He clearly was settled in super quick with them. Also, we got some of the best action photos I’ve seen of him out back playing throughout the stay. Lego has some ear issues causing them to bleed in the winter some - they were very communicative and quickly bandaged him up and comforted him when it ended up happening during his stay. I’m not 100% sure he wanted to leave when it was time to go home. Would absolutely book again.”

Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. About: I had two dogs growing up (Snowball and Mocha) and in recent years, have dog sat for friends, friends, and for Rover clients. It's rewarding and super fun for me! I enjoy the long walks in my neighborhood (I live in an awesome neighborhood for that) and lots of cuddles/belly rubs with the dogs I am sitting! I work from home most of the week and have plenty of time during the day for neighborhood strolls/walks with my rover pups. I love going for walks to take a break so would take the dog out at least 3 or 4 times a day with me. My husband and I live in a 2 bedroom/2 floor condo with a balcony. The dog would have access to the first floor. We have hard wood floors, a ton of really great light and are on the 3rd floor. There are no elevators in this building. We have a ton of neighbors who have dogs, an elementary school near by with a nice track/green space, and lots of side walk space for walks.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets primarily the most experience with dogs since I was 13 years old. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds from puppies to senior dogs. “Our dog Reese had a great time with Mickey and his dogs. We love that Mickey has a training background and we didn't have to worry about Reese coming back with any bad behaviors. In fact, Mickey knows how to handle Reese better than we do. Another very important part to us is that Reese was hanging out with a loving family and not just kept in a crate. We will definitely board with Mickey again.”

“Jizelle was fantastic! This was our first time boarding Whitney using Rover (or ever for that matter) and Jizelle made everything so easy. From initial communication, to meeting her and her lovely pups at the meet and greet, all of our interactions with Jizelle confirmed that Whitney was in great hands while we were away. Jizelle was also very flexible with a last minute request to shift the drop off earlier than planned and provided us with regular photos and updates to let us know how things were going - she even braved foot high snow and ice to ensure that Whitney had adequate walks and fresh air following a once-in-a-decade snowmageddon! I 100% plan to utilize Jizelle's boarding services going forwards and would not hesitate to give her my strongest recommendation.”
“Alissa and her husband were AMAZING. My dog Lego has a ton of quirks and anxiety, which were easily handled. We received regular updates/photos of him having the best time with them. He clearly was settled in super quick with them. Also, we got some of the best action photos I’ve seen of him out back playing throughout the stay. Lego has some ear issues causing them to bleed in the winter some - they were very communicative and quickly bandaged him up and comforted him when it ended up happening during his stay. I’m not 100% sure he wanted to leave when it was time to go home. Would absolutely book again.”
“Scarlet is always so happy staying with Dan! She loves exploring his backyard, and hanging out with him or a daughter on the couch. Dan is also flexible and easy to work with when changes happen to your travel that you can't control. I always check with Dan first when I need boarding for my four-legged kid!”

I was nervous, as our dog was still recovering from surgery, but at the meet and greet, Stephanie made me feel very comfortable and was very accommodating to Sasha. “Found Melonie on Rover and first met her back in January for a meet and greet before a trip I had been planning. That trip ended up not happening, so this was actually our first time using her services. The original meet-up went so well. My dog Sky isn't very socialized and tends to be anxious around new people and places, so how quickly she took to Melonie was a great sign. This was also the first time we'd left Sky with anyone outside of family, so that mattered a lot to us. Since some time had passed, Melonie graciously offered to do another meet and greet before this booking. Sky warmed up to her right away again. This time I brought my daughter along, and she felt just as confident in Melonie as I did. We both knew Sky was in good hands. Melonie has such a calm, pleasant presence, and it clearly puts Sky at ease. She sent us daily updates with pictures throughout the stay, and Sky looked happy and relaxed in every one. We'll absolutely be booking with Melonie again in the future!”
