About: I have always grown up surrounded by dogs of all breeds and cats as well! Personally, my family always had golden retrievers (okay, I have a soft spot). Over the years, I have always watched neighbors or family pets, including my own. I’ve helped manage any illnesses that may have come along with any dog or cat needing medications or special therapy! I have a LOT of experience with puppies and the training/ time that goes into that development as well. I also am active, so spending time and keeping the dogs and cats I watched busy and playful is super important to me. Overall, treating the pets around me like family has always been second nature to me and I hope to bring that quality to you! I will be starting a new sales role 9-5 in downtown Annapolis! With that said, my availability April 1st will move to mornings and evenings - drop ins/ walks. The remainder of March is free for all times of day! I volunteered at Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne's County for several years starting in High School. I've worked closely with large animals with behavioral problems, so I'm down the handle whatever quirks your pet has. I can give oral medications, follow your training rules, walk large dogs, handle dogs that aren’t friendly with strangers, high anxiety, and have disabilities (ex. Deaf, blind). I am happy to chat or meet prior to booking to ensure I am a good fit for your pup! I believe in open communication to ensure the safety of you, your pet, me and mine. I work fully remote and am able to support daycare and boarding. I usually walk my dog morning, mid day and evening for 30 min to an hour at a time. I’d like to be able to support other people who need assistance. During the week your dog won’t be left alone for more than an hour depending on drop off and pick up time. During the weekend your dog won’t be left longer than 3-4 hours depending. We can always communicate your dogs specific needs to accommodate! I have a fenced yard in our home and a friendly, playful 2 year old male lab (fixed). If your dog is in my home, they do need to be friendly with other dogs. This is to ensure the safety of my dog and if I am boarding or hosting daycare for another dog. During the week I do work full time so there are times where I am in meetings so it is preferred your dog is not destructive, okay without supervision, or is okay in a crate or enclosed room. I live on a farm with my 2 horses, 2 barn cats, and 3 dogs - Sawyer, a 9 year old Siberian husky, Teagan, a 5 year old Australian Shepherd/Basenji mix, and Dozer, a 2 year old pittie. About: I’ve had animals growing up all of my life including goats, horses and dogs from small to large. I’ve had a lifetime of experience caring for pets - whether they be my own or someone else’s. When I moved out and got my first pet two years ago, I discovered the struggle of balancing real life and responsibilities as a pet parent. When I made the move to Annapolis, I saw many others working through the same struggle - to balance life and pets. That’s where I want to help! Don’t worry, you’ve got this, and I can’t wait to meet your pet! I currently work part-time on a flexible schedule, so I am able to go home quite a bit throughout the day to check on pets. I am available to give two mile or longer walks a day, and at least one mid-day bathroom break. I do have my own dog, Rose, and she lives in the apartment as well, so any dogs need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated- just like she is. Your pet will have their own separate bedroom from Rose, that provides a calm, safe space for them during the day (and also gives any non dog-savvy cats a space alone). This bedroom will house their kennel, bed, food and water bowls, and anything else you’d like them to have. My apartment complex is very animal friendly and has a dog park right on sight for your furry friend to get off leash time. There are multiple side walks and small trails throughout my apartment community where I am free to walk dogs that stay with me. If I am commuting to your home, your dog will be guaranteed two long walks a day at feeding times and one mid-day bathroom break (more if needed). I can provide baths in my apartment or your home, and grooming if necessary.

“This was our first time using Rover so we were nervous about leaving our fur baby with a Stanger in their home. Well Mady met and exceeded our expectations! We have a 96 pound Rottweiler and Mady loved on her and she enjoyed spending time with their dog Radar! She has a clean and spacious fenced in back yard and also took Stormy on nice walks! There were also toys there to keep Stormy occupied and happy. Mady followed our instructions exactly as it relates to her care. She sent pictures and videos which kept us from worrying! We highly recommend Mady, it’s clear this is not just a business for Mady, she truly has a love for dogs!”
