“My lhasa apso is very attached to us and shows high anxiety when a family member is not around, even to the point of vomiting when my daughter went away on a trip in June. I was very nervous about leaving him during our family vacation, but Sarah and her family went above and beyond to make sure that Oliver was comfortable. He received lots of belly rubs and attention, went on nice walks and trips to the dog park, and became BFF's with Jack, their beagle. Sarah sent numerous pictures at least twice a day, and my favorites were of Oliver and Jack snuggling together. Seeing this pictures greatly helped my own anxiety at being so far away from my fur baby. Sarah also gave updates. Her family just really seemed to understand dogs. She was not upset when Oliver had "marked a piece of furniture" but was totally cool about it; similarly, when I warned her that Oliver is prone to throwing up when away from his family, her response was, "we have hardwood floors so it's easy to clean up." Oliver had a wonderful experience with Sarah, Jack, and the rest of the family, and I recommend her for anyone and especially those with anxious pups.”

About: I have taken care of pets for most of my life, (dogs and cats).. Our last dog lived to be almost 17 due to great care and love. I welcome any pets. i will care for them as they are mine. I am a retired nurse practitioner and home most hours of each day. We live in a dog walking community and close to parks ideal for long walks. Loch Raven Reservoir is close to our home with many great trails. I have a fenced yard with a pool. I would not leave any dog alone in the yard, our neighborhood is great for walking. I will only take pets friendly to children.

I work from home every day of the week, can provide separate accommodations away from my own dog or if they are friendly to male dogs together time to help burn up Energy. I can feed 2 or 3 times a day, crate is optional per request. Fenced in yard, weekly baths and plenty of outdoor time. Our dog eats once a day in the evening. He made sure the plan for Lem was super clear beforehand, which I especially appreciated since the schedule I gave him to complement my friend's visit schedule was not perfectly regular, and he didn't miss a visit! He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs, both drop in and overnight visits, for two years now. I’ve dealt with small and large dogs and know how to handle them. I’ve grown up with multiple dogs in one house and know the different needs each dog requires! Kevin was a total gentleman and Lulu was thrilled that he shared his favorite spots with her. Lulu can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and I can travel easy knowing she’s being taken such good care of!”
