The pictures Melissa sent as we were gone made me happy to see that he was getting spoiled and was having great naps and playtime. I would make drop-in visits and feed him and check if his litter box needed changing. My sister was impressed by my care for Dash that she hired me to take care of her cats. Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. About: My next door neighbor had me take care of their dog, Brownie. He was an old man, but still a good boy! I would make drop-in visits to make sure he was fed and given his medicine which he did such a good job with taking it around me, and I would also take him outside for bathroom breaks. Milo was another dog I took care of recently, and unlike Brownie, she was young, and also loud just like any other husky, but similar to Brownie, she was good girl. This time she had to live with me at my house, but she was no problem at all. I would take her outside at least two hours a day and give her walks around my neighborhood. I would also let her sleep on my bed and she'd wake me up by licking my face every morning to start the day. Feeding her wasn't a problem either. In fact, taking so much time out of my day to take care of just any other dog is never a problem for me! My recent pet care was for a Siberian Husky named Milo. After taking care of her cats, my sister asked me to take care of Milo for a friend who was away last December. Milo was a big dog, but she wasn't anything I had trouble handling. She was a fun and good girl, and I made sure she was taken outside every two hours of every day and also made sure she was given food and water and would refill both when I see that they're almost empty. Pet care comes first for me and I would take plenty of time out of my day to give pets the love and attention they need while family is away. I have a yard but it isn't fenced. However, I will be outside with your dog if they ever need to go, and keep an eye and/or leash on them if necessary. I did the same for my own dog, Macy. Unfortunately, my home doesn't have any other dogs that yours could socialize with since Macy passed away, but with me around, your baby should never feel alone! If I were to take care of your pet at your home (and if necessary), I could also tidy up the inside of your house to the point where I was never even there once you have come back from your trip.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 5 years through family, friends, and neighbors. I’m experienced with feeding routines, daily walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and providing plenty of love and attention while owners are away. I can comfortably administer oral medications, perform basic grooming like brushing and wiping paws, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and routine. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Currently I am working from home which will allow for me to be as flexible as needed to watch all of your furry friends whenever necessary! About: I’ve dog sat for many clients before not in the Rover app. I enjoy being able to take the animals on walks and playing with them! I’m very kind to animals and love meeting different breeds! I have a dog and 4 cats of my own, so I’m very much used to taking care of animals! Most of my cats are indoors but I do have a dog that I take on walks. I’m currently looking for a full time job to replace my current job. I am a senior in college but do it all online so I am very flexible. I always try to make a pet feel as comfortable as possible around me. I’m not an overly hyper person so I wouldn’t make them nervous in that way. I usually come in, sit down, and let them get used to me and make sure they’re okay to get around me.

“Leo had an amazing time with Melissa and her family. She had her dogs which kept him busy and happy as he loves to play with others and he got plenty of cuddles. We did a meet and greet with the pups a week before the boarding to ensure wveryone got along well and i could already tell leo was in great hands and Melissa even assured me there would always be someone there just in case. The pictures Melissa sent as we were gone made me happy to see that he was getting spoiled and was having great naps and playtime. She updated me daily and ensured Leo was fed exactly what was needed and we would definitely love to have Leo come "sleepover" again.”
