About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets primarily the most experience with dogs since I was 13 years old. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds from puppies to senior dogs. Additionally I’ve also fostered and cared for cats when friends and neighbors have been away on vacation. I’ve been lucky to also own two dogs of my own, most recently Puddles. I have 4 dogs of my own, 3 birds, and 2 hedgehogs so taking care of animals is something I enjoy doing. I recently adopted 2 hedgehogs and I hope to keep growing my animal family in the future. I don't have kids and my husband also assists with animal care when needed (the dogs are my kids let's be honest). When I am boarding dogs at my home, they are one of my family and do the same things my dogs are doing. Usually everyone is pretty happy to be lounging on the couch or following me around the house while I do my chores. I have a large fenced in yard that I prefer to use to exercise dogs and take them to potty. I am happy to walk dogs around the neighborhood if they need the extra exercise but I do require that the dog has a well fitting harness. Some dogs are master escape artists from their collars/harnesses (little houdinis), so if this is the case for your dog we will be playing inside my fenced in yard instead. My fence is about 6 feet tall so if your dog is capable of jumping higher than this please let me know when booking.
About: I have taken care of animals for over a year now at a dog daycare/boarding centre in a variety of different circumstances. From Mastiff’s to Chihuahuas, I am confident taking care of various different sized dogs with a variety of different dietary needs from raw diets to kibble diets, medical needs from dogs that get medication once a day to dogs that get medication several times a day, and activity needs from dogs that need regular exercise to senior dogs that don’t need to be exercised. I have also had experience handling dogs that are extremely nervous around new people, dogs that can resource guard toys, and dogs that are highly reactive. I am a full-time commuter college student with large gaps between my morning and afternoon classes which I can travel to and from the owners house to let their dogs out and play with during. The only time that I am unable to stop by the house between classes is on Thursdays where I will be gone from 8 am to 2 pm due to my in-person lab course. I only offer services at my clients house so as of not to subject the pet to unnecessary stress from being in a new environment. I can administer any medication that is not via injection, I can cater to a variety of diets ranging from raw meat every day to freshly cooked food three times a day to kibble twice a day depending on the dogs needs, I have personal leashes that I can use or I can use the owners leashes to take the dog on walks as often as request/needed.
About: I have been around dogs since I was born. Personally, my family adopted my first puppy when I was 10. I’ve been pet sitting for neighbors, family and friends since I was around 13. Now grown with my own pup, I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby while you aren’t able. I would love to be trusted to care for your babies when you aren’t available. I currently work from home Monday and Friday, so your pet would get just as much attention as mine. We are home most weekends, where your pup will get 2 walks and play time. I have a fenced yard and one playful, yet shy at first pup. Once she warms up, it’s constant playtime and an endless amount of toys and treats to share. When we leave the house, our dog is left uncrated but we have a crate if needed.

“When I picked up Jackson, I was not sure he wanted to leave his vacation with Kathryn and her wonderful family! Sure he was excited to see us, but, then he laid down next to Kathryn as if he was feeling pretty comfortable at her home! She sent photos and write ups daily and this made me feel so much better about leaving him in her care. It was like he knew the family forever! This was the first time we went away without him in 8 years so I was a bit anxious about leaving. I would have no problems leaving him again if I have another opportunity to do so. I highly recommend Kathryn and I know he was very happy being there and well cared for. He enjoyed his daily walks and never missed a meal and perhaps, Me!!!!
