“BLUF: My dog came home happy and exhausted. I'd use Cameron again in a heartbeat! Drake (75-lb lab) had the time of his life over an extended weekend with Cameron. Cameron came to our rescue when our existing weekend plans fell through. Her dog Cherry, a Sheepadoodle, is his new BFF. Cameron had another dog staying with her as well, and the 3 of them made a very active pack. Based on his step count, he didn't stop running around the entire time! Cameron has a fenced back yard on a quiet street. Dogs are allowed on the furniture (my dog prefers to sleep on the couch, so this was important). Cherry is a wonderful host as well, and an absolute doll.”

About: I have always been an animal lover. I've had small,medium and extra large dogs! Growing up I was the kid that had rabbits, chickens, dogs and cats. I obtained my vet assistant certification to learn how to better care for my pets and have enjoyed spoiling them ever since! I'd love to help care for your fur babies. I have 2+ years of experience with taking care of bearded dragons and I’ve had a couple visits with snakes, specifically corn snakes. I work with any and all dogs/cats. Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. “BLUF: My dog came home happy and exhausted. I'd use Cameron again in a heartbeat! Drake (75-lb lab) had the time of his life over an extended weekend with Cameron. Cameron came to our rescue when our existing weekend plans fell through. Her dog Cherry, a Sheepadoodle, is his new BFF. Cameron had another dog staying with her as well, and the 3 of them made a very active pack. Based on his step count, he didn't stop running around the entire time! Cameron has a fenced back yard on a quiet street. Dogs are allowed on the furniture (my dog prefers to sleep on the couch, so this was important). Cherry is a wonderful host as well, and an absolute doll.”
