, toys, beds, puppy pads as well as full access to my office to come and go as they please and they just spend the day with me while I’m working. We live on the lake so we don’t have a large yard but it’s also a private road so there’s no traffic and I have an outdoor pen for the dogs but when I’m not working, I also am outside with them so they are always being watched and tended to. I will take them swimming in the lake or out on the canoe if that is something that is OK with pet parents and we do go for walks in the mornings before I start my workday and at lunchtime if the weather permits.

About: I am a young adult who has a passion for working with animals. I have had pets my entire life and recently got my own puppy, whom I’ve been working with. I would love to work with your animals as well and get more experience. This is my passion and a talent that I would love to develop. I am looking to get a career in working with animals and would love the experience. I have a part-time job, but it is very flexible so I pretty much have all availability. I will be available most days as long as scheduled ahead of time. I live in a large field away from roads, and I have a dog friendly puppy and the ability to crate dogs if they need space apart. About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.
About: I have walked/house sat dogs since my freshman year of high school and now I’m going into my sophomore of college. I absolutely love dogs! I grew up watching friends and families dogs as well as walking them. College student home for the summer! I am a loving, reliable sitter for home and pets. I have some extra free time on my hands and I love hanging out with dogs! I believe that offering plenty of affection and attention is very important to your dogs. I also strongly believe in following a pets routine such as walks,medication and so that they still feel comfortable in at home and at home even when the owners aren’t home! About: I've grown up with German Shepard's being bred in my home, have been surrounded and trusted all of my life with pet care from a very young age by friends and family. Have my own dog now, Nahla, who is very loved & well behaved. Depending on the temperament of your dog we can introduce, or your dog and I can have a solo adventure if that's what they'd prefer too! I'm currently available any day of the week, during any daytime hours, and for multiple hour excursions. My work schedule (for the time being) is very flexible, so I am able to create my own hours. I am currently only taking dogs on hikes/ long walks at the moment, no overnight stays. But you can always expect your dog to be taken care of like I would my own when we are in our adventures. My dog is my baby, therefore my #1 responsibility, and you're dog will be treated the same. 💙 You can always expect hikes to: 1. Be close in proximity to emergency vet centers. 2. Always include an emergency first aid kit, including blood stop, and dog safe benadryl incase your pet were to suffer from an allergic reaction to a bee sting or anything else. 3. Have water, food, and treats on stand by. I ask that you provide food, however I will provide treats, unless directed otherwise. Treats are always consciously chosen, the ones I have right now are real duck & turkey treats that are 100% grain free, no fillers, no synthetic colors, or artificial flavors. We can discuss portions that you allow. 4. Have whatever needs your dog might have be 100% into consideration- wether that be pace, different terrain for different agility levels, or medical conditions that limit them. I want your dog coming back feeling satisfied, tired and also proud of themselves. But not overworked or ever in pain / worse condition from when they left. Some dogs can go for miles, Some just for a while- and that's okay! We will also go over the charachter of your dog, and interactions they prefer/ to avoid. If they like kids, socialization, other dogs, ect. If your dog doesn't enjoy socialization then I will find a more secluded trail so it's not over stimulated. My dog prefers old male dogs that are super relaxed and play mildly, so I also understand that finding friends for our pets is sometimes situational and I want to try to find the right fit for your pet so they feel happy and secure in the experience each time. 5. All the love & attention I can wrap up into the length of our hike!

About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.
About: I have always worked with dogs. I have a specialty in dog grooming and can add that service if requested. I care for dogs like they are my family because they are. I work full time in my grooming business I am flexible and will do my best to fit anyone in to make sure their animals are well cared for in all capacity I have an outdoor kennel and grooming station in my home I have a big backyard and animals safety and care is always my top priority.

About: I provide calm, reliable care in a quite setting. I have plenty of fenced in outdoor space for dogs to explore and get exercise. I will make sure they feel at home and well cared for.
