“I was very satisfied with Ryan's care of our dog. He communicated constantly before, during, and after the boarding to alleviate any confusion. He was also considerate in making her feel comfortable in her new environment. I appreciated that Ryan offered to give a a wash and nail trimming at a very affordable rate. This I thought set Ryan apart from other people that we have had watch our dog. We will certainly rebook with Ryan next time we are in the area.”

“Marcia was wonderful; they made my pup feel like a member of the family! I got lots of updates so I didn't have to worry while I was away for work. Cane was having so much fun that I wasn't sure he'd want to come home!”

“Total rock star sitter - could not recommend Kari any more highly! This was only Sadie‘s second time boarding in someone else’s home without me…I learned from my first experience that Sadie does not do great with other pets in the house… and, even though Kari’s was pet free, I was still trepidatious about trying another boarding situation in a strange (to my pup) home. My fears were immediately alleviated upon meeting and seeing Kari interact with Sadie and how she let Sadie explore around her wonderful home. Physical relief was all I felt when I left Sadie with her. Kari kept me informed each day with reports and pictures of what she and Sadie were doing, and I was never worried that Sadie was anxious or anything but completely comfortable. Seriously will make sure that Kari is available anytime I plan anything where I need to leave Sadie with someone for any reason! I think my girl had a great time and definitely was very well cared for. Cannot thank Kari and her family enough! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Karen hosted my dog Lulu overnight and was very genial & accommodating as well as an excellent communicator. It was clear that Lulu felt very comfortable with Karen and her sweet dog.”

“Caitlin cared for our dogs in her home and was great. She and her mom took great care of our 2 Shih Tzu-Bichons for about 2 weeks in June while we traveled to Alaska. She sent pictures of the dogs to assure me they had adjusted well to their home away from home. Caitlin also communicated about feeding the dogs when the dogs got picky about their food (we provided our own food, but our dogs are very finicky). I let her know that was totally normal for our dogs. Caitlin provided crates for the dogs, so we didn’t have to lug ours over to her place. Caitlin was very accommodating with pick up and drop off times. We will definitely use her again!”

“Otis had a great time with Caitlin and her family! She was really flexible and communicative, and sent us regular updates and pictures. We so appreciated having such a welcoming family to care for our pup!”

“We adopted Igor very recently and we knew it would be asking a lot of him to board so quickly. They took such great care of him and his separation anxiety. I would not hesitate to bring Igor back for visits and stays in the future. Thank you again for being so kind!”

“Millie had a terrific weekend. A shy dog, Maria took the time to integrate her into her family activities. She came back happy, bathed and exhausted from her weekend. Maria was also very accommodating with our schedule- we dropped off early and picked up earlier than planned. She was gracious and helpful. Maria also sent great pictures of Millie from her weekend - which were passed around the table at the graduation dinner.”

“Ollie had the best time! Katie and Jessie were patient as Ollie warmed up, they took him to the beach and on a boat ride. Overall they treated him like their own pet and Ollie seemed happy. They sent multiple photos each day and were very responsive. Great sitters!”

“Julie was absolutely amazing! This was our first time leaving our pup, and Julie sent multiple daily updates, and was so welcoming, caring and kind. I HIGHLY recommend Julie and we will be booking with her (and her wonderful dog Ellie) again.”

“Andrea and Bob truly went above and beyond watching my mini bernedoodle while I visited friends on the cape! She instantly felt at home in the yard and went on lots of adventures on the beach, a trail, and jeep rides! I was worried she would never want to leave. Penny was in heaven and hopes to be back soon!”

“Gracie loves spending time at Marc’s. She gets lots of exercise, playtime with other dogs and I enjoy receiving the photos of her when I’m away. I will never board her at a kennel again. It is better for BOTH of us knowing that she’s under 24-hr care.”

“Cindi was absolutely wonderful in caring for our dog Benny. We got daily updates and pictures letting us know how he was doing. The meet and greet was really thorough and made us feel like Benny would be at a home away from home while we were out of town. I would absolutely recommend Cindi to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter for their pup!”

“Melissa was wonderful with my dog Ella. She kept me updated with pictures and notes every day. Ella looked very happy in all the pictures around the house and during walks. I was happy that her dog and two cats got along very well with Ella. Would definitely book with her again.”

“Emily and Caroline took amazing care of Coco!! We were visiting the Cape for a week and knew she was in great hands :) Frequent communication, super flexible with drop off/pick up, and a great fenced in backyard! Will definitely reach out if we are back in town in the future!”

“Samantha took amazing care of my little cat and guinea pig . She was on time , commutative and showed that she really has a big heart that cares about people and their animals. I will definitely be reaching out to her again for her amazing service.”

I could tell that Poppy was at ease when I returned & everything was very clean when I arrived home which I appreciate. I would book again.”

“Karissa was professional and lovely to our cat. We had never used Rover before and she was an excellent choice! She kept us updated with pictures and videos from her visits and was so lovely to offer to do small things for us while we were gone (grab the mail, refresh/change the litter box, etc.) we felt like we left our cat in great hands!”

About: I’ve had a family dog my whole life, and my fiancé and I hope to have our own someday. Since we’re not able to right now, I get my dog fix through Rover! I’ve been active on Rover for over a year, doing walks, drop-ins, and house sitting pretty consistently. I love getting to care for all different kinds of dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time Monday–Friday from 8:30–4:30, with a lunch break where I can run home if needed. I’m always available on weekends and usually spend that time going on long walks, so I’m happy to include pets in my weekend plans! I treat every pet like my own! I follow their routine, give them plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care.
About: As a CPDT-KA certified trainer, I offer dog walking services that go beyond basic exercise. Each walk incorporates training and enrichment tailored to your dog’s unique needs. My expertise is ideal for dogs who are fearful, nervous, hyper, or reactive—especially those other walkers may find challenging. A training walk is a perfect way to advance your dog’s progress when your schedule is too packed for regular training sessions. Please note: My walking services are not suitable for aggressive dogs. If you’re dealing with aggression, please contact me directly or explore my specialized training services. I offer training walk services Monday through Friday, with both daytime and evening availability. For the best results, I recommend scheduling two sessions per week, such as Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday. I exclusively use positive reinforcement techniques to care for and train dogs, whether during training walks or in your home. My focus is on creating a safe, encouraging environment that builds trust and confidence in your dog. Each session is tailored to meet your dog’s unique needs while reinforcing good behaviors in a kind and effective way. With this approach, I ensure your dog feels supported and thrives in their routine.

“We just moved from CA with our 15 year old Diva Tortoise Shell cat and she is extremely skittish around anyone but my husband and myself. It took our last sitter almost two years to see her and have her come up to smell his hand! The first day Susan was there she sent us a photo of Tay sitting in the doorway checking her out - which was phenomenal! She must sense that Susan is a true cat person and it really blew us away. We feel confident now that we can leave her home without feeling guilty! I would recommend her highly and can't wait to finally go on vacation and not worry about Tay as much. :)”

About: Hello! My name is Annika, and I am a high school teacher looking for extra time with animals. I currently own two dogs and a cat, and have owned many animals in the past. One of my dogs is a year old, so I have plenty of puppy experience. All of the dogs I have owned are over 60 pounds, so I also have experience with large dogs. I am also aware of the large spectrum of different types of cat attitudes there are. I am so excited to get some extra animal time in my life. Please reach out if you think I can help you and your pup/cat! I am a teacher with the summer off. I do have some obligations throughout the summer, but will be able to help out when I can. I am aware of the needs that many different types of animals need. I know that puppies need lots of stimulation, older dogs still need love, and cats need what they want when they want it.

“Emily was amazing- Hazel had the best time and they were clearly fast friends! She was responsive and asked all the right questions. She clearly loves dogs! She took hazel for multiple walks and texted me updates throughout the day. Highly recommend!!! She is the best!”

“Maria is amazing with animals and humans! She provided exceptional care to our Frenchie, Evie. She listened carefully to our request and was able to meet our needs with ease. Maria has fantastic attention to details and her updates during the day provided worried dog parents great comfort. Her home and property provides a doggie sanctuary. Maria went above and beyond when we asked for our little one to get a bath. Our Evie, never had it so good ( a blueberry facial)!!! She came home cleaned, trimmed and soft as could be. I would not hesitate to use Maria’s services again and I can’t recommend her highly enough. You and your four-legged friend is in great hands and care with Maria!”

“Karen watched our pup both for boarding and doggy day care over a very busy holiday weekend. She was wonderful - very flexible, pleasant and great at communicating. Our pup had a great time and was happy and tired when we picked him up. Will definitely reach out to Karen when we are back in the area. Thank you Karen!”

“Caitlin was very accommodating especially for a last minute request during a high holiday. She also went above and beyond in other ways allowing us to enjoy a day at the beach while traveling. We highly recommend her”

“Marc was amazing providing friendly home care to our Dog. Our Dog had wonderful time while staying at Marc by playing in his backyard with his Dog and fun time on lake. Thank you for taking care of our furbaby. We truly recommend his service & appreciate it.”

“I enjoyed meeting Peter. He took care of my pup, Chip, and provided him with a home and a play pal for the day. Chip was happy and I was able to relax and enjoy my event. Peter provided me with peace of mind knowing that my Chip was in good hands. That’s all a dog parent can ask for. Thank you kindly, Peter. Hope to see you and Scooby again soon! Hugs, Chip and Eris”

“Kathleen was a delight for me and my dog. It was a last-minute booking. So having never met my dog before drop-off, she took time for my dog to get comfortable with her before I left. And then she sent almost a dozen pictures and videos while I was away for about seven hours. She also sent several updates (and compliments) about my dog, so I didn’t even have to wonder if everything was going well. She obviously loves dogs.”

“we were looking for a home close by to our house where Quinnie could have some time to interact with other dogs in a safe and living environment. Jackie‘s home was perfect for what we were looking for. A large securely fenced yard plus a dog door. Quinnie seemed very comfortable with Jackie, her husband and their three adorable dogs. She spent six hours there and came home tuckered out, but she seemed very happy with the day. Jackie was very attentive and kept us informed. We would very highly recommend her!”

“William and his wife were amazing! They have a great indoor and outdoor space to manage the dogs in their care, including a split fenced in yard to separate dogs. I knew my dog would be in good hands and would definitely leave her in their care again.”

“Melissa took great care of our Mandy who is a senior dog and needs a little extra help. She was great in letting us know how Mandy was doing and we greatly appreciate Melissa’s communication.”

About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. I’m home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout and spot for their bed. The ilving room has multiple sunny spots for napping throughout the day. We will take several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.
“We had a fantastic experience with Cindi through Rover while vacationing in Cape Cod. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make Finnegan feel comfortable and loved. She arranged a meet and greet a few days before the drop-off, during which she asked thoughtful questions and took notes on Finnegan’s preferences, showing her genuine care and attention to detail. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, Cindi took Finnegan on multiple walks, demonstrating her dedication and love for dogs. Throughout his stay, she kept us wonderfully updated with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel connected even from afar. When it was time to pick him up, Finnegan ran right to her door like he owned the place a clear sign of how happy and comfortable he was with her. We will definitely be using Cindi again and highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for a caring, attentive, and reliable sitter.”

“My dog, Kiwi, had a fabulous visit with Andrea and Bob! They were extremely communicative and accommodating before our visit. They took care to learn Kiwi’s quirks, likes, and dislikes (she has a big personality, so there are a lot!). They even had toys and balls at their house for her to play with. It’s clear that they are experienced and intuitive dog caretakers, which is so important to me as a nervous dog mom. When I went to pick her up, Kiwi was all smiles and happy body language…I know she had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Andrea and Bob.”

She was available last minute, took the time to talk to me for a while, was validating and reassuring and made me confident my dog was in good hands. She showed up as promised, was so sweet and professional, and great with the pup. Can't thank you enough for stepping in a a tough time, and taking such good care of us. 💜”

Whether your pet loves adventure, playtime, quiet companionship, or requires a little extra patience and understanding, I’ll make sure they receive attentive, compassionate care tailored to them. Currently working Full time and looking to do this as a side job. I would prefer dogs that are close to me to ensure I can do as many walks as possible.

“Alyne watched my 1yr 3mo old Boston Terrier, “Bōdie, while I was away for 6 days. Our meet and greet was smooth and easy. Alyne is a very calming personality and Bōdie took to her immediately as he did with her Dog Bruce. It all seemed like a good fit which was relieving since Bōdie has some challenges with anxiety. I felt lucky that we found a match. I dropped Bōdie off on a Saturday afternoon and went to Boston for a flight out early the next morning. I got a text from Alyne that Bōdie was not doing well. He was nervous, and agitated. He lunged at Alyne’s mom and it was difficult to introduce him to her boyfriend. Bōdie was not adjusting well. Yet I was about to board a plane to Arizona in 20 minutes. I was so concerned and upset for my dog at that time. I had to figure out the best thing to do on the fly. I started texting with my dog trainer who really calmed me down and gave instructions to handle Bōdie’s stress. I copied and pasted everything the trainer said to Alyne. Then I introduced them to each other on a text string in case Alyne needed any support from Emma during the time I was away and unavailable. All I could do was let go and trust that Alyne would care for Bōdie in a compassionate way even though he was presenting a challenge. I asked her to please understand Bōdie was scared and have understanding. I was really worried but had to try to let it go so it would not ruin my trip. Alyne would send me occasional updates on Bodie’s progress which was often not so good. Alyne let me know that since Bōdie had some bad behaviors she would have to crate him to de stimulate him. “If he is being aggressive I will have to keep him in the crate”. I totally understood Alyne’s position and told her that I agreed with her point of view. I was apologetic yet also worried for my dog. So, this situation was not a good one. But here is what I want to tell you, my assessment of Alyne was that she was calm, compassionate, and accountable. For this reason I decided that she would do the best that she could given his anxiety. She was forthright in informing me that she would have to limit his exposure to others if he misbehaved. But I could also tell that she was mindful that he was a scared puppy and she did not seem to hold that against him. She made sure he had play time with other dogs that he got along with. And she administered a prescription ointment to a skin condition that he had over his eye which was unrelated to the visit. The skin condition was improved when I came back. She made sure he had exercise, was fed properly etc. During the visit, Alyne indicated that Bōdie would likely not be welcomed back for future visits, which I understood fully. I did pick him up 18 hours earlier than scheduled to make it easier for her and did not ask for any refund for the final day which she deserved for her trouble. When I did pick him up last night, he was very skittish and over stimulated. I put him in his crate in the car where he calmed down. Then I talked with Alyne for a good 20 mins and she told me of her experiences and observation of Bōdie over the past five days. I got great feedback from Alyne that I will use with my trainer in future sessions. I saw where and how she isolated Bōdie and it is exactly what a I would have done if I were in her position. At the end. Alyne even mentioned that it might be possible to just have Bōdie come for occasional day-care-only sessions to help him desensitize more gradually. (Perhaps she saw a possibility for him after all?) It may have just been a case of too-much-too-soon. This revealed to me Alyne’s true level of compassion for dogs in general. It told me that she was not ruffled easily and understood Bodie’s plight. I was amazed as I drove away with the impression that she would be open to a day care session with him in the future, given the right circumstances. I took Bōdie home. He was skittish and jumpy. He pulled on the leash and growled. But I sat him on the bed and gave him treats every time he looked in my eyes. And he calmed down. Then I took him in the shower and he simply melted into me and relaxed under the warm water. He was home. Today he is back to minding and being a happy puppy. I can see that he will need a little bit of training reinforcement but that is to be expected and all is well. This was a situation that, with different people, could have been a disaster. But because Alyne and I were both willing to work together and we understood each other’s position, we each did what we could do to make the best of the situation. We each tried to make it easier for the other, it ended up with a positive outcome. There is one thing that I wish Alyne would have done. And that is just to let me know: “I got this” , “he will be ok, I will just have to isolate him at times and this will work out.” It would have been really helpful if she would have reassured me that, though there were difficulties, she would handle it and that she would be accountable to keep my puppy well. I needed that from her. It is for that reason that my rating for Alyne is 4.5 on the scale of 5. But since a .5 score is not calibrated into this system I would have to judge her closer to the 5. As it was, I got the reassurance from Bodie’s trainer who was also at an airport headed to another state. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend Alyne as a possible go-to care for your dog when you are away. Even though she might not actually say it, she “is” accountable to do her job for you and your beloved pet. Alyne is also straight forward and will tell it to you like it is. But that is a good thing because you will always know where she stands. Her communication is clear. Another thing : Bōdie came home clean. He smelled good. The shower was not because he needed it, it was to calm him down. All of his belongings were returned in the same condition as they were. No dirty leash or collar etc. I just had to clean out one ear! Lol. Alyne said that one of his toys was lost and she looked for it but couldn’t find it. It was no big deal to me. I barely remembered what it was. Go ahead, make the appointment with her. Even if there is a challenge, it will work out, if you work together.”

“This is our second stay with Isabella, and our dogs love staying with her. She is attentive and keeps us up to date on how they’re doing. Our past trip we got caught up in some bad weather coming home and she was more than accommodating for a later pick up time which we greatly appreciated! I would highly recommend Isabella.”
