“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

In high school I worked as a kennel technician at a boarding kennel and gained an internship at the local veterinary office. now in college, I am studying animal science to hopefully get a degree in veterinary medicine, and continue to pet sit for my friends and family including both cats and dogs. About: I grew up on a farm so I have had animals of all sorts since I was little. I ran an equine boarding facility for 2 and a 1/2 years caring for up to 25 horses at a time. I am currently halfway through my degree to become a vet technician. My husband and I own 3 horses 2 dogs 4 cats and and 4 fish. I love taking our dogs for walks and hiking. Our cats enjoy playing with toy mice, the laser point, and eating treats 😋 We foster cats, so I have dealt with cats of all shapes and sizes! I also have worked with dogs that have a more aggressive/cautious personality. I am willing to work with them as well! Your animals will be in great hands! 😊 I currently work part-time so late morning to late afternoons are the best! My classes are in the evening and we take our dogs on walk in the morning before my husband goes to work. Midday walks and dropins are perfect! We have about 1/2 an acre fenced in backyard that our dogs love playing in and our cats love to play with toy mice, the laser pointer, and eating treats! One of our dogs is older so I am completely comfortable with older dogs and puppies! Since we foster cats and kittens I am familiar with cats of all shapes and sizes!

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: I have experience training dogs of all sizes and ages. My family had dogs throughout the entirety of my childhood, giving me a deep appreciation for pets of all kinds growing up. I gained further training and experience through my employment at Petco as an operations specialist. Pet care has been a part of my daily routine for the entirety of my life. Whether it was making a special dinner for a picky-eater dog that needed medication, taking a rambunctious puppy out into the yard to relieve their energy, or taking multiple dogs out for a walk to make sure they get their exercise, pet care isn't just an addition to my routine, it is an integral structure to it. I am a recent graduate currently in the process of job hunting, so my schedule during the day and week is very flexible and open. I am available almost all summer.I am a full time college student working on my Bachelors of science but I am home for the summer. Pet sitting can be fit into my schedule as needed. I can let the dogs run outside for a while in a fenced yard, I can take them on walks through the neighborhood, I can practice commands, or just give some snuggles.

“Lydia was fantastic! She welcomed her home to us with her lovely family including her chickens during our meet and greet. We proceeded to boarding 2 nights with her. Her home provided a warm, cozy and energetic vibe for our Poodle who is out going and craves human interaction. Lydia was not familiar with poodle grooming initially but after a quick demonstration and positive feedback she mastered it in no time. I appreciated her attention to detail, ability to communicate throughout the day and her willingness to learn how to care for specific dog breeds. It was a mutual rewarding experience and she even supervised her children doing obedience training with our pup.”

“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

She sent updates throughout my pups stay and makes him feel right at home. It’s almost like his second home. She has all the toys, a huge back yard and provides lots of love. I was worried about Nova because I had no idea how she would respond to being put in doggy care while I was away on business to California as this was her first time and I worried about her size. She did great, Heather was wonderful. When the meet and greet went well, I was relieved. They took to eachother immediately. She, her husband and daughter made her feel like she was with family and let her be... I think she misses Heather and the goats and other diversifications she had on the farm. I will definitely be using her again, and this time Nova's sister Nala will be with her...”
