Our sweet and playful pup, Abbi, gets anxious in new environments, while our 13-year-old, Hank, is mostly sweet and playful but can also be a bit reactive when startled, especially by fast movements or unfamiliar people. Brian was incredible with both of them. Hank warmed up to him almost immediately (something that rarely happens) and seeing him snuggling his head into Brian's hand during one of the daily video updates was a highlight for us. Brian’s calm, confident presence clearly helped both of our dogs feel safe and happy. They had plenty of space to explore, lots of outdoor playtime, and were cared for with patience and attentiveness. In addition to putting our dogs at ease, he also managed to put my husband-who tends to be quite anxious about leaving them-at ease, as well. About: I've had pets all my life cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, Bunnies, and taken car of horses. I love animals and am not afraid of their messes. During the summer I have plenty of time to take care of pets though during the school year certain times of day I won't be available due to classes. I've learned to come at pets with the caution they need. I'm very friendly and always want to be sweet to pets but I can be tough if the situation calls for it to not let animals walk all over me. I love animals and like taking the time for their needs.

“Brian was super generous to accept us last minute. All interactions were positive. Brian was out on training but offered his spouse Erika (also here on Rover) to look after our dog Stella. Erika was amazing! She met us when we pulled up and greeted us. She is warm, kind and welcoming. Brian and Erika’s property is incredible. They have fenced in areas for runs and agility. Stella had the time of her life and I would return without hesitation. My only regret is we don’t live closer so we can come back my often. It was a great experience.”
About: I have a female Siberian Husky named Onyx who I raised and trained from a puppy. I grew up and had been around dogs small to very large. My family had a German Shepherd/Malmute mix and a Pomeranian that I would watch during their vacation trips. I can take your dog on walks with mine to the park, stop in to feed and let your dog out, or watch your dog for the day. My dog is very friendly and has grown up around other dogs of all energy levels. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is more flexible to align to you and your pets needs. I’m new to this service so it will be a learning experience at first, but I want to provide a safe and fun experience for your pet! I have a small apartment that your dog is more than welcome to spend the day in with me and my dog. I can also drop by at multiple times during the day, depending on the location. If you prefer to have your dog stay at your house, I won’t be able to spend the entire day there, but will gladly take them on a short/long walk (depending on preference), feed them and refill water.

My cat stayed downstairs and my dog stayed upstairs with us. They didn't get along too well so we kept them separate. My cat didn't mind other cats at all, she was almost 16 years old. My dog didn't like other dogs too much, she was around them when she was younger but she liked her space the older she got. She was 11 years old. I'm currently unemployed due to my job being closed by the owner. I'll always try to work around my schedule and yours to make sure your furry baby gets what they need! I would prefer to care for your animal in your home, I know new places and spaces could make some animals nervous. My cats are still very young and I'm not sure how they would react to another animal in my home. So this is just my preference to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. I would follow every instruction that is given and never do less. I want to make every animal comfortable and feel safe around me, no matter what. I pride myself on loving animals just like they're our own kids.
