About: Hi Loving Furparents, My lifelong passion is interspecies communication, animal care & behavior, ecology, and environmental conservation. I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. I have experience learning life lessons our senior friends teach us; to slow down, smell the wildflowers, enjoy the little things in life, lead with empathy, lend a helping hand to one another, and be grateful for the moment we have together. I have experience with caretaking during mobility issues for both animals, using help-em-up harnesses and wheelchairs. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

Sunday I go to church it’s only estimated 2 hours long they will be crated while I’m away. I own a Yorkie, and I have chickens in my backyard. I don’t have a fence so you will need a lease so I can walk them.

I have a 9 yr old female Great Dane who is real sweet & fully trained to my commands. She stays in a playpen in the AC, tiled sunroom with your pup. Growing up, I lived across the street from my great aunt who bred and showed Great Danes. From a young age I remember sitting and watching out the front window for my aunt to come home so I could call her and ask if I could come help her with her Danes. When I was 10 years old, I started my own dog walking/pet sitting business and I have helped numerous families out with their pets while they were out on vacation or just needed help getting their pets outside for some exercise. About: I was a professional pet photographer for many years, and I have worked at a luxury pet resort. I started accepting Rover bookings in June of 2025. I will be with your dogs during the day as well as overnight, but I will need to be able to leave during the day to meet ongoing commitments. I will travel out of my area (Deep Creek, Alpine Lake) for an additional fee. I will stay with your pets in your home, where they are most comfortable. If they are used to cuddling on the couch with you while you watch television, I will do that. If they are used to being outside a lot, I will take them out (weather permitting of course).

About: As long as I can remember growing up we always had animals mostly dogs. As I got older I have always been the one my friends and family come to when they need someone to care for their pets. I would pet sit, take them on walks , stay with them and play with them. I am a true dog lover through and through. I have had dogs my whole life . My son has 5 dogs and pretty much everyone I know is a pet lover so no matter where I go I’m around animals. I watch dogs for friends and my son often. About: Hi Loving Furparents, My lifelong passion is interspecies communication, animal care & behavior, ecology, and environmental conservation. I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. I have experience learning life lessons our senior friends teach us; to slow down, smell the wildflowers, enjoy the little things in life, lead with empathy, lend a helping hand to one another, and be grateful for the moment we have together. I have experience with caretaking during mobility issues for both animals, using help-em-up harnesses and wheelchairs. Additionally, I have awareness and understanding of training needs when the human is afflicted with chronic illness and mobility impairments, such as helping the animal to learn and be mindful of unsteadiness, fall prevention, etc. My current SDiT and I are working on counterbalance, DPT, crowd guarding, behavior interruptions, and some preliminary scent work. Additional Background of Experience; I grew up in the area with a variety of species throughout the years, from cats & dogs to horses, rodents, fish, chickens & guinea fowl to turtles, etc. This experience came with interspecies management, learning to hand-rear animals, helping animals learn core life skills, assess and rehab injury, hospice care, etc. Later, I completed a multidisciplinary degree from WVU with concentrations in Wildlife Management and Conservation Ecology. At WVU, I completed curriculum including a Service Dog Training course where the dog I worked with (Gretel) graduated the following year to become a certified therapy dog at Chestnut Ridge. Additional courses included Animal Behavior, Equine Hoof and Limb, Equine Assisted Therapy, and Exotic Animal Medicine, among others. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

About: Hello, I enjoy animals of all kinds, I’m a country gal from West Virginia. Your pet will be safe with me if you need a sitter please don’t hesitate to text me. I work part time I have time to take care of your beloved pet friend. Occasionally I work on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday I go to church it’s only estimated 2 hours long they will be crated while I’m away. I own a Yorkie, and I have chickens in my backyard. I don’t have a fence so you will need a lease so I can walk them.

About: I have always had a big heart for pets. This includes cats and dogs. I enjoy being around them, feeding them, and cleaning after them. I work full time for a nonprofit, but have flexibility. I’m mostly available on Fridays-Mondays. I currently care for doggies and cats in my own home. My doggy is on a feeding schedule and get regular walks. He enjoys playing tug-a-war with me and enjoys having me the one to fetch his toys. I easily get along with animals and enjoy playing and exercising them.

About: New to Rover, but not new to dog sitting :) I have several years of experience taking care of dogs, of all ages & breeds! I moved from Maine to WV and now have the time to be a dog sitter again! My overall love for animals and the ability to connect with them, makes me a safe and reliable sitter for your pup :) We have two open acres of grass for your dog to run around and play and a large tile floor sun room (with AC) for them to stay. My Great Dane stays in the sunroom in a playpen when she isn’t playing with chipmunks outside! If you prefer your dog to be on leash when outside-no problem! I can accommodate to your dogs’ needs! I have a 9 yr old female Great Dane who is real sweet & fully trained to my commands. She stays in a playpen in the AC, tiled sunroom with your pup. Your pup will have the one-on-one care that he/she needs while you are away. Fresh water will always be present :) My main goal is to keep every dog I care for safe & happy!

About: I’ve been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. From taking care of my own pets to helping others out with their pets, I love providing the pet care an owner needs help with and a pet needs. Growing up, I lived across the street from my great aunt who bred and showed Great Danes. From a young age I remember sitting and watching out the front window for my aunt to come home so I could call her and ask if I could come help her with her Danes. When I was 10 years old, I started my own dog walking/pet sitting business and I have helped numerous families out with their pets while they were out on vacation or just needed help getting their pets outside for some exercise. After college, I worked at a local pet store and have gotten a lot of experience with dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, and birds. I also have helped care for horses over the years. I love hanging out with animals and spoiling them like I do with my own pets. I am comfortable taking care of multiple pets and fur babies of all sizes. I have a very flexible schedule. I am available for full time or part time work. I am currently a stay at home mom, so my availability is fairly free, but it varies from week to week. I am pretty flexible and willing to work with your schedule. I let my pets out multiple times a day and take them on walks. I love to take my pets out on hikes as well.

About: My name is Misty and I would love to help you care for your pets. I live in Maysville and will travel to surrounding areas. I grew up in a family that bred and trained Golden Retrievers and Chocolate Labrador Retrievers to duck hunt. I have also leash-broken hounds, German Shepherds, and Siberian Huskies. The leashes I use are gentle-leaders. I do not use any other form of leashes as I use the pack leader training method. I reward pets with positive reinforcement and do not punish animals. I’m a disabled veteran so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. I love spending time with dogs and cats. I do crate training at my home and I have a 1 acre yard with a creek.
