About: Hello, I’m Kirsten. I have been actively dog sitting for the last 5 years in and around Washington county and Frederick county. As well as the surrounding areas. (Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) As of September 2026 we do have a newborn. I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I can work from home most days which allows a very flexible schedule. I am willing to accommodate for what ever needs are present and will make sure your pet is well taken care of. Safety, Trust & Environment: Your dog’s safety will always come first, but I also believe dogs deserve to experience the world outside. Rain, snow, or shine—hot or cold—I’m prepared to get them outside and moving. In cold or snowy conditions, I’ll monitor their paws and comfort and follow any instructions you have for coats, boots, or other gear. Weather won’t scare me away, but unsafe conditions will change the plan. Extreme heat, severe storms, dangerous ice, or conditions that could put your dog at risk may mean a shorter outdoor walk with the remaining time devoted to safe indoor attention and stimulation. Trust matters just as much. You’re trusting me with a member of your family and, in many cases, access to your home. I’ll respect your property, follow your instructions, communicate with you, and make sure your dog is safe and secure before I leave. I also want dogs to have the opportunity to be dogs. I’ll give them time to sniff, explore, investigate their surroundings, and experience what’s happening around them instead of treating every walk like a race. Every dog is different, and I’ll learn yours. Rain, snow, or shine. Hot or cold. My goal is to become someone you trust—and someone your dog gets excited to see walking through the door.

About: Ever since I can remember, I have always been around and loved animals. My Grandma was very influential in teaching me to love and care for them and how to read their body language. I started pet sitting when I was in elementary school, when our neighbors would go on vacation I would care for their cat and fish. I have had many beloved pets growing up, including; cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, lizards, hamsters, and a mouse. Currently, I have a previously feral, cow cat named queenie. I have taken a veterinary science course at hcc, where I studied animal anatomy. I also worked as a volunteer and fostered at the humane society , a non-profit no kill organization that works with Petsmart, to get animals into forever homes. I am currently in school to get a Bachelors Degree in Biology, with a focus on Zoology. My goal is to study and work directly with wild animals in order to preserve them! :) If you guys have any questions feel free at ask! I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! About: My Experience My experience caring for dogs goes back well before I started doing this full time. In high school, I walked dogs for people in my community to earn extra money, so getting paid to grab a leash and spend time with dogs is actually something I’ve come back to years later. Consistency is important to me, and regular walks give me the opportunity to learn your dog’s personality, routine, favorite places, preferred pace, and individual needs. Whether it’s 2 PM or 2 AM, a beautiful sunny afternoon or a snowy morning, my goal is to be someone you can depend on—and someone your dog gets excited to see because they know it’s time to go explore. Safety, Trust & Environment: Your dog’s safety will always come first, but I also believe dogs deserve to experience the world outside. Rain, snow, or shine—hot or cold—I’m prepared to get them outside and moving. I’ll always adjust our pace, distance, and route to your dog and the conditions rather than automatically canceling a walk because the weather isn’t perfect. Throughout every walk, I pay close attention to your dog’s body language, breathing, energy level, paws, traffic, other animals, and our surroundings. On hot days, that means watching pavement temperatures, prioritizing shade and water, and recognizing signs of overheating. In cold or snowy conditions, I’ll monitor their paws and comfort and follow any instructions you have for coats, boots, or other gear. Weather won’t scare me away, but unsafe conditions will change the plan. Extreme heat, severe storms, dangerous ice, or conditions that could put your dog at risk may mean a shorter outdoor walk with the remaining time devoted to safe indoor attention and stimulation. Trust matters just as much. You’re trusting me with a member of your family and, in many cases, access to your home. I’ll respect your property, follow your instructions, communicate with you, and make sure your dog is safe and secure before I leave. I also want dogs to have the opportunity to be dogs. I’ll give them time to sniff, explore, investigate their surroundings, and experience what’s happening around them instead of treating every walk like a race. Every dog is different, and I’ll learn yours. Rain, snow, or shine. Hot or cold. My goal is to become someone you trust—and someone your dog gets excited to see walking through the door.
