As he spent the majority of his life as a puppy mill papa, Remi can be challenging. As a teacher and a mom, Danielle had the skills and patience to work with him. She kept us updated throughout the weekend and it was easy to see the Remi was happy and content. I’m fairly certain Remi didn’t want to come home !! About: I have 1 dog and four cats, a few years of pet sitting experience, and even worked as a kennel tech at a dog kennel before. I’m currently in the process of finding a part-time or full-time job since I’m taking a break from college, but pet sitting on the side would give me a good opportunity to not only earn money but to give me a purpose and do something I’ve always loved to do: caring for and helping animals (and helping their owners out too!) Like I mentioned, I have several pets at home so I can easily do things like taking dogs outside to go to the bathroom and on walks, feeding them, clean up after them (I especially clean litter boxes a lot), and I can even stay with them as long as they need if they don’t do well being alone for long periods of time.

Apart from my academic coursework in animal care and welfare, I have more than eight years of personal care and volunteer experience with numerous animals, including but not limited to: cats, dogs, horses, rats and mice, hamsters, snakes, various types of lizards and amphibians, goats, chickens, sheep, cattle, and even invertebrates such as tarantulas and scorpions. Rest assured, I’ll never discriminate against your furry pal! I have experience giving oral medication, both liquid and pill, as well as insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience caring for elderly animals — like my 18 year old cat, Maya! I can provide feeding, brushing, hoof care, walking, exercise, medication, play time, turning out, litterbox cleaning and much more! I have a driver’s license and my own transportation, and my hours and pay are flexible. I am willing to drive 60-90 minutes depending on needs. As mentioned prior, I have extensive prior experience volunteering at various shelters, vets and farms assisting with animal care, as well as my own personal experience caring for a diverse array of pets. I am happy to gather recommendations from organizations I work with. While caring for your pet or pets, I will regularly keep in contact with you and update you with both text and photos (if desired), along with keeping a dedicated spreadsheet of feeding/watering/grooming times and overall health to guarantee your peace of mind. I am capable of providing pet care across a flexible schedule. I can provide early care from 6-9 AM in the morning and any time after 4:20 PM on weekdays, as well as 24 hour care on weekends and overnight stays if needed. I am able to care for pets in a wide variety of ways thanks to expensive experience. Walking, feeding, litter-box cleaning, playtime, as well as insulin/subcutaneous fluid injections are all possible. I can also administer medication orally. Daily checkups as well as overnight stays are both possible.
