“Ellen was just wonderful and I know my dog was in good hands while we were gone. She got to run and play and hike on the farm and Ellen sent pictures and videos. Will absolutely use Ellen again to watch our Bella girl!”

“Renee was an amazing sitter!! My pup can be both a little shy and very energetic but she did a great job taking care of him. She was always friendly and prompt in her communication and I’d trust her with any dog!”

“Terri was the epitome of perfect. She was just what my pet Blossom needed. Attention, affection, love, she filled all of those things, and then some. She took many pictures kept us up-to-date, and eased my anxiety!!! I would use her again and again and again, top-notch for sure!!!”

“I left my baby girl for a week with John and they were the best. They really took a great care of my baby and gave constant updates with pictures and videos. They answered any questions I had. I could enjoy my vacation cause I could trust them with coco. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“Tina is the best!! Luna loves staying with her. It gives us such peace of mind when we are away to know that she's being well taken care of. She is actually very spoiled. 🙂 we will definitely be booking again the next time we need someone to watch Luna. Thank you for loving her!! 🥰”

“My pups are a handful, especially together. Puppy energy is unmatched with them. Rene did not complain and was super patient with them as I’m sure they were a handful for her. Went out of state for 2 days and when I picked them back up they were happy and healthy. Great job!”

“Emily was great and handled our 100 pound Doberman effortlessly. I never felt so comfortable going out of town. Our Doberman Zeus is cautious of new people and immediately loved Emily. She took him on long walks everyday and sent pictures. We will definitely be boarding him again with Emily.”

“Rachel and Jason took great care of our little Shi-Chi overnight. Pepper is usually such a creature of habit that we didn't know what to expect, but seeing the photos of her while we were away really put our minds at ease. Rachel even went the extra mile cuddling our little lap dog and seeing that her ponytail and bow were straight. Highly recommend!”

“Carmen and her husband were exceptional caretakers of our pup, are incredibly nice, and were very communicative and flexible. Since they have a fenced-in yard, it made for a great environment for our pup’s extended stay. I would 100% recommend them.”

“Zeus was very well cared for and enjoyed his stayed with Dorian and his family. The home was very clean with a large fenced in backyard. The best thing is that Zeus took right to Dorian. Will definitely book with Dorian again.”
“Samantha was great! I went on a 8 day trip and she made sure to give me daily updates about my dog and how he was doing and even gave him a toy he was always playing with. She was very accommodating and understanding when my flight got delayed and Chase had to stay an extra night. Chase loves going over there and will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much 😊”

About: I recently lost my 14-year old bulldog and I am looking to reconnect with dogs before committing to another long term companion. I have experience with senior dog care, to include dogs with cancer and dementia. I work full-time from home. During the day, I would be able to offer 2 15 -minute bathroom visits/walks during my breaks from work. I also have flexibility when other needs arise. In the evenings, I am free to give your dog as much love and attention as they desire. I only accept 1 dog at a time (unless multiple dogs are from the same owner and the dogs are pair bonded). I was single handedly responsible for my own dog for 11 years before she died of old age, so I know what it takes to compassionately care for a dog. I have also watched my friends’ dogs and my parent’s dog for weeks at a time. Taking care of dogs is not a new experience for me. I work from home and have complete control over the flexibility of my schedule. I can take breaks from my work to attend to your dogs needs 2 times per day during my 15-minute breaks. I am free evenings. I can also use my breaks to give walks/pet stop-ins if within close proximity to my house. I am willing to take care of dogs who prefer free play in a fenced in yard or those that prefer longer leash walks or park outings. I have no problem with free roam in the house or crating, whichever fits best with the dog’s regular routine. I have a big fenced in back yard and live in a neighborhood with sidewalks and a park 1 block away. I also have a good relationship with a local vet in case of emergencies.
“Karen was extremely nice, very welcoming of our pup Milo! she kept me updated with videos and pics which really showed how happy and safe Milo was! I really recommend her and will definitely keep booking with her in a future😊😊”

“Annette is the best! I actually hesitate to leave a review because I don't want all of her spaces to fill up! Your dog will be welcomed into the fold and Annette will ask you about - and then pay attention to - their needs. She has been fostering for so long, she has literally seen everything – and can deal with everything. Teddy had a great time, and I left with new insights into her behaviors. Annette is a gem.”

“I have booked with Sandra twice and honestly my pup loves going with her. She sends pictures and updates all day long which I love because it eases my mind. She’s very caring towards every dog that she boards. I highly recommend Sandra’s place.”

“Nat & Ally were amazing. We felt so comfortable leaving our baby June (an 80lb bernadoodle) with them. They sent pictures everyday that made us so happy to see how much love they were showing her. We will definately be repeat customers. Thank you so much Nat & Ally”

“Claire is a great and conscientious pet care-giver. She gave me regular updates and was always quick to respond if I had questions. I have already booked her for another visit.”

“Abby did a fantastic job taking care of our kitty Marbles and our apartment while we were away. She always sent us pictures of her visits and made sure that Marbles was given lots of attention and cuddle/play time. You can definitely tell that Abby is an animal lover and would take excellent care of any animal. We will definitely be using Abby again in the future for any sitting needs!”
“Our cat loves Milena. She always takes great care of him and allows lots of playtime. Her daily visit recaps show how much she understands his personality and her pics show how happy he is to see her. She makes leaving him home so much easier.”

“We had a great experience! She stopped by twice to let our dogs out while we were away and was reliable, communicative, and very caring with them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve pet sat for many cats over the years, along with having two cats of my own. I’m comfortable giving medications and cleaning litter boxes. My own cat is special needs so I’m not a stranger to getting creative in order to give medication.

About: I've been saving, fostering and rehoming stray kittens from 5 days old and up. Cat sitting for multiple friends and family. Have experience in behavioral correction, administration of medical care and medication. Natural methods to correct issues as well as modern medical treatments. And just recently adopted my newest furbaby I bottle fed and raised an abandoned neonatal kitten(5days old) and is now a happy, healthy, thriving 4 month old.

“Karen is awesome! The dogs responded really well to her. It was a hot day but she made sure they got enough outside time and gave them lots of pets and treats inside. She sent me updates and made sure everything was done just right before heading out. I'd definitely book with Karen again.”

“Rylyn took great care of Mimi. She even got her to come out of hiding. No one else besides me has been able to since Dec, 2023. Great accomplish. Rylyn jumped in to pick up extra visits - left earlier & delayed getting back on time. I will definitely use her again.”

“Justine was absolutely wonderful. My cat is very shy, and usually hides from Catsitters and other people she doesn’t know. She did not hide from Justine, which I see as a major good sign. Justine also made a game with my cat of hiding the treats I said to give her so my cat could find them, which helped keep my cat entertained. I would absolutely hire Justine to watch my cat again!”

About: I’ve dog sat for a few family friends and absolutely loved it! I love animals (especially dogs) and would be happy to care for your doggo. I currently work part time but I set my own hours! So evenings or early mornings could definitely work out for me. I also am a college student starting back up in the fall semester of 2025 but my schedule is very flexible. I don’t think I would be able to care for your pets in my current living situation but would be happy to come to you when needed! I love walking and I’d be thrilled to bring a friend along with me (your dog).

“Amanda is amazing! Remy loves her and I felt so reassured by her clear communication. She manages to be both professional and warm and caring. I hope to have many more visits from her going forward.”

“Kristen took great care of our cats while we traveled. She provided detailed daily updates and timely communication to let us know that the kitties are doing well. We returned to find our cats safe, happy, well-fed, and everything nice and tidy. Will definitely book with her again!”

“We were so lucky to have Ellen watch our dog, Ziva! She has separation anxiety, and we were nervous about leaving her with someone new in a new environment. Ellen was so reassuring from the start, promising to take good care of her. And she absolutely did. Her sweet dog, Cleopatra, was so friendly and helped Ziva feel comfortable right away. Our first impression was unforgettable- Ziva followed Ellen, which is rare for her with someone she doesn’t know. Ellen took extra care to comfort Ziva when she was anxious and sent us picture updates that really put our minds at ease. Because of Ellen, we were able to enjoy our event without constantly checking our phones. This was such a relief, especially since we’ve had a bad experience with a previous sitter who never sent updates. Ellen went above and beyond, and we could truly feel the difference in Ziva’s comfort. We will definitely be using her services again. Thank you, Ellen, for caring for Ziva like she was your own!”

“Sandra is so nice and she was such a great fit for Cooper and our family!! We appreciate her so much, she’s so kind. Everyday she sent us pictures of our lab having so much fun with other dogs and her chihuahua. We are definitely going to book her again!!!”
About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am available for early morning or evening walks and drop-ins during the week. I am available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless I have a family or social event. However, I am always open to working around my schedule and offering as much flexibility as I can - just shoot me a message! We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

“We are new with Renee, Kuro has been consistently going in for day care for the past 3 weeks and I must say he has a blast. He is happy to go there, gets to play with other pups. About: I have over 45 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages as well as many other types of animals that have honored me with living with me over the years (cats, horses, guinea pigs, gecko, Madagascar hissing cockroach, parrots, flying squirrel, rabbits). My original dream was to become a vet so I have a background interning with veterinarian, working multiple years in a grooming and boarding facility and had my own very successful animal care and sitting business as a teenager. I have great nail trimming skills as well! Animals are naturally drawn to me and sense my love and respect for them. I work remotely so am pretty flexible with schedules. I also have taken the pet CPR course! I work remotely from home so am flexible in what I can offer. I feed my own pets multiple times a day and am able to monitor what is consumed. I also live in a beautiful community near parks for nice walks. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs who live next door who are always interested in playdates if desired. I work remotely so have flexibility in what I can offer clients. I do have a crate on premises if you do not have although I prefer (as do pets) for them to have their familiar one! There are friendly cats who live with me although I would likely gate off my kitchen / sunroom area where my office is so that I can supervise and ensure harmony with unknown pet if in my home.

“Tux has always been anxious when left behind, but did very well with Emily all day. She was very attentive to his needs and he got along well with her other daycare pup. She sent numerous pictures and answered my texts right away when I checked in on him. She asked permission to take him on a short ride in her car, which I granted since he loves car rides and hates being left behind. I will definitely book with her again. Thanks, Emily, for taking such great care of our boy.”

“Rebecca's has been wonderful with our Baby Girl. I have never left Baby Girl with anyone due to her high level of separation anxiety but we are in Maryland for my husband's 50th High School Reunion so we didn't have a choice. I'm so glad that I chose Rebecca because she has been amazing. Baby Girl has had a good time at her house and went with Rebecca willingly Friday (her first day in doggy day care) which I knew Baby Girl sensed that Rebecca loved dogs and that she was safe with her sitter. Thank you Rebecca for putting us at ease and knowing that our fur baby is in good hands! I would highly recommend Rebecca and if the opportunity arises to book with Rebecca again we definitely will!”

“Jesse helped us out with a very last minute request to watch our dog for the day and we’re so glad we found her! Our dog had a great time at doggie day care with Jesse and her family. They provided her with lots of exercise and play, as well as lots of love. I showed up to one happy dog at the end of the day. Jesse is a good communicator and provided updates and pics from the day. We would recommend Jesse for any dog sitting needs!”

“Lejune provided soooo many pictures and updates, she made me feel like I was there every moment. Fiona haf a blast and was ready for bedtime by the time we came to pick her up. Great service and will definitely come back when I’m in the area again.”

About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure

“Danielle is amazing!! She has been walking my two pups on a regular basis for a few months. She is always on time and so communicative in how my pups did on their walk. I can tell Danielle cares for them like they are her own. I highly recommend her!”

About: Growing up, learning to take care of different kinds of animals was encouraged. From guinea pigs to horses, I have seen it all. Now living on my own, and having a dog and cat of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to take care of your animals. I have experience giving a wide variety of medication to both dogs and cats. I do my best to follow any schedule or instructions given by parents and to communicate as much as possible throughout the stay! I’m currently not working so I have plenty of time to care for your animals. I do have a dog and a cat of my own that I will need to stop to check in on during the day, but I do have someone who can stay with them during the night if you do need overnight sitting. I currently only offer pet sitting in the client’s home. I do my best to follow all rules and instructions given, I do prefer any specifics (feeding amounts, any medications, etc.) to be written down just so I can reference back if I need!
“Ava was absolutely fantastic! She was reliable, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. From the very beginning, she was communicative, punctual, and made me feel completely at ease knowing my dog was in such caring hands. She went above and beyond by making sure my dog got plenty of exercise and attention. I highly recommend Ava to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable dog walker. I'll definitely be using her services again. Thank you, Ava, for taking such wonderful care of my pup!”

About: I have a 12 year old goldendoodle named Taffy who I have raised since she was a puppy. I have walked dogs and house sat for friends and family since I was young and will always take the opportunity to spend time with animals of all kinds! I recently graduated from UMD and I am taking a summer class to finish up my double degree. Otherwise my schedule should be fairly open and I should have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I can follow any directions needed for caring for your fur babies. I can go for long walks to provide exercise, play (of course), cuddle, reinforce tricks/training, administer oral medicine, etc.. Just ask and I will probably be willing to accommodate any requests! I always make sure that your pet has access to fresh water and feed according to instructions.
About: First I just want it to be known that I am willing to work with clients on pay rates and negotiate to a rate that fits for both of us. The rates listed are not set in stone. I have cared for cats, small-large dogs in various breeds (Beagles, Pitbull's, Labs, Shelty's, and more) for several years now for close friends and family near the Frederick area. I also have experience with smaller animals like Guinea Pigs, Gerbils, Bunnies, Fish, Turtles, and Hermit Crabs. I myself have a 6 year old Beagle and have been taking care of her for the passed 5 years now. I am home from college for summer break and will be available most weeks days in the evenings and some weekends. Other than work and preparing for school events I will not have much on my plate, giving plenty of time to care for your pets. I care for my clients pets with upmost care and love while maintaining expectations of what the client needs or prefers for their pets. This may include taking your dogs for daily walks, playing with them, making sure they are fed, bathing them, cleaning up any potty accidents, and spending quality time with them to keep company while their owners are away. For cats this may include keeping their litter boxes clean, making sure they are fed of course, playing with them, and quality time as well. I rely on clients to give me information on their pets routines so the pets themselves aren't as confused with a new person taking care of them.
About: Having the background of being raised on a farm has given me an innate love for animals. I have become a go to person for my friends and family in the city with not only dogs, but farm animals as well (cows, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc.). I have experience with injured and ill animals as well in care taking. I am able to follow dietary restrictions and diets in general as well. Pets, cuddles and walks are no problem of course! :) I currently work from home (Thurmont, M-F 8-5) so I am very flexible with me being in home for either a whole work day, half day or drop ins (if close by). I cannot board in home. I am able to follow the direction of your pets care. Food schedules/diets, crating, walks etc. I keep every pets area clean and tidy so they feel as comfortable as possible. I simply ask for communication ahead of time in expecations.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats and currently have Berlioz, my 6-year-old tabby, and Chibi, my 6-month-old Husky. I love giving pets the time, attention, patience, and affection they deserve. As a nurse, being responsible and attentive comes naturally to me, and I’d love to give your furry family member the same loving care I give my own! 🐶🐱❤️ I'm currently working as a full-time nurse, but I only work 3 days a week which gives me plenty of time in the rest of the week to take care of your furry pets! We live in a single family home with an unfenced backyard but in a quiet neighborhood. There's plenty of lawn space and a 10x10 ft dog pen in our backyard.
About: My experience and extensive training sets me apart from other sitters. I know how to handle any situation that may arise. I’m responsible and will follow all instructions to the tee I am retired and available to care for your pets any time any day at your convenience. It will be just like you are there. I have a fenced in yard. And inside the house various gated rooms to separate. At your house I will follow all of your instructions and safety protocols
“Matthew was extremely flexible and patient managing the needs of our Siberian Husky, Bristol. He showed experience and good instincts managing Bristol's challenging behavior. We asked him to take Bristol for 30 minute walks each day and Matthew went above & beyond that request to make sure Bristol got sufficient exercise. We enjoyed our time away even more knowing Bristol was in good hands! 10/10 would recommend and use again!”

“We use Sarah exclusively now and Huck loves going to her house. This stay we had a medical emergency that prevented us from making drop off.
