Personalized care for your dog or cat - Cecilton

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Cecilton

“We were looking for someone to care for our Luna who would treat her like one of their own and keep her safe while we were away on vacation, and we found that person in Brittany. Her love for animals of all kinds and sizes is obvious and we are so grateful to have found a place like Safe Hayven Fields. The property is a perfect getaway with a large fenced in yard for running and playing, and the pool for pups that like to swim. Brittany is such a great caretaker, sending us daily photos and updates, even going above and beyond to replace Luna's bed when another pup made a hole in hers! We will be back and look forward to having Luna spend more time on the farm 💜”

“Barbra is a wonderful pet sitter. She's always kind and understanding, always happy to accommodate our schedule and takes excellent care of Charlie! He needs a bit of reassurance and she makes him feel loved and safe when we're away!”

We’ll absolutely book with them again!”

Thank you, Rackeem!”

About: My Work History: My 30 plus career was in Quality and Risk for financial institutions most recently ending a contractor position mid summer of 2023. About Me: I had the opportunity to take a career hiatus after ending a 15 year career to focus on family with the plan to return to work within the year. Then Covid hit. As a result I was fortunate to stay home longer than anticipated and care for our families new addition, our now five year old Bulldog, Boxer, Shepherd Mix. This made me realize the importance of her growth and safety as she flourished with consistency during human connection. I believe this alleviated her diagnosed anxiety and gave her a sense of not only security but happiness. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for connecting with pets and making sure they are not just cared for by feeding and walking, but to also make them feel safe with their caretaker. I believe animals should respect humans and at the same time humans should respect the loyalty, love and health of their pets. My entire life I have owned Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and two cats. Most proudly I have raised 5 kids who have had hamsters' and fish while 2 children left them in our care when spending half their time with their other parental unit. Over 4 years ago I hired a trainer for our family dog and have skills that can be put to use to help your dog if they are currently in training. I am familiar with crates and to identify when a dog may not feel safe, anxious and when they give a warning to people to back off if they are not in their best mood. I am familiar with the laws of Delaware for on leash and off leash. I am also happy to give your loyal pet its daily medication during the visit if needed. My years working in Quality, Risk, Mother and Animal owner makes me a great candidate for communicating in a way to effectively resolve any possible difference of opinion and believe that starts with listening and respecting the other person. If at any time you are not satisfied and need me to change a routine or approach I am happy to make those adjustments as long as we both feel comfortable with the outcome. My goal is for you to feel relaxed knowing that I am there to take care of your loyal family pet. Truth be told, having 5 kids that are successful, self-sufficient and polite makes me a great candidate to work with you and your family pet. I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability. I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.

“Shereen was fabulous with Daisy. Her fur babies are adorable and Daisy loved having playmates despite her being so much larger than them. Shereen is a true pet lover and her home and caring nature reflects that. I plan to use her services again for Daisy.”

“Yvonne is so very sweet with our puppy. She made me feel very comfortable throughout our time away and sent many updates with pictures. It was wonderful to share with my kiddos throughout our vacation. The updates and photos gave us all great peace of mind that our girl was being well taken care of.”

“This is our second dog we’ve left with Pearl. She is a capable dog owner and sitter and easily manages the dogs in her care. Her home is dog friendly and our anxious dog settled down quickly with Pearl.”

“Jen was wonderful! She did a fabulous job taking care of Tia. Jen sent us multiple photos and video that made us feel very comfortable. Tia had a great time and we would definitely use Jen in the future.”

Pet care has been a way of life for me for the last 13 years, I own an animal rescue but am taking a 2 year hiatus, but miss having dogs around all day. I have a fenced in yard with lots of room to roam. I also have Mr Donovan, 110 pound hound mix that lost his 2 playmates in the last 2 months, so he would love having another friend to hang/ play with.

“Mutig was so happy when we picked him up! I have been nervous about where to leave him during a vacation we have coming up, but I was put at ease after this stay. She sent so many happy pictures of Mutig and Quincy playing and sent me updates of how he was doing. Yvonne and her husband were very caring. About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since my high school days. I love caring for and building relationships with dogs because they are truly like your best friend when they get to know and love you. Currently I work from home and for the most part make my own schedule every day. I am looking to build loving relationships with every pet that I care for so every owner can confidently put their trust in me to bring their furry friends back to me anytime they need me to take care of them. Me and my husband love dogs! We have a doggy park inside of our residence as well as a lovely community of people who walk their dogs everyday I’m sure your pet will meet some friends as we go out for walks and play at the park. Please let me know if you have any special food or any other request that you need me to accommodate to ensure that your furry baby is okay so I can be prepared as much as I can to welcome them into our home. I make my own schedule every day so i am pretty much free Monday through Sunday each week. I will make sure I update the time slots that are booked as clients start scheduling their appointments. All small and medium-sized dogs will be more than welcomed to roam freely around my living room kitchen area and are allowed to sit and lay on the couches as well. The floors are hardwood so even if they have an accident of pooping or peeing on the floor it will be alot easier for me to clean up on the hard floors than the carpeted areas. They will be allowed to come into my bedroom or any other room as long as I am in the room supervising them. I will take them outside to potty every 2 hours timed from the time they arrive until their scheduled time of leaving. You can feel free to bring their favorite toys they love to play with but I will also be purchasing brand new toys that I'm sure your dogs/cats will love to play with.

I currently work as a Para professional in Dover, a Private Personal Trainer in the tri-state area, and a server in Middletown, I have my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and am currently enrolled at my local university to get my Masters degree in Counseling. I own 3 dogs and 1 cat that I love very much! I’ve raised dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles my entire life and have experienced all different types of care. My dogs are Pitbull mixes and an American Bully who love to have fun just like me. Being safe, outside, and active are things I take pride in because builds a bond and a good time. I love meeting new people and pets, so I’m excited to help take care of your FURever friends:) I do work part-time and go to school online but always have time for furry friends. I’m able to provide care at minimum every 6-8 hours days I work. During our meet and greet I like to get as much info about your pets daily routine. My philosophy is “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” so I like to be as consistent as possible.

About: I have always had pets. As a toddler my dog and I would explore the woods together. I have had pet birds, fish, hamsters, turtles, spiders, frogs, lizards, rabbits, horses, turkeys, chickens, cats and dogs. I also have experience caring for cows and sheep. I started doing pet care professionally as a teen. I eventually started training dogs as well. I did that until I moved for college. Now, I started providing those services in my home. Having dogs stay with me gives me the opportunity to provide 24/7 care and training. I trained my last dog to be a hearing dog. She always alerted me to the door and phone, so I incorporated those natural likes and abilities into her training. I'm currently preparing my new dog for search and recue training based upon his love of playing hide and seek. All dogs have their own natural abilities and like different things. I have used clicker training in the past. I usually use reward based training. I occasionally seperate dogs, so they might not play together unless they are from the same household. I have rooms set up as individual dog suites. I have lots of cozy blankets and toys for dogs to feel comfortable. Dogs will still roam and play throughout the house. Dogs will get lots of individual attention. Dogs usually make friends and enjoy playing together. There are lots of toys beds and blankets for them to get cozy and have fun. I have a large unfenced yard (will be fully fenced in October. Currently only one side is fenced.) that backs to woods with a creek and a park. Dogs will be leashed outside. I can take more than one dog and for extended stays. Dogs should bring their own food and potty training pads if they use them. I send lots of pictures of your dogs during their stay. I can send videos and have done live chat videos, so you can see and talk to your dog. Dogs will be taken outside regularly. Dogs will go outside in all weather at least 2 times during the day. Dogs also will have ample play time indoors with running, chasing, fetching or jumping. Dogs can play ball or nap. I take dogs running at the park. Each dog will be cared for according to his personality. Dogs get alot of individual attention. I make sure dogs are comfortable throughout the day and i play with them and incorporate them into my day as much as possible. My 2.5 year old son and husband also play with the dogs. They help train, feed and care for dogs too. They also run with dogs and take them to the park or dog park. Dogs may go to the store with us or on errands or on an outing. Dogs may sleep in our bed with us. Dogs may join in for Disney songs and dancing. Dogs may make new friends and bond. I only care for a few dogs at any given time. I can care for dogs weekly and monthly. I can cater to dogs special or individual needs. Drop off pick up is between 6am to 7am or 7pm to 8pm weekdays and anytime weekends. More About Me: I started pet care professionally more than 20 years ago, when i was studying nursing. I was in college and nursing school full time, working at a healthcare facility full time, doing home care and pet care. I received both of my undergraduate degrees in legal studies. I started 2 master's degree programs one in law and one in business. I plan to continue doctorate studies in psychology. My main interest is behavior. My other interests are sociology and anthropology. I also write. I love dog care. It's fun! Even when the work is hard, it's rewarding. I'm glad i decided to focus on dog care again. My days are much better with dogs in my life. More About My Family: My son has benefited from having dogs in his life and it has afforded him an early opportunity to begin working with animals. My son is an animal lover. He especially loves dogs. He's a good trainer and pet care provider. He has a deep concern for dog's feelings and goes out of his way to see them happy. He likes taking care of animals, especially dogs. He's interested in going to school, so he can learn more about taking care of animals. My husband loves dogs. He grew up with dogs and cared for additional dogs. He has a relaxed natural approach and does not use training as much as treats play and petting.
About: Hey, pet parents! I’m a proud Animal Science student at Penn State with years of experience caring for all creatures great and small including dogs, cats, horses, goats, and more! With 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own, I totally get how much love our pets bring into our lives. Whether your pup needs a walk or your cat needs cuddles, I bring knowledge, reliability, and lots of tail wags. I treat every animal like family because that’s exactly what they are! As a dedicated pet owner and Animal Science student, pet care is already a major part of my daily routine! I care for my own 2 dogs and 3 cats every day, which includes feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and managing any health or behavioral needs. I naturally structure my schedule around animal care, and it’s something I truly enjoy and prioritize. Whether it’s early morning feedings, mid-day walks, or evening cuddle sessions, caring for animals is second nature to me and I’m always happy to make space in my week to care for others’ pets with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in my own home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment that matches each animal’s personality and routine. In client homes, I always follow their care instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. I keep pets on their normal routines to reduce stress and make them feel comfortable while their owners are away. For cats, I make sure litter boxes are clean, water is fresh, and they have a mix of playtime and quiet time, depending on their temperament. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection along with structured potty breaks and walks. I’m also experienced with senior pets and those needing medication or extra TLC. Whether I’m staying overnight, dropping in for visits, or out for a walk, I care for every pet like they’re my own attentively, gently, and with lots of love and respect!

“Kari, Joseph, and their kids were phenomenal with our last-minute booking of our boxer, Peanut! Their home is beautiful and spacious in a lovely neighborhood. They’re communicative, provided a crate (which made our lives so much easier). They were flexible when we were a few minutes late to pickup and were totally understanding. We’ll absolutely book with them again!”
