I have two cats that I rescued from my local shelter, they were the most difficult to place because of prior abuse before coming to the shelter. I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I have experience taking care of my elderly cat, who was sick with kidney disease, so I know how to administer medicine, help them to eat, and be cognizant of behavior patterns. I volunteered at my local cat shelter for 3 years, where I cleaned the cages, fed them, played with them, and groomed them. On weekends, I’m fully available and can give your pet plenty of love, walks, and attention. If you have a specific schedule or needs, just let me know in advance, I’m happy to accommodate! I make sure they stick to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’ll come by as often as needed for walks, playtime, feeding, and any extra care your pet requires. I love spending time with them, whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, playtime with their favorite toy, or just giving them attention and cuddles. I always keep you updated with messages and pictures so you know your furry friend is happy and cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs for most of my life, and have done some dogsitting and dog walking before. I’ll admit it’s been a bit since I had to focus on school work for my psych degree, but now that I have to wait till fall for grad school, I figured now is the time to help out some furry friends! I’m an animal lover at heart and am not only interested in, but willing to help with any accommodations! Our pets deserve the best after all! :) I only have class on Monday afternoons, but sadly the rest of my schedule is pretty up in the air right now. I tend to be more of a night owl so I can help cats when they’re more active at night. I tend to work best with detailed instructions. I don’t want to disturb any routine and want the animal to feel as comfortable as possible.
About: I have had experience with all types of animals my entire life i grew up taking care of my dog widget since i was 7 me and my dog would go to pet training class as well. As my dog had gotten older me and my family had changed our routine and home life to accommodate to my best buds last days so he would be comfortable. I also grew up pet sitting for my aunt and still do.I have owned cats and dogs as well as some smaller rodents. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly schedule because i currently don’t have work and i am studying to become a tattoo artist my day consists of drawing and studying tattooing. i love to drive around so far drives to pet sit will not bother me what so ever!! I make sure to give your pets a stress free environment and give them cuddles depending on your animals personality!! I always make sure your friends are fed on time and taken on adventures with me on a walk and take them out to potty.

Our girls have always been watched at home and they’re a big pair of ladies to accommodate, so we were a bit apprehensive. At our meet and greet Heather was fantastic. Her experience shined through; she was easygoing and patiently answered all of our questions. We decided to have a “dress rehearsal” overnight and it was a hit! The girls had a great time, we received loads of pictures and updates and when I arrived for pickup our girls were both relaxing in the den. If our girls were at ease then we’re at ease.
