They live about 45 minutes away from me but because of the attentiveness, I would drive 2 hours if I had to! I didn’t have a car for the last time they watched Lola and they drove all the way down to pick her up and drop her off. Even with the loss of my little one, they remain family to me and us always. With or without a pet, I will forever be grateful and see them as one of my own.”

About: I am currently doing Rover part-time, I’m also working 2 other part-time jobs, however, for one of them I get to choose my own schedule. If given enough notice (usually a week) I can take off the days you’d need from one of my jobs, and then just schedule my other around it! I’ve had and taken care of dogs/cats since a young age. I love all animals and caring for them! Ive taken 2 pre-vet classes and would love to have a job working with animals full-time, no matter the job! As of now, I am caring for my 2 cats and leopard gecko! I only work Thurs-Sun, never more than 8 hours + my other job I can pick my own schedule! I am free all other weekdays to be able to take care of your pets! I am no longer able to do house sitting because I now have a baby to take care of, but if they are good with kids and cats, your pet is more than welcome to come stay with us! I prefer having the option to crate in case I need to go out for a bit, but I have taken care of pets who didn’t need one! Your pets are treated as my own when they are here, we take long walks around my apartment complex, I have treats for both cats and dogs, and many toys! Let me know if your pet has any allergies or dietary restrictions so they can be as healthy and happy as possible

“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. About: I’ve had and loved animals my whole life and have experience watching all sorts of animals in all shapes age and size. My hope is for both pets and parents to be so comfortable with me that being separated is stressfree ! I currently work roughly 9am -3:30 pm M-F. “We took Finn over to Arlene’s for the first time yesterday to spend the day (after our meet and greet a couple of weeks prior). We picked him up from Arlene and she told me that I t took a little time (an hour) to get him to settle down, but after that he had a full day of play with the other 2 dogs that were there. From looking at the photos, I could tell Finn had the most enjoyable day! (He’s an only dog.) We plan on going out of town and I’m so happy to find someone that we feel comfortable leaving him with. I work from home, so I’m usually available throughout the week and most weekends, making me super flexible for drop-ins and walks! While I can sometimes accommodate daytime requests, I generally prefer to schedule walks and visits after 4 p.m. once my workday is wrapped up. I’m happy to work with your pet’s schedule and provide them with the care and attention they deserve! When I take your dog on a walk or visit your pet, I treat them like they're my own. I make sure walks are fun and tailored to their energy level, whether it’s a relaxing stroll or a more energetic outing. I keep a close eye on them to ensure they’re comfortable and safe the entire time. During drop-ins, I’ll give them lots of love, playtime, and bathroom breaks, and make sure they have fresh water. About: I grew up in a dog-loving home—there was never a time we didn’t have a furry friend in the family. Since my very first pet, I’ve enjoyed caring for animals. Now as an adult, I have two dogs and a cat of my own. One of my pups is a sweet senior who enjoys the slower pace of life, and the other is a high-energy guy I’ve raised since he was a puppy. We went through all the training together—lots of patience, consistency, and treats!—and now he’s a well-behaved, happy companion who keeps me on my toes. My cat is curious and full of personality, always finding new spots to nap and new ways to charm everyone. Fun Facts Just About Me: I moved to Hagerstown with my fiancé, 2 dogs and cat about 2 years ago. My fiancé and I are getting married in May 2026. I play adult softball and kickball. I love to be outside whether it's walking the dogs, attempting to garden or being on the water. We also have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood perfect for walks, a puppy play pen for supervised fun, and plenty of space to crate pets comfortably if needed. All areas are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, and I carefully manage food, toys, and any medications. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I maintain open communication with owners about any special needs or behaviors. Building trust with pets and their families is important to me, so I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs.

“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”
