Personalized care for your dog or cat - Wye Mills

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Wye Mills

“Michelle took care of my three, extremely spoiled Cavaliers and from the daily pictures she sent every day, I don’t think my dogs wanted to come back home. They seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a bit. I highly recommend Michelle.”

“Brigid took care of my senior girl, Chloe, for 4 nights. She was open to a last minute meet and greet. She accommodated Chloe’s senior needs, sent updates, and gave a nice verbal summary at how Chloe’s time went and included things she will miss about her. Chloe seemed content when I arrived, often going over to Brigid several times while we packed up all of her things into the car. Being a dog sitter myself, I found comfort in that, considering they were strangers just days before. I would recommend Brigid!”

“Lindsay was great!!! She was punctual, pleasant, and took great care of my two dogs! They played, enjoyed her kids, loved playing with her dog in the huge fenced yard… I couldn’t have chosen more wisely! Thank you Lindsay!”

“Shuling was fantastic! I was very nervous to have my pup Miso puppy sat for the first time, but I needed a sitter for the holiday weekend, with very short notice. Shuling said yes immediately, and allowed me to come and meet her and her sweet pup Bear that same day. She really put me at ease. She kept Miso for 3 nights and sent several photos twice per day. I never had to worry at all. I can’t thank you enough, Shuling! Miso would love to come and hang out with you again sometime soon!”

About: I will love and care for your pet as if it were my very own Grand-puppy. Like my Charlie. Charlie is my daughters dog who reminded me that I loved dogs. I am looking forward to building my business in a career that I love so I can retire from my current job but still have work I look forward to doing. I will treat your pet as part of my family. I have a Grand-puppy named Charlie who came into my life and reminded me I loved dogs.
“Jeren did an amazing job with my dog! She was even flexible with my pick up time when my flight got delayed. Would definitely recommend if your dog likes other dogs and is very shy like mine”

“Kevin was amazing! He was super responsive, caring and even sent me photos of my lab, Moon, every morning either playing or on a walk with him. When I picked her up, I knew she had been taken care of. I Will definitely use him again in the future!”

“We’re so grateful for the great care Katelyn took of Hank! And appreciate all the communication - receiving pictures, videos, and updates on how well it was going. It was our first time entrusting Hank to a dog sitter so I was nervous but it went perfectly!”

“After a meet and greet we decided to do an overnight trial and our dog loved it! The whole family is very warm and inviting and our dog felt at home the moment he walked in the door. Their house has a nice fenced in backyard as a plus. We have already booked our summer vacation and plan on booking other trips as well. Very happy to have found such a perfect fit.”

“Becca was amazing!! She was able to take care of our beagle on last minute notice. She communicated with me multiple times a day and sent updates and pictures. Our dog was very happy and comfortable with her and I will have her as my go-to sitter from now on ☺️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!”

“Our pets felt right at home with Janice and Stalio. They were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating with our boys. They kept us up to date daily with pictures and messages and even helped us out with making them their food because we miscounted the amount we sent. They provided amazing care and we look forward to rebooking with them in the future.”

“Shelby and her husband Kyle took incredible care of Bentley. I honestly wish our dogs could spend more time together. They had so much fun. I highly recommend Shelby and Kyle to anyone looking for a warm professional loving environment for their dog!”

“Thank you Hannah for this trial run. Taking the time to get to know my boys & their schedules We are looking forward to our vacation now knowing they will be well taken care of while we are gone”

“Rebeka couldn’t be nicer and handled our handful of a dog very well. She responds to messages quickly, and I appreciated her reaching out to confirm the day of our scheduled appointment. She is very prompt and has a lot of dog behavioral experience that is helpful. I would not hesitate to use her again!”

“Excellent and thorough! Clearly loves dogs and cats. She was on time and did everything I listed for my pets. The Rover site was easy to use and it gave me quick access to pick Summer as our sitter. Will definitely have her back!”

“Elizabeth did a great job taking Zuma on his walks and keeping us posted on everything including sending pictures! We highly recommend Elizabeth for your pet care needs!”

About: I grew up with cats & have years of experience caring for them as part of my family. I’m comfortable with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, playing, and of course giving plenty of attention & affection when they want it! Although I don’t currently have pets of my own due to my school & work schedule, pet sitting gives me the opportunity to get my serotonin dose from all the cuteness while doing something I enjoy! I understand that every cat has their own personality & boundaries, & I’m happy to follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable while you’re away.
About: I’ve been dog walking and sitting for neighbors since I was 12 years old. I’ve dog sat multiple types of dogs. I’ve done dog walking, check-in & potty break visits, and I’ve stayed at a clients home for long periods of time (5+ days) to be with their pups. I’ve also been tasked with administering insulin shots to dogs before. And I have a lot of experience with dogs that have anxiety, whether with new people, thunderstorms, or anything else, as I have one myself and a long remaining client of mine does as well. I’ve always loved dogs, having grown up having 2 smaller dogs myself. I am hoping to do pet sitting as a new permanent business, so I will have nothing but time to look after your pets! I will schedule out days and time periods based on client necessity and to provide the optimal care for your pets. Because I have two dogs myself, one of which has severe people and other animal anxiety, which for the safety of your pets and mine means I am unable to bring any pets into my home as of current. However, I’ve stayed at the homes of clients before to be with their pups while they’re away. I feed them every morning and night or make sure the food bowl is full depending on how the client feeds their dogs. I give them any medicine or joint tablets that they need to be well. I let them out multiple times a day whenever they need it. And I try to play with and pet them as much as I can while I’m there so they don’t miss their humans too much. I will even take them on a walk if allowed.
About: I’ve grown up around all sorts of breeds my entire life. I’ve learned different demeanors and picked up on different signs of when a dog is scared or even uncomfortable. I used to volunteer at the SPCA and a pet store when I was still in highschool. Now I am starting college in the spring for vet tech! I work Monday-Friday in ridgely md from 8:15-3:30. I am able to walk dogs on the weekends and anytime after work. If your dog is able to not use the potty for a longer period then I’m able to board during the week! I do have two dogs and a cat of my own so beware if your dog is not dog or cat friendly! My pets in my home are spoiled brats if you ask me. My German shepherd has frequent upset stomachs so it’s always chicken and rice for her. My dogs are fed on a schedule and I will make sure to follow and abide by every rule you have in place for your furry best friend !

Perfect for high energy dogs - Wye Mills
“Can’t thank Sydney enough for a wonderful day at her home for Aurora! Everything was perfect, with plenty of room to run outside and enjoy the outdoors. Even made a new friend! Can’t wait to be back again soon.”

About: I've always been great with animals, able to read them and good at figuring out what they need. I volunteered at Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne's County for several years starting in High School. I've worked closely with large animals with behavioral problems, so I'm down the handle whatever quirks your pet has. My schedule is very flexible, and I can usually provide services as needed when given prior notice. Anytime of day as well, within reason ofc. I'm very adept at reading animals behavior and figuring out when they need attention, when they need space, and good at gaining an animals' trust.
“Thank you, Jessica. It was a relief to have my older pup in such loving, capable hands. Thank you for sending photos along throughout the day. It helped take my mind off of my surgical day.”

About: I have been walking/sitting all sized dogs for 10+ years simply because dogs make me happier than anything else! I consider myself affordable so you can work away from home with ease knowing your dog won't be in a kennel all day long! I also dog sit/house sit if you need to go away for business or vacation and can not take your 4 legged friends with you. I am trustworhty and dependable so you do not have to worry about a stranger coming in for your dog but more so your dogs BFF coming in to let the out for a little and play and to use the bathroom for a potty break! I hope to talk to you soon and meet your furry friend(s)! I am home almost all day everyday so my schedule is pretty open and I am extremely flexible to accommodate your schedule as well if needed! I have a fenced in big back yard and a very friendly 3 year old lab to accompany your dog! Frequent let outs and frequent cuddle seshs!
About: Active Dog Loving Grandparents We enjoyed the pleasure of having pets our entire lives, they have brought us a sense of peace and joy and best of all unconditional love. Our best friends have been Boston Terrier’s, German Sheppard’s, American Bulldogs and Boxers. They are all unique in their personalities but all love to be loved, just like us. We are retired so one of us are at home all the time. We live on a great fence property with an awesome nieghborhood that we love to take walks around multiple times a day (weather permitting.) The dogs usually have a grand time taking a run around the property and playing. Should it be too warm of course they enjoy the air conditioning ? Now that our children are grown and married with children/dogs we occasionally keep their Boxer brother (Duke) and sister (Honey) and our grandchildren too. You can feel safe leaving your pets in our care. We will look after them and love them like our own! In fact, they may not want to leave as our grand-dogs do? Can provide a bath prior to your return if you would like. Look forward to meeting you and your baby soon. Grandma J

I have a two-story home with a back yard. Typically, dogs hang out with us during the day in our family room and sleep on dog beds in my bedroom. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and walk dogs during the day on leashes. We have two cats in our home who are used to having dogs in the home.
About: For me, pet care has never been just a job—it's been a lifelong passion. I was raised in a family of professional trainers and boarders, where I learned from an early age how to properly care for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. We also spent countless hours working alongside local shelters, helping dogs build confidence and prepare for their forever homes. Professionally, I have over 20 years of experience working in boarding, training assistance, behavioral rehabilitation, and pet care. In 2012, I began my career as a professional dog groomer and later became certified to groom both dogs and cats. In 2020, I became certified to train new groomers as they worked toward their professional certifications. Today, I combine all of that experience to provide a calm, loving, and individualized experience for every pet in my care. My Specialties I specialize in creating fear-free, low-stress experiences built on patience, trust, and compassion. Some of my areas of expertise include: • Fear-free handling and grooming • Trauma rehabilitation grooming for pets who cannot safely visit traditional salons due to fear, anxiety, or behavioral concerns • Senior pet care • Puppy care and socialization • Pets with medical or mobility challenges • Basic training and reinforcement of good manners • Administering medications while carefully monitoring for symptoms or side effects One of my greatest passions is helping fearful dogs learn that grooming and handling don't have to be scary. Rather than forcing pets through services, I work at their pace, building trust over time with the goal of helping them become comfortable and confident again. Many of my clients come to me after being turned away from traditional grooming salons due to behavioral or medical concerns. What Your Pet Can Expect I strive to make every stay feel like a vacation with family rather than simply boarding. Your pet may enjoy: • Daily walks (typically 2-4 per day, while following your normal routine whenever possible) • Plenty of one-on-one attention and affection • Playtime, enrichment, and exercise • Trips to the dog park (with your permission and only if appropriate for your pet) • Picture, video, and message updates throughout their stay • A calm, loving home environment where they are treated like family One unique tradition many pets come to love is bedtime story time. It may sound unusual, but quietly reading aloud has helped many anxious dogs relax before bed. I've even seen it help dogs experiencing storm anxiety or fear of loud noises settle more comfortably. Routine is incredibly important to me. If your pet has a specific schedule, feeding routine, medication plan, or bedtime ritual, I'll do everything possible to maintain it while they're in my care. Because of my experience working with behavioral and medical cases, I also pay close attention to subtle changes in your pet's behavior, mobility, appetite, and overall well-being. If I notice anything concerning, I'll communicate with you immediately and act quickly in your pet's best interest. Communication & Grooming I believe communication is one of the most important parts of pet care. The more I know about your pet's personality, routines, preferences, and medical history, the better experience I can provide. In return, you'll receive detailed updates about how they're doing, including behavior, activities, and anything I notice that may be helpful for you to know. During boarding or daycare stays, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and offer guidance on grooming maintenance, body language, and behavioral changes that may strengthen your bond with your pet at home. Professional grooming services are available for pets staying in my care. Grooming recommendations, pricing, and service completion depend on your pet's size, coat condition, medical needs, and stress level. My philosophy is simple: I will never force a pet through a service. Their comfort, trust, and emotional well-being always come first. Booking Information To help protect my home while still providing every pet with the highest level of care, the estimated price for boarding and daycare includes a refundable cleaning/security fee. This fee is fully refunded after your pet's stay provided there is no excessive damage or extraordinary cleaning required beyond normal pet messes. I believe this allows me to continue offering a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for every guest while being fair to both pet parents and my home. My goal is simple: every pet should leave my care feeling safe, loved, understood, and excited to come back. I am generally home all day. I do work as a groomer for pets that are unable to got to salons, but I do this from home as well. So your pets will have round the clock love and care. You will need to provide any food and specific treats if your pet has a favorite or dietary restrictions/allergies. Pets are family. I will personally take them for walks throughout the day for fresh air and exercise, play with them and ensure they feel comfortable and lived while you are away. I do offer creating services, however, depending on the size of your dog, you may have to supply the crate. You pet will always be treated like family, but the details of their routine and activities will depend on your instructions. I respect that different lifestyles require different things (i.e crating vs free roam, scheduled feeding vs grazing, scheduled walks/potty breaks vs whenever they want to go out, etc.) and will maintain that sense of normalcy as much as possible. If you opt for grooming, and I am able to comfortably groom your dog, grooming will take place 1-2 days before your return. That way they have time to decompress after, and if they are stressed for parts, it gives leeway to do little bits over time.
About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Growing up, my mom had five dogs—some of which had puppies—and I helped raise and care for them. I’ve also cared for cats in multi-pet households, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and creating calm, safe environments for shy or senior cats. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I now have a black Yorkie of my own, and I treat every animal I care for like part of the family—whether they bark or purr! I currently work part time- and have lots of free time! I will send out a daily schedule of what I’ll be doing with the pets! I will take your dog out on walks on our neighborhood trail outside! I also have a few ring cameras, and will send a lot of pictures/videos throughout the day.

“Meeting Stephanie for the first time was great. We are new to the area and she welcomed us to Oxford. Stephanie made our dog Bella feel comfortable to her house, yard and her dog before we left her. This was a great experience for us in such a short notice.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years I’ve owned and cared for many different breeds and personalities, including Saint Bernards, Great Danes, and Coonhounds, which gave me plenty of experience handling large and giant-breed dogs. I’ve also shared my home with multiple cats over the years—many of them seniors—so I understand the patience, routine, and gentle care older pets often need. I’ve spent years fostering animals as well, frequently working with senior pets and dogs that may be anxious or slow to trust new people. I pride myself on being patient and letting animals warm up to me at their own pace so they can feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. My home currently includes an Alaskan Klee Kai and a Border Collie mix, so daily life already revolves around exercise, enrichment, and making sure dogs stay happy and engaged. When I travel, my trips are often pet-focused—I’ve driven cross-country multiple times with my dogs to explore new trails, parks, and adventures together. For walks, drop-ins, and house sitting, I always aim to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel secure in their own home. As a larger and experienced handler, I’m comfortable managing multiple dogs on leash and adapting to different energy levels—whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers relaxed companionship and a calm presence. I’m also experienced in administering most medications and providing attentive care for senior pets who may need a little extra support. I have a very flexible work schedule, and can accommodate most dogs needs! I no longer offer overnight sitting, but can accommodate multiple drop ins and walks while you are gone, start long as early as 7 am and as late as 8-9 ish. Your dog’s comfort and routine are my top priorities. I provide focused attention, interactive play, and companionship tailored to your pup’s personality — from calm evenings at home to energetic walks or adventures at parks and trails. About: Hi my name is Grace F. I've been around dogs and other animals all my life.I currently work at Merck in Millsboro but previously worked at Savannah Animal hospital, Humane Animal Partners, and walked dogs in NYC. I have experience with dog handling, dog walking, and doggy daycare. I've dealt with every size dog from my years of dog experience. And numerous ages. Ways you can stay in contact with me is through my cell phone or email. I am open to doing overnights, visits, and walks. I've worked with dogs with aggression towards other dogs before. I have experience with giving prescription medicine through pills and needles. I live in Easton, MD but am willing to travel. Any questions feel free to ask me :) I currently work at Merck in Millsboro so I can only do sittings on the weekends, but I usually work from 6am -2:30pm. Thank you I unfortunately can’t have any dogs at my home, I can only watch dogs from your home. But I will take the best care of your pets.
About: I will love and take care of your pets as if they were my own. I love to go out and play with pets I care for. I would dog sit when I was in high school for different families. Those families loved how attentive I was, and as a result they would refer me to their friends. I’m always available for you buddies! You and me both know that your pets are more than pets, theyre family. You don’t want just anyone taking care of family. I do currently work full time, however I have a job that is extremely flexible. I set my own hours, including when I am in my office. This pairs perfectly with animal care and house care because I can come and go as frequently as needed. Due to my open schedule I can be available for any needs your pets may have. I prefer to let the client tell me exactly what they want for their pet. I like to keep your life as simple as possible while giving you peace of mind by following any requests you have. If you need your animal crated, if you want them roaming, whatever is asked you can expect to be done.

About: I’ve grown up caring for animals & have experience with dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even chickens! Taking care of pets was part of my responsibilities growing up, so I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after them, & making sure they receive plenty of attention and care. Although I don’t currently have pets of my own because of my work & school schedule, I love spending time with & caring for my family & friends’ pets. I also have experience staying overnight to care for dogs through a family connection. I’m responsible, attentive, & will treat your pets like they’re part of the family. Pet sitting gives me the opportunity to get my serotonin dose from all the cuteness of animals while doing something I enjoy! I’m currently in nursing school, which gives me flexibility outside of my class & clinical schedule for pet care. I’m available throughout the week for drop-in visits, walks, & overnight stays depending on the day. I’m happy to coordinate with pet parents ahead of time to make sure their pet’s normal routine fits with my schedule. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pet & your home. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine & any instructions you provide regarding feeding, walks, medications, crates, litter boxes, or other care needs. I’ll make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, & gets plenty of attention while you’re away, & I’m happy to provide any photo & text updates as needed for peace of mind.

“This was our first time using Rebeka and she was phenomenal. Not only did she make arrangements at work to walk my dog super last minute but she was very sweet and conscious of my dog’s anxiety around other dogs. We will definitely be using her again! I have already referred her to family and friends.”
