“We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. Nicole and her husband are such nice couple; warm and genuine. We feel comfortable that Mia is in good hands. Mia was happy and very relaxed when we picked her up. Nicole was also really great about accommodating our schedule as we were running late on pick up. We did not have a good experience boarding Mia at a kennel and found Rover. This was the first time we tried out a dog sitter through Rover. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nicole was with Mia. About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. About: I am a big time dog lover! I work from home and am able to be here with the pets all day and take them out at least every 2 hours or as needed. I have a big house with a decent sized yard (NOT fenced). I'd love a few more companions hanging out with me and my dog, Lola! There aren't a lot of pet sitting options in this area so here I am making it an option :) Please come check me out! I work from home so i am here all day with the pets and able to tend to them as needed. i get an hour break for lunch and thats usually when i take my dog out to play/walk. About: I'm an animal lover of both cats and dogs. I love going on hikes and being outdoors so exercise/playing won't be an issue. I've always allowed pets on my couches/bed so they can get as comfy as they need and get some TLC as the same time. There is always fresh water available. I also have a 20x20ft dog play pen behind our house so they can run freely and not worry about getting loss, and the fence is plenty high enough for bigger dogs as well. I think if you give me the chance, your little one won't want to go anywhere else. I also know how to clip nails, and I have a brush to groom as well so they'll definitely feel plenty of love.

I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. Since I have the ability to be with the dogs all day it made sense to offer my home and a family setting. Our dog Sweety sleeps with us at night and so do our guest dogs. Unless that isn’t happening at home. The dogs we care for are like family during their visit. We live in a very private setting. I have a large area for dogs to run and play by themselves if they prefer or can spend time with our two friendly dogs who love to play even more.I offer crates if needed. I am available most days and times and am able to be pretty flexible. Weekends can get a little busy but I can fit a visit or two in if needed. Every day I pay attention to the animal's health and mood. I'm quick to notice if something is amiss and take care of it right away while communicating closely with the owner.
About: I have taken care of and interacted with many breeds and mixes of dogs, both my own and friends. Have taken care of multiple of cats and even interacted and helped care for several family ferrets. I currently work 3 overnights at a local hospital and am looking to spend some of my free time helping and interacting with local pets and pet parents in need of services, during the afternoons or nights on thur, fri, sat and Sundays. I work most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday therefor am not available on those days. I love and enjoy working with animals when I can outside of my healthcare career working with people. Having several pets of my own, as well as family companions, we take care of all their needs regarding food, play and exercise. Our own dogs spend multiple hours of the day playing inside and outside with each as well as with the people in our home. All pets are well taken care of and has their individual needs met. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: I have always taken care of dogs and they have always been my favourite part of the world I’m currently in college and I can’t wait to get a bunch of dogs of my own.
