About: I have taken care of animals for a job (specifically dogs) since I was 14 years old. I have had multiple dogs throughout my life with my family, and we have fostered senior dogs all the way to puppies. I have had time in shelters with dogs as well. I have experience with simple “check ins”, to swimming with dogs, taking them on a short walk all the way to multi mile hikes, and also staying overnight/full time at the house with them. I have experience giving medication as well, and following strict diet orders. You name it - I have experience! I am currently working part time, mostly in evenings, with a short hourly schedule - so lots of time (especially in mornings and days) to hang with the dogs! I I think that dogs and pets are our family. They should be treated with respect, love, and kindness. Whatever their needs may be - I am all for making them comfortable and feeling loved. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 13 years and have 2 dogs of my own. I’ve rescued stray dogs off the street before and put them in a safe environment. I was once very active in helping animal shelter. A close friend of mine is a Veterinarian and had asked me to dog sit for her when she traveled, it was a pleasure to handle 5 dogs at a time at her house. I enjoy taking walks in nature with dogs. I have plenty of time to play with your dog and take them on walks. My schedule is open daily and weekly routine as well once established. I love to give dog treats and play ball with them. He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”

“Jim and Mary were awesome with our pup. They sent me pictures throughout his stay so I could see how he was doing. He was very comfortable with them and when we picked him up, he acted the same as the dog we had left. (we had previous experiences where he was skittish for a few days after staying with a previous dog sitter) Jim and Mary treated our Camden as if he were their dog. I would be comfortable leaving our dog with them anytime and plan to use them again in the future. I highly recommend them!”
“Amazing sitter for my German Shepherd! I can’t say enough good things about Shakiyla! She watched my German Shepherd, Bucky, for 4 days and took such amazing care of him. Bucky can be a handful with his high energy and anxiety, but she handled him so well. At the last minute, we also asked if she could watch my mom’s dog, Kandi (a Husky/Shepherd mix), and she was more than willing. She cared for Kandi just as wonderfully, making sure her needs were met too. What really impressed me was her communication—she even put me, my mom, and my husband in a group chat so we all stayed updated. That way, if she couldn’t reach one of us, she could easily contact someone else. She went above and beyond by sending daily videos and pictures, which really put me at ease while I was away. On top of that, she shared some really helpful suggestions for Bucky that showed she genuinely cared about his well-being. I am so grateful to have found her, and I plan to book with her every time I need someone to look after Bucky. She’s the best!”
