“We were traveling and planned a last minute stop in DC and Mount Vernon. Cameron was able to watch our Luna for 2 nights while we got to enjoy the city and not worry about Luna and the heat. Plus, Luna had other 4 legged friends to hang with. Would definitely recommend and thank you for taking great care of Luna.”

“LaTasha provided such great care to Deuce. The videos and pictures sent each day helped me in knowing that he was having fun and in a safe place. I will absolutely use her services again.”

“Mickey and his family are awesome! They treat my my fur baby as if she was theirs. Love getting pictures and videos during her visits. The kennel will now only be used as my “back up” place. Highly recommend!”
About: For us, pet care isn't a hobby—it’s a lifestyle. We've been inseparable from animals since childhood, spending both our formative years training and exploring with our own trusted companions. That childhood passion evolved into a lifelong commitment; today, my husband (Micah) and I are known by friends and family as the "pet whisperers." We have a natural instinct for animal body language and an innate ability to make even the most nervous pups feel right at home. Why Choose Our Home? When your dog stays with us, they aren't just being watched—they are joining our family. We offer: Lifelong Expertise: Decades of experience handling various breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. Training-Focused Play: I’ve carried my love for training into adulthood, meaning I’m happy to reinforce your house rules or practice basic commands during our play sessions. The Power of Two: With both my husband and me dedicated to your pet’s care, there is always a lap available for cuddles and an extra set of eyes on the yard. One of the best parts of staying with us is the built-in social life! We are proud parents to three well-socialized dogs who truly love making new friends. Because our three have such distinct personalities, we’ve found that almost any visiting guest finds a "soulmate" in our pack. There's the gentle soul (Dom), the endless playmaker (Milo) and the sweet social butterfly (Izzy). We’ve seen it time and time again—no matter the temperament, at least one (and usually all three!) of our dogs will inevitably click with your fur baby. They provide great company during the morning hours, ensuring your pet feels like a member of the family from the moment they walk through the door. Whether your dog is a high-energy explorer or a senior who just wants to sniff the country air, we provide a structured, loving environment where they can thrive while you're away. Your dog will never feel alone here! In the early morning hours, they’ll have our three social pups to keep them company and burn off energy. From lunchtime onwards, Micah works from home, meaning there is a human on-site for the majority of the day to oversee potty breaks, backyard explorations, and afternoon naps. We’ve found this routine works wonders for dogs who love having a pack to hang out with while still getting plenty of one-on-one human attention. We’ve carefully introduced many guest dogs to our trio, and we always ensure everyone is comfortable and safe before leaving them to bond. We have room to keep your pet separate but comfortable if they prefer their own space. 2-Acre Nature Retreat with Fenced Yard & In-Ground Pool! We believe that a vacation should be stress-free for both you and your pet. Our home is designed to be a haven where safety meets serenity. Safety & Serenity: Our home sits on 2 acres of stunning natural beauty, featuring a fully fenced-in (chain link) backyard. It’s the perfect blend of high-energy zoomies and peaceful nature watching. Whether your dog wants to sprint across the grass or simply observe the local birds from the shade, they can do so in a completely secure, enclosed environment. As lifelong pet owners, we are hyper-aware of safety. We perform regular perimeter checks of our fencing and ensure all gates are double-latched. Trust Through Instinct: We don't just watch dogs; we understand them. Our natural instincts with animals allow us to read subtle body language, helping us prevent stress before it starts and ensuring all interactions between our pack and your pup are positive and balanced. Environment: Your dog will never be relegated to a garage or a kennel. They will have full access to our living space, comfortable rugs for napping, and constant climate control. We treat our guests exactly like we treat our own three—as members of the family. Peace of Mind for You We know how hard it is to leave your pup behind. To ensure you feel as relaxed as your dog, we provide: Frequent Updates: Photo and video check-ins so you can see the "zoomies" in action. Transparent Communication: We are always just a text away if you want to check in on their behavior, appetite, or mood. Vetted Companionship: Our three resident dogs are fully vaccinated, well-socialized, and expert hosts. In addition to our large fenced in yard, we feature a large in-ground pool for our water-loving guests! Supervised Splashing: For dogs who love the water, the pool offers a fantastic way to cool off and get some low-impact exercise. Whether it’s fetching a floating toy or just wading on the steps, it’s always a highlight of the stay. Safety First: We take pool safety very seriously. Access to the pool area is strictly supervised at all times. If your dog isn't a swimmer or you prefer they stay dry, we ensure the pool area is off-limits during their outdoor play sessions so they can focus on the grass and trails instead. Post-Swim Care: If your pup does take a dip, we’re happy to give them a quick freshwater rinse and a towel dry so they stay fresh and comfortable when they head back inside.
“As always, he provided outstanding service! We have used him multiple times, and he consistently takes amazing care of our dog. He gives us complete peace of mind while we’re away, and it’s clear that he genuinely cares about the animals he watches. This stay was especially wonderful because our dog even learned how to swim! We loved receiving updates and knowing our dog was having such a great time. We always come home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“It was my first time using this app and I’m super impressed. I loved the photos and videos they sent of my dog while he was in their care for 2 days. Very nice, wonderful people who I will absolutely use in the future.”

“I couldn't be more pleased with the care Sosa and Cotton received while staying with Erwin. From the moment I dropped them off, I could tell they were in good hands. The facility was clean, well organized, and had a welcoming, dog friendly atmosphere. Erwin took the time to learn about Sosa and Cotton’s personality, preferences, and routine, which really put me at ease. Throughout their stay, I received regular updates, including photos and messages, which helped me feel connected to them while I was away. I highly recommend Erwin for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate boarder. It's clear he truly love animals, and I’m grateful for the peace of mind he gave me during the stay. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Connie is an awesome dog sitter. Super flexible for rapidly changing travel plans, and generous with photos. How cool is it to be able to share videos of your pup with family on vacation. My dog loves the big back yard, loving family, and built in playmates. I love being able to leave her with people I know will love on her as much as if not more than I do. Win-win. ”

“Tara and her family were so amazing and took great care of my baby! while away, from daily pics he had so much fun playing with the other pups, didn’t seem like he wanted to come home.”

“Finding Vanessa and Gio was a godsend. We got our fur baby a month before expected and had travel plans we could not change. We were very nervous leaving him after only 10 days with us; but, they put all fear to rest with daily updates, pics, & videos. They followed his schedule and helped with potty and crate training. We can tell he felt safe, cared for, and loved. We’d recommend Vanessa and Gio without hesitation.”

“Needed last minute care for the July 4th holiday and found Aaron and Tia! Very accomodating and happy i chose them! I was worried Howie would get anxious but the daily photos and videos assured me he was well cared for and happy! Thank you so much!”

“Definitely will be rebooking with Garrett and Ana! You can tell from the first meet and greet that they love animals and they took such good care of Teddie. They sent pictures throughout the week and kept me well informed. I felt 100% comfortable with them and Teddie can’t wait for his next visit.”

About: I’ve care for several cats while growing up, across different household and am diligent when it came to litter box cleanings and medication administering, I’ve been scratched and bit up to the face but the love is always the same!

“I really appreciated the quick responses and the daily pictures. The fact that M’aiq actually let her see him goes to show she is definitely a cat person. I didn’t worry about my babies once.”

About: Although I do not have cats of my own, I am happy to care for yours! I’ve worked as a cat volunteer at the humane society and pet sit for cats in the past. I have not administered medication to cats, but am happy to learn!
“Kady loves and knows animals and it really shows. She's very communicative and professional. Kady went above and beyond to help clean up after a cat having new litter issues. She handled my 4 cats with no issues. I highly recommend her for anyone with cats and multiple animals. I will absolutely use Kady again in the future.”

“Morgan was FANTASTIC! I had never left my cat with anyone except my best friend and was extremely nervous about traveling for the holidays after she moved away. Morgan's expertise and care made it possible for my girl to stay in her comfort zone, and for me to be with family without severe anxiety. He communicated clearly and often, gave me great updates (and photos!), and was the perfect mix of professional and personable. He took plenty of time with her even when he came out on Christmas Day. He clearly understood cat psychology and Cleo adored him for it (I'm a little shocked because she does not typically warm up to people that quickly at all!). All in all I could not be more thrilled to have found a trustworthy source of care for my baby girl, and will definitely be using Morgan again in the future! 🧡”

“Aleyah promptly responded to my last minute request. She’s communicative, and made sure that my cat is taken care of (Food, water and litter box). My cat loved her, I HEARD HER PURRRing on the phone!💙💚 Thank you Aleyah 😻”

“That is a great addition—it shows she really understands different cat personalities, from the "spicy" ones who hate grooming to the shy ones. Here is the updated review with those details included: ### Review for Liz **Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** Liz provided incredible care for my three cats while I was away. It is always a bit stressful leaving a multi-cat household, but Liz handled everything with total professionalism and genuine care. She stayed on top of their specific needs, including: * **Medication & Maintenance:** She reliably administered medicine and kept the litter boxes spotless. Food and water were always fresh and topped off. * **Frank:** I loved the updates about her playing with him; she made sure he got plenty of exercise with his favorite laser toy! * **Rudy:** She even managed to give Rudy a good brushing—something he usually hates when I do it! She clearly has a magic touch. * **Ryan:** For my hider, Ryan, Liz took the time to find her every day just to lay eyes on her and make sure she was safe and doing okay. It’s clear Liz truly loves animals and respects their individual boundaries. I came home to happy, relaxed cats and a tidy home. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, patient sitter!”

“Anna did a great job looking after my senior cat with health issues. As all 3 of my pets have conditions requiring meds, it is a comfort to leave them with someone with Vet Tech experience.”

About: I’ve grown up with multiple dog breeds my whole life. I’ve also owned cats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I have 2+ years of experience with taking care of bearded dragons and I’ve had a couple visits with snakes, specifically corn snakes. I work with any and all dogs/cats. I also like to send pics/videos of the pets to their owners daily for that reassurance that their fur baby is taken care of with the upmost care! I’m currently a full-time college student. I’m available any day and any time of the week. I’m usually available last minute as well and around holidays if needed. I currently have 4 dogs; 3 Yorkies and 1 Boarder Collie mix. They’re set on a twice per day feeding and their internal clock is set to those times. If I were to be in a clients home, I would do my best to ensure the animal stays in their routine and their feeding/medication is on schedule. They’d get plenty of play times and unlimited cuddles!

“Casey was phenomenal with our pup! Loved being able to communicate with her and she even sent the cutest photos of our pup! I will definitely be using Casey for all of our future drop in, babysitting, and doggie care! Thank you Casey !!!”

I am currently a vet tech at a reputable animal clinic near me 4 days a week (Mon,Tues, wed, fri) from 9-6 but I am generally flexible outside of that! “We were visiting from out of state and Anna took care of our puppy Osa while we spent the day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This was our first experience with Rover so we were a bit nervous. Anna was great, she sent several pictures, Osa seemed happy when she was returned, and Anna was nice enough to drop her off in downtown Monterey so we didn't have to give up our parking spot when we were done with the aquarium.”

“Our boy Toby had a great time staying with Brooke! Brooke was very responsive when we asked questions throughout the day and I really appreciated seeing pictures of how much fun Toby was having. We will definitely be using her services again in the future! Thank you, Brooke for all that you’ve done for us!”

About: I’ve had a lifelong love for animals and years of experience caring for a wide variety of pets—including dogs, cats, fish, snakes, pigs, and even chickens! Currently, I share my home with three beloved cats—Captain, Haven, and Slasher—and one sweet pup, Lucy, who keeps life fun and full of love. In addition to caring for my own fur babies, I regularly house-sit and pet-sit for friends and family. I'm currently unemployed due to medical reasons, which gives me a flexible schedule to accommodate potty breaks, playtime, feeding routines, and check-ins—even if I’m not staying overnight. I like to start with a meet and greet to get to know you and your pets. During that time, I ask clients to walk me through their routine and expectations, and I encourage leaving a detailed care list I can refer back to as needed. My goal is to keep things as smooth, stress-free, and loving as possible—for both you and your pets. I'd love the opportunity to care for your fur babies with the same attention and affection I give my own. Let's chat about how I can help! Pet care is already a big part of my daily life with my own cats and dog. I plan my day around feeding, potty breaks, and playtime, so adding in care for other pets fits naturally into my routine. My flexible schedule allows me to easily accommodate visits, walks, or overnight stays based on your pet’s needs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow any specific routines or instructions provided and make sure pets are in a secure, clean, and stress-free environment. I take the time to build trust with each pet, move at their pace, and keep their daily routines as consistent as possible. I also encourage clients to leave detailed care notes to ensure nothing is missed.
“We were visiting from out of town for our sons wedding and needed a last minute sitter. Thankfully we found Megan! Olive had a great time with Megan. She was a happy and worn out pup by the time we picked her up.”

“Kady was great with Thor. I appreciate her being available with a last minute request. She’s very flexible and reliable. I also appreciated the updates and pics. We’ll be back again!”

“My first time using Rover and can’t say that I wasn’t nervous. I spoke to Seyla the night before my drop off and he assured me that Ace was in good hands. And that he was. He communicated with me all day with videos and pictures of Ace mingling with the other dogs and his daily walks he took. The pick up and drop was very smooth. Ace was accepted and enjoyed his day with Seyla and his wife. Got him home and was ready for bed. I would definitely recommend Sehla to anyone and will for sure will be using his service again.”

“This was my very first-time using Rover, and when I say I am overly pleased. Richardine is AWESOME! I was so nervous to use the service because I had just had a pup pass away, and I did not know what I was going to do going forward. I did a meet and greet with Richardine, and I knew at that moment, my pup will be with Richardine each time I will need a sitter. Very personable, reliable, and made sure I received photos throughout the day to let me know what my pup was doing. Once I picked my pup up, she was playing, and happy. I am truly overjoyed with the service that I received. Thank you so much Richardine, and I will see you very soon. Latisha M.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs/animals ever since I was 9. I have experience with puppies all the way to blind seniors who need special attention and care. I also have experience with pregnant dogs. I am able to give meds and/or shots. I am currently a vet tech at a reputable animal clinic near me 4 days a week (Mon,Tues, wed, fri) from 9-6 but I am generally flexible outside of that! As of right now I am unable to offer pet sitting services at my house as my current dog isn’t friendly with others. However when I go to your home I will be respectful of whatever house rules you have in place and do my best to leave your house as I found it.
About: I just relocated to the Maryland/DC area from Monterey, California. I am excited to be back on the east coast and I look forward to making some new friends here! I love exotic animals (and farm animals) and I also offer petsitting services for these friends, just send me a message and I can make you a custom booking. I can give any medications to your pets, including pills, injections, and topical medication for no extra charge. All medication administration is including in my base rates. I have experience giving insulin, chemo, daily fluids, and many other medications. I love watching elderly animals and I can provide any needed medical care. I live and work in Maryland but I am happy to housesit and do drop-in visits and walks for anyone in Maryland, Virginia, or DC. My service area is wide and I don't mind driving a bit to get to your house. I have military base access and I'm happy to watch animals living on military bases in the area. I worked as a veterinary technician for over 5 years before I started working in human medicine. I worked at a veterinary hospital in Georgia for over five years while I completed college. I frequently petsat during high school and college and cared for several animals that were medically fragile. I enjoy bottle-feeding puppies and kittens in my free time. I love all types of animals and can provide advanced medical care to boarding animals. I have worked with all sizes, shapes, and types of animals at the vet clinic and have had many exotic animals of my own. I currently have 4 dogs, 3 birds, and 2 hedgehogs. I am happy to watch any number of animals, including farm animals, please just send me a message and I can create a custom booking for you and your pets depending on the level of care that they need. My husband and I live with our 4 dogs in La Plata, Maryland. We have a large fenced in yard and plenty of space to play in. We have 2 doves in a birdcage at home but they will not interfere with the dogs. We are unable to host cats in our home due to an allergy but I am available to petsit for cats in your home. My husband watches our animals while I am away housesitting, they would not come with me to any of my bookings. I work about 15 hours out of the home each week but other than that I am always home. I have 4 dogs of my own, 3 birds, and 2 hedgehogs so taking care of animals is something I enjoy doing. I recently adopted 2 hedgehogs and I hope to keep growing my animal family in the future. I don't have kids and my husband also assists with animal care when needed (the dogs are my kids let's be honest). When I am boarding dogs at my home, they are one of my family and do the same things my dogs are doing. I take everyone outside frequently and I am always throwing a ball or playing tug of war with someone. If I'm napping, the dogs are on the bed with me napping too. Usually everyone is pretty happy to be lounging on the couch or following me around the house while I do my chores. I have a large fenced in yard that I prefer to use to exercise dogs and take them to potty. I am happy to walk dogs around the neighborhood if they need the extra exercise but I do require that the dog has a well fitting harness. Some dogs are master escape artists from their collars/harnesses (little houdinis), so if this is the case for your dog we will be playing inside my fenced in yard instead. My fence is about 6 feet tall so if your dog is capable of jumping higher than this please let me know when booking.

About: I’m the kind of sitter who makes pets feel like they’ve known me forever, safe, seen, and ready for a good time. I bring a mix of high energy, real experience, and a genuine love for all kinds of pets. I’m great with puppies who need structure, rescues who need patience, and seniors who need comfort and consistency. I read body language well, keep pets active and engaged, and tailor everything to their personality so they feel safe, confident, and cared for, and at the end of the day, pets get someone who’s fully present, tuned in, and committed to making their time feel good and stress free( since they have so much responsibility). 🤗 Use my promo code for your first visit: KAITLM75162 Profile link: https://www.rover.com/sit/kaitlm75162 I structure my days around walks, feeding, playtime, and check ins, so caring for pets naturally fits into my morning and evening rhythm. I’m active and outside often, which makes daily walks and enrichment easy to build in. Weekly, I plan extra time for longer walks, yard play, and any overnight care that’s needed. I stay attentive to each pet’s needs, whether that’s extra exercise, slow introductions, or a calm environment for seniors or rescues. I follow the owner’s routines closely so pets stay in their familiar rhythm. Walks, feeding, medication, and enrichment are done exactly as instructed. I keep the home tidy, respect boundaries, and make sure pets get the same level of attention, affection, and structure they’re used to.
About: Hi, I'm Val! I'm a lifelong animal lover with decades of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes (we were definitely a pet-crazy family!). My sister is a former vet tech (I have learned so much from her and she is still my #1 resource when I have to "triage" anything non-emergent), and I grew up surrounded by animals, so pet care has always felt like second nature to me. I’ve cared for senior pets, administered medications, supported animals with special needs, even raised premature puppies! I’m very attuned to the unique rhythms and cues of each animal I meet. I’m gentle, playful, and intuitive, matching energy levels and always paying attention to what a pet needs in the moment. Whether that means slow movements and soft energy or zoomies and tug-of-war, I show up in a way that helps your pet feel safe, respected, and loved. I also deeply value communication with pet parents. I’ll always ask lots of questions to understand your preferences, routines, and what makes your pet feel their best. You can count on regular photo and written updates during our time together! I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work with pets who may require more attention on walks together due to triggers, so long as there’s no bite history and we’ve had a proper meet & greet to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. :) I'm looking forward to meeting your fur fam! I work remotely and have a flexible and self-structured schedule, so I’m thankfully able to build my days intentionally around the things that matter, including pet care! I space out my client sessions to make room for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with the animals I care for. When caring for pets in their home, I’m respectful of their space and routines, and always take the time to understand what helps them feel safe and comfortable. I read behavior cues, match energy levels, and adjust my approach, whether that means calm and slow or playful and high-energy. I ask detailed questions up front so I can follow your preferences closely, and I always keep you updated with photos and notes. Your pet’s well-being and emotional safety are my top priorities.

Win-win. ”

We can tell he felt safe, cared for, and loved. We’d recommend Vanessa and Gio without hesitation.”

“Lindsay is amazing! I took a trip abroad and left my fur babies in her care while I was away and I couldn't be happier with the service she provided.
