About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. About: I absolutely adore animals. I recently got my masters degree in natural resources and am now working for the state in Augusta. I grew up looking after my neighbors' dogs and cats and over the years I have looked after the pets of many of my friends. This always brought me joy and so I would love the opportunity to take care of your furry family members :) I would happily take your dog on walks and hikes, play fetch, and give them lots of love and attention. I promise to treat them as I would my own pets, which means an endless stream of love and attention. I currently workong full-time but work from home 3 days a week, so I have some flexibility in my availability for pet sitting. I recently had to say goodbye to my own sweet dog, so I am available to do drop in visits or walks, and could keep you pets at my house for overnight visits or stay at your house overnight. I have multiple fenced in safe areas for your pup to play with our friendly pups & other dogs that come here or separately if needed for safety reasons or if your pup is showing signs of stress. They are always watched after carefully and if any signs of separation anxiety, you will be notified and we will go over my plans to help them. I do request to know any health issues before you arrive with your pet. I also expect your pet to be on a flea/ tick prevention and up to date on shots. ( I do want to note as well I regularly check for ticks after outing. ** please tell me if your dog has any aggression, fearful aggression, not potty trained issues, behavioral issues of any sort , also if you prefer your dog to be separate from others or caged during certain times. I do have space to feed everyone separately as well** it's so important to be honest so I'm not learning on the fly- chances are I'm a lot more understanding than you first would think after being judged by others( or if your embarrassed) - I try to help the animal and better their life. ( also yours) I want our place be a fun safe place for all pups and the best way for that is to know all triggers if any and allergies. I am able to help train your dog if you would like help with that as well. I have had a lot of experience in doing so and socializing dogs to help them gaining confidence & joy! I'm home 24/ 7 and sometimes have to go to town, your fur baby is more than welcomed to go on car ride with us! I have a decent sized fenced in yard and always have very friendly dogs that love to play but also love to chill! We love to go play and go for rides! We have been expanding indoor and outdoor fun including adding lick mats for dogs to not be bored! They have a t.v. and a mudroom with huge windows with bird entertainment on rainy days or just to chill at their will! There's tons we do including playing on our 10 acreas!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

For clients who allow my partner to join me on my sittings (who is insured under my private sittings insurance), there is the ability to offer more frequent potty breaks as him and I typically work opposite schedules. No other guests/ friends/ family will ever join me during a dog sitting. Constant Care: Constant care is applied to any sitting that doesn’t allow me to leave for more than 4 hours of the day, per day. Constant care rates start at $200/ night (additional rates still apply) and increase based off of pet’s needs. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I am operating my pet care business, Mainely Pets - Care & Products, full-time! This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

Relaxing time away can only happen if you can trust that your pets are loved and taken care of almost as good as you😊 I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them.
