“Maya was fantastic. She took such good care of our 3 kitties for 2 weeks. She went out of her way to make sure they were ok during the snowstorm and cold. She gives them attention (plays, grooms etc), and ensures they eat, have fresh water, checks their wellbeing. (Also the litterboxes were well maintained - she even put the garbage out) We are impressed - her compassionate care and love for our furries shows through everything she did — in addition she looks after your house (all is clean, plants were checked, etc…)- (we had water issue she reported immediately and helped clear) . She communicates frequently and keeps you posted — in a nutshell if you look for someone for your pet — we would not hesitate to recommend Maya and certainly hope she is available for our next trip. About: I began seeking clients on Rover in the summer of 2025 as a way to make some more money for college and I love animals so I figured “why not!” - I found myself really bonding with every dog/cat I watched and cared for them as my own. I accept as many jobs as I possibly can because I understand the importance of having someone stay with your fur babies who knows how to care for them in all aspects. My 7 month old puppy died due to negligence from his pet sitter and got hit by a car. Due to that experience, I have shifted my focus to mainly Rover, hoping I can provide families with the comfort and assurance that I will care for their animals with the respect and love they all deserve. I have experience with all kinds of animals (even bunnies, horses, fish, and more!) I was a working student from the ages of 10-15 years old and have my own horse so big dogs don’t scare me. I know how to deal with skittish or aggressive dogs because I had to learn to groom my own goldendoodle as he got older and became unpredictable due to dementia. It is important for me to make sure the animals I look after feel heard, are never left alone for too long, and have fun during my time with them! Please feel free to reach out with any other questions!! I only have one other job exercising steeple chase horses in the early mornings so I have a lot of availability to make house visits or spend the day as much as you would need me to! I also love to go on walks and take hikes, so if I am looking after an Active dog it is no problem! If your dog likes to play with other dogs I have a fenced in yard and two other dogs of mine who are very friendly. I am very neat and organized so the chance of your animal eating something or getting into something they’re not supposed to is very slim.

I am a retired nurse practitioner and home most hours of each day. We live in a dog walking community and close to parks ideal for long walks. Loch Raven Reservoir is close to our home with many great trails. I have a fenced yard with a pool. I would not leave any dog alone in the yard, our neighborhood is great for walking. He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and have never gone a day without an animal in my home. I love connecting with animals, making them feel safe, and respecting their boundaries. I've also had multiple dog care professionals in my life, groomers and trainers, who have helped me understand the better the basics about dog care and general wellbeing. Ever since our precious Bulldog, "Raisin", passed away in 2017, I have been enjoying the company of fur babies of all sizes/breeds/ages with in-home overnight/daycare sitting, continued training routines, grooming and walking for neighbors, family, friends, referrals, and fostering services. I know the time will be right when it's time to add a permanent fur baby in our lives again... but I have LOVED giving piece of mind to friends and family alike when it comes to caring for their pets. I have taken on low-maintenance to some who may come with more challenges, and love on them all the same. I have undergone training in past for dog walking and behavioral issues which has helped me to appreciate different dog breeds and embrace their personalities and attributes. I'm currently working in-between jobs and typically work-from-home full time. Aside from any social/errands/appts., school, sporting, or work event, I am home all day/night. I do not have a fenced in yard, so regularly walking on leash either "quick" breaks out front or large backyard, or long/short walks around the neighborhood is the normal (this depends on the age, breed, routine of individual pup). I typically only watch 1-2 dogs at a time, but this depends a lot on comfort of YOU and also hugely decided based on breed and learning their temperaments to see how well they will be accepting of additional shared furry companionship, or not ;-)

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 2. I have looked after dogs, cats, and guinea pigs of various ages since 12. I love caring for pets and have a dog of my own! I also volunteer at animal shelters when I have the chance. I’m working part time so I will have plenty of time to play with your pet! During summer I will especially have loads of availability. I have a crate trained dog who is very friendly and can keep your pet company. I have a spacious apartment but am flexible to take care of your pet wherever!
