About: My family and I have boarded dogs for the last year. We done much house sitting for families, boarded dogs, and have done drop in visits over the holidays and summer vacation. Taking good care of our animals is what we do. It is a big responsibility and we offer the best service! With updating you daily about how your fur babies are doing as well as sending many pictures and videos of them! Right now my schedule is pretty free during the weekdays and weekends with being a college student on summer break! I will be able to provide much attention to our animals. We have a fenced in yard but we will no longer board dogs. House sitting and drop in visits are preferred for our services. With these visits, we make sure that the animals are fed, played with, and taken out. When we leave your home, we will make sure the house is locked and your animals are safe.

Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. They were very responsive from the beginning of the Rover process, and they continued throughout the four days I used their services. Rebeca greeted us every morning and afternoon with a smile. After the first day, Maple could not wait to get to Rebeca, literally jumping from my arms to her arms when we arrived at Rebeca/Roman’s home. About: I had two dogs growing up (Snowball and Mocha) and in recent years, have dog sat for friends, friends, and for Rover clients. It's rewarding and super fun for me! I enjoy the long walks in my neighborhood (I live in an awesome neighborhood for that) and lots of cuddles/belly rubs with the dogs I am sitting! I work from home most of the week and have plenty of time during the day for neighborhood strolls/walks with my rover pups. I love going for walks to take a break so would take the dog out at least 3 or 4 times a day with me. My husband and I live in a 2 bedroom/2 floor condo with a balcony. The dog would have access to the first floor. We have hard wood floors, a ton of really great light and are on the 3rd floor. There are no elevators in this building. We have a ton of neighbors who have dogs, an elementary school near by with a nice track/green space, and lots of side walk space for walks.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets primarily the most experience with dogs since I was 13 years old. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds from puppies to senior dogs. Additionally I’ve also fostered and cared for cats when friends and neighbors have been away on vacation. I’ve been lucky to also own two dogs of my own, most recently Puddles. About: My husband and I are blessed to have a totally fenced in home with over three acres. I decided to use this blessing to bless dogs to come and run and play. Dogs were meant to run and roam not be tied up. I so enjoy being outdoors and being around dogs. I have always had dogs even growing up with my family. My father had a heart for animals and I believe that is where my love has come from. I have three dogs of my own and each one has a very special spirit about them. My yard is fenced in for protected play time. While inside your pet will be allowed to be a part of household for special time and then I have a separate area where your pet will be allowed to have quite time and rest in a crate or in a area without a crate as needed.

I have 4 dogs of my own, 3 birds, and 2 hedgehogs so taking care of animals is something I enjoy doing. I recently adopted 2 hedgehogs and I hope to keep growing my animal family in the future. Usually everyone is pretty happy to be lounging on the couch or following me around the house while I do my chores. I have a large fenced in yard that I prefer to use to exercise dogs and take them to potty. I am happy to walk dogs around the neighborhood if they need the extra exercise but I do require that the dog has a well fitting harness. Some dogs are master escape artists from their collars/harnesses (little houdinis), so if this is the case for your dog we will be playing inside my fenced in yard instead. My fence is about 6 feet tall so if your dog is capable of jumping higher than this please let me know when booking.
