I’ve done dog walking, check-in & potty break visits, and I’ve stayed at a clients home for long periods of time (5+ days) to be with their pups. I feed them every morning and night or make sure the food bowl is full depending on how the client feeds their dogs. I give them any medicine or joint tablets that they need to be well. I let them out multiple times a day whenever they need it. And I try to play with and pet them as much as I can while I’m there so they don’t miss their humans too much. I do offer grooming services for any pets in my care. However, pricing and service completion will depend on the size of your dog, condition your pet is in, and their stress levels. I will never force a pet through a service. I am generally home all day. I do work as a groomer for pets that are unable to got to salons, but I do this from home as well. So your pets will have round the clock love and care. You will need to provide any food and specific treats if your pet has a favorite or dietary restrictions/allergies. Pets are family. I will personally take them for walks throughout the day for fresh air and exercise, play with them and ensure they feel comfortable and lived while you are away. I do offer creating services, however, depending on the size of your dog, you may have to supply the crate. You pet will always be treated like family, but the details of their routine and activities will depend on your instructions. I respect that different lifestyles require different things (i.e crating vs free roam, scheduled feeding vs grazing, scheduled walks/potty breaks vs whenever they want to go out, etc.) and will maintain that sense of normalcy as much as possible. If you opt for grooming, and I am able to comfortably groom your dog, grooming will take place 1-2 days before your return. That way they have time to decompress after, and if they are stressed for parts, it gives leeway to do little bits over time.

About: I have 7 animals of my own, both dogs and cats. I also work part time as a Kennel Technician so I am very familiar with different animal personalities and how I’m expected to care for them! I walk for 3-4 houses around noon Monday- Friday as well as dog sitting overnights frequently. I am very flexible and will not have to spend long periods of time away from your pets. I work part time as a kennel tech and attend college. College is online so that won’t be a problem right now. My scheduled days can change but shifts are no longer than 6 hours at a time. I’m comfortable with senior care for sure but young puppies and extremely young kittens are outside of my comfort zone. I’m currently commuting to SU for this last semester and finishing off a major doesn’t allow for a lot of job opportunities that were available previously due to the amount of at-home work required. Pet sitting allows a lot more flexibility and brings the brain break of hanging out with fur babies to fit into the class work chaos. I currently have a cat of my own who stays with me as well as my childhood cat and dog who live with my parents. I’ve often pet sat for family and am comfortable with all ages except young puppies and very young kittens.

I’m familiar with ensuring the environment is right for your dog. I previously owned a dog with high anxiety and wasn’t friendly with strangers. I understand the importance of making sure your guidelines for your pet are followed. I can give oral medications, follow your training rules, walk large dogs, handle dogs that aren’t friendly with strangers, high anxiety, and have disabilities (ex. Deaf, blind). These dogs are our best friends so I promise to take great care of yours :) If you have any additional questions for me, please don’t hesitate to ask. I am happy to chat or meet prior to booking to ensure I am a good fit for your pup! I believe in open communication to ensure the safety of you, your pet, me and mine. I work fully remote and am able to support daycare and boarding. I usually walk my dog morning, mid day and evening for 30 min to an hour at a time. I’d like to be able to support other people who need assistance. During the week your dog won’t be left alone for more than an hour depending on drop off and pick up time. During the weekend your dog won’t be left longer than 3-4 hours depending. We can always communicate your dogs specific needs to accommodate! I have a fenced yard in our home and a friendly, playful 2 year old male lab (fixed). If your dog is in my home, they do need to be friendly with other dogs. During the week I do work full time so there are times where I am in meetings so it is preferred your dog is not destructive or is okay in a crate or enclosed room during meetings. I do make sure the dogs are exercised before and after. I communicate my anticipated work schedule and plan for the day with the pet owner.
