About: My Work History: My 30 plus career was in Quality and Risk for financial institutions most recently ending a contractor position mid summer of 2023. About Me: I had the opportunity to take a career hiatus after ending a 15 year career to focus on family with the plan to return to work within the year. Then Covid hit. As a result I was fortunate to stay home longer than anticipated and care for our families new addition, our now five year old Bulldog, Boxer, Shepherd Mix. This made me realize the importance of her growth and safety as she flourished with consistency during human connection. I believe this alleviated her diagnosed anxiety and gave her a sense of not only security but happiness. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for connecting with pets and making sure they are not just cared for by feeding and walking, but to also make them feel safe with their caretaker. I believe animals should respect humans and at the same time humans should respect the loyalty, love and health of their pets. My entire life I have owned Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and two cats. Most proudly I have raised 5 kids who have had hamsters' and fish while 2 children left them in our care when spending half their time with their other parental unit. Over 4 years ago I hired a trainer for our family dog and have skills that can be put to use to help your dog if they are currently in training. I am familiar with crates and to identify when a dog may not feel safe, anxious and when they give a warning to people to back off if they are not in their best mood. I am familiar with the laws of Delaware for on leash and off leash. I am also happy to give your loyal pet its daily medication during the visit if needed. My years working in Quality, Risk, Mother and Animal owner makes me a great candidate for communicating in a way to effectively resolve any possible difference of opinion and believe that starts with listening and respecting the other person. If at any time you are not satisfied and need me to change a routine or approach I am happy to make those adjustments as long as we both feel comfortable with the outcome. My goal is for you to feel relaxed knowing that I am there to take care of your loyal family pet. Truth be told, having 5 kids that are successful, self-sufficient and polite makes me a great candidate to work with you and your family pet. I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability. I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.
“Yvonne and her husband granted me an amazing experience of boarding my dog (Freda). It all began with a last minute trip, which required me to board Freda within 48 hours. I sent Yvonne a request based on her location and availability for the days I required. This turned into a blessing. She replied almost immediately. She offered to host Freda as long as as our initial meeting between Freda and her own dog (Quincy) went well. When I first arrived Yvonne and her husband were so welcoming. We discussed our pets and introduced ourselves - it felt more than just business of boarding my dog. This experience was different. This experience was exceptional. They showed me around the area of their home where Freda would eat and sleep. They also showed me around their beautiful fenced in yard where she could run comfortably. They also stated they only host one pet at a time and never leave the dog unattended. This put a lot of my thoughts at ease. Throughout my trip Yvonne sent me pictures and provided me updates and once again worked well with my return schedule to pick up Freda. About: I have a consistent morning walk routine and welcome yours joining me. Our dogs are great hosts who respect our guests. I have fostered for years, from bottle babies to seniors, so have lots of experience with new dogs and short term visitors. I am primarily working from home and can keep your dog company. On days when I do have to go to the office, your dog will be alone (with our dogs) for only 4-6 hours. I know a tired dog is a good dog, so some exercise and playtime are built into our mornings and afternoons. We have two dogs - a 9 year old (DOB Jul 2017) 10 pounder and a 7 month old (DOB Dec 2025) golden retriever. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of safe space to run. We have several crates here if needed or preferred.

About: I own It takes a village animal rescue, though I am taking a 2 year break, I have had 451 dogs come through my rescue in the last 10 years. I can help with house training, and basic puppy skills. I have probably had about 100 plus puppies in the last 10 years. I grew up with Border Collies and have also adopted several dogs over the years, so I'm comfortable with everything from high-energy working breeds to laid-back companions. I work from home and call my own hours (as does my wife) so as long as we know your dog's routine we will make sure to incorporate it into our own. We have a fenced-in yard and a walking path near our home so walks are never a problem (we love walks). My wife and I both work from home so one of us will always be giving your dog attention/supervision. I’m happy to accommodate special routines or preferences! I’m a full-time nursing student with plenty of free time during the day, so I’m great for helping out while you’re at work. I know how important it is for pets to get attention and exercise in the middle of those long days. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, or just some company to keep your animals happy and relaxed on your busy days. I have empathy for those who having to leave their animals so safety is a top priority for me when pet sitting. I will always use a leash when on walks and at home if there is no fenced in yard available. Also would like to know if the pet has any special instructions and their likes/ dislikes.

About: When I was around 8 I started volunteering at a barn simply because I loved to be around animals. I was constantly walking my neighbors dogs and my own. I now work at a boarding facility where I take care of dogs and cats. “Yvonne and her husband granted me an amazing experience of boarding my dog (Freda). It all began with a last minute trip, which required me to board Freda within 48 hours. I sent Yvonne a request based on her location and availability for the days I required. This turned into a blessing. She replied almost immediately. She offered to host Freda as long as as our initial meeting between Freda and her own dog (Quincy) went well. When I first arrived Yvonne and her husband were so welcoming. We discussed our pets and introduced ourselves - it felt more than just business of boarding my dog. This experience was different. This experience was exceptional. They showed me around the area of their home where Freda would eat and sleep. They also showed me around their beautiful fenced in yard where she could run comfortably. They also stated they only host one pet at a time and never leave the dog unattended. This put a lot of my thoughts at ease. Throughout my trip Yvonne sent me pictures and provided me updates and once again worked well with my return schedule to pick up Freda. I will definitely be using Yvonne again if she’s available as she was a wonderful host to Freda and I. Thank you.”

About: I have taken care of dogs, my whole life whether they were my own or somebody else’s I absolutely love animals your animal will always be safe in my care and have the best time. I’m currently a stay at home mom so if I leave the house, I only leave to go to the grocery store or to grab the little one something to eat if they want it I have a huge backyard my house backs up against the woods. We are not close to the road at all. You’re dog would never be let outside alone my kids would run around in the backyard with them 💕
