I honestly don’t think Dodger realized he was being “boarded.” He thought he was on vacation with his new cousins, new uncles, and his new favorite person on earth (Dan 😆). From the minute we dropped him off, Jess was so reassuring and kind. She sent constant updates, pictures, and little stories that made my heart feel so much better. And not just “here’s your dog existing” pictures…NO. We’re talking: *Dodger cuddling her husband like they’ve been best buds for 10 years *Dodger snuggled up with her youngest like they were watching Saturday morning cartoons *Dodger and Tanner acting like long-lost brothers reunited *Dodger eating, relaxing, wagging his tail like a helicopter blade *Dodger getting a whole spa bath after rolling in the yard mud 😭💀 He even chewed through a Kong, which honestly deserves its own award. I warned her he was a super chewer, but I don’t think ANYONE was ready for him to destroy the “indestructible” toy. She just laughed and sent pictures like, “Welp, he’s having the time of his life.” 😂 The whole time she made sure I felt comfortable…even when my baby stole my phone and I panicked thinking I missed messages 😅 She was patient, flexible, and genuinely cared about him AND about us. Dodger came home happy, clean, tired, and FULL of love. His tail literally didn’t stop wagging the entire stay. And I’m pretty sure he thinks Jess’s house is his second home now…which I’m honestly fine with, because I know he’s safe and adored there. Jess and her whole family are wonderful, warm people. They treated Dodger like he belonged with them, and that’s all a dog mom could ever want. We will definitely be booking again (unless Dan steals him permanently 😂). Thank you, Jess, for loving our boy so well. He misses you all already! ❤️🐾 P.s thank you for being so accommodating and helpful with his bath, I loved getting to pick him up early and snuggle him with us the moment he came home🥹💕”

About: I'm 41 years old and have never been in a house without a dog for more then a year between dogs. I grow up help with the dogs and playing with dogs. Over the years I've lived with and help taken care or taken care of a Miniature Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, Yorkie and a Yorkie/Maltese mix. I love being around dogs I adore them all. Current have a 1 year month old Sheltie, who I adore. Spending time with mine is the best part of my days. Very few days of the month that I'm not available as I don't work, But do have appointments that I have to take care of several time a month. I have more experience with small and medium dogs.

“This was my first time using Rover. I know some of the vet techs at one place I go were sitters in the past. A few vets mentioned Rover as a possible option before & some other people I know... I came home to find my fur kitties happy & in great condition after a 10-11 day vacation. The house was exactly how I left it. Lauren even went above & beyond for items not expected. I was happy my cats didn’t have to go to a small daycare cage & could be out & about relaxed at home. Plus I didn’t have to worry about them picking up any issues at daycare from other animals, haul them all in their carriers back & forth or stress them out. I have multiple kitties and one with allergies who needed individual feeding attention. My one super shy cat had a tooth concern the night before we left & Lauren was even able to check him, which we were surprised because he lets few close enough. When Lauren came to the house for the first time my usual friendly fur babies came right up to her & were happy with her presence. I am currently working part time right now, so I have plenty of openings in my schedule to take care of all your pets needs. I have a nice size yard with neighbors on both sides who have fenced in yards so you Furr baby will have plenty of safe and secure room to explore, I also have a gated in kitchen area of my home and have a crate I can set up as well if requested, I also do allow pets on the furniture they are family after all!

About: Hi, my names Madi, I am a responsible adult with experience of taking care of dogs. I fostered pit bulls for almost three years, I previously dog sat for multiple families who relied on me for every trip they went on, and I once wanted to be a dog trainer so I learned a bit about dog behaviors and dog breeds. But above all else my love and passion for all the cute dogs in the world, I just want them all to feel loved. I can promise to take care of your fur baby, give them love and attention, and even send you some pictures for updates. Currently, I work from home Mondays & Wednesdays, then Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays I am gone for about 9 hours total for work and commute. Saturdays and Sundays vary a lot. If I am dog walking - I like to be sure I know any reactions the dogs may have to certain things (if they eat all the trash, if they chase squirrels, if they jump on people, if they bark at dogs, etc) to create safety for me and the dog. If they stay with me - they MUST be dog friendly and meet my dog in a non-territorial location to be sure they are friendly.
About: I’ve been around animals all my life, & I can’t wait until I’m in a situation when I can finally have my own dog again. I’m knowledgeable about pet care & animal behavior, have great attention to detail, & enjoy learning more. I love every critter I meet (although I am partial towards chihuahuas & pits) & I have yet to meet a dog that didn’t like me. My family always had dogs growing up, & I have experience caring for a variety of dogs of different ages. I’ve only had two pet dogs that went through their entire life cycle with me, & my most recent doggo was a shitzu who came to me when she was 11. I spent her last few years trying to make her as comfortable & happy as possible. That’s the goal for every animal I care for. While this is obviously a job, & I do need the money, I genuinely enjoy getting to be helpful, to make someone’s life easier, & to, of course, spend time with dogs. I figure if I have to have a side hustle, it should at least be rewarding!! Thanks for reading!! I am a waitress- I usually work full-time, but it’s the slow season & we have a server surplus at the moment. I’m currently only scheduled for 3 night shifts a week, so my schedule is pretty open. Even on the days I do work, I would be able to check-in & care for the dogs before I go in, & can check on them afterwards as well if needed. Basically, I currently have plenty of time to fit in pet care. I am comfortable staying at someone else’s place; it would be nice to have a change of scenery every once in a while. Of course, I will treat your house with respect & be sure to leave it as it was when I arrived! If they wanna chill & sleep, that’s fine with me, but if they’re really active & need to play, I will play fetch & tug-o-war for hours on end. I have a car & supplies to take care of a dog if it is needed (snacks, poop bags, leash, blankets, first aid kit). I’m familiar with dog breeds & behavior & am aware of different training techniques so I’m not worried about being able to manage any dog- like getting them in their crate at the end of the night, or establishing a relationship with them, etc. I will care for your pet the way you want, but above all I will always care for an animal with the utmost respect & love, 💕

I honestly don’t think Dodger realized he was being “boarded.” He thought he was on vacation with his new cousins, new uncles, and his new favorite person on earth (Dan 😆). From the minute we dropped him off, Jess was so reassuring and kind. She sent constant updates, pictures, and little stories that made my heart feel so much better. And not just “here’s your dog existing” pictures…NO. We’re talking: *Dodger cuddling her husband like they’ve been best buds for 10 years *Dodger snuggled up with her youngest like they were watching Saturday morning cartoons *Dodger and Tanner acting like long-lost brothers reunited *Dodger eating, relaxing, wagging his tail like a helicopter blade *Dodger getting a whole spa bath after rolling in the yard mud 😭💀 He even chewed through a Kong, which honestly deserves its own award. I warned her he was a super chewer, but I don’t think ANYONE was ready for him to destroy the “indestructible” toy. She just laughed and sent pictures like, “Welp, he’s having the time of his life.” 😂 The whole time she made sure I felt comfortable…even when my baby stole my phone and I panicked thinking I missed messages 😅 She was patient, flexible, and genuinely cared about him AND about us. Dodger came home happy, clean, tired, and FULL of love. His tail literally didn’t stop wagging the entire stay. And I’m pretty sure he thinks Jess’s house is his second home now…which I’m honestly fine with, because I know he’s safe and adored there. Jess and her whole family are wonderful, warm people. They treated Dodger like he belonged with them, and that’s all a dog mom could ever want. We will definitely be booking again (unless Dan steals him permanently 😂). Thank you, Jess, for loving our boy so well.
