They hit it off immediately and Mahayla explained her background in animal/dog behavior studies and reassured us that all would go well... and it did! Our pup had a blast trail hiking and also just relaxing at Mahayla's home. Mahayla clearly understands and loves dogs, and it was clear that she was focused on our dog's enjoyment, comfort level and care. She was also focused on our needs as the owners. About: Retired Military Veteran, 12 years of service. Very reliable and love animals. I love all breeds of dogs regardless of the stereotypes. Can’t wait to start watching your dogs. I have a vast background, military and emergency services. I’m in the process of becoming a nys emt and then will go on for my paramedic hopefully my flight medic. I’ve grown up with dogs and haven’t had a dog in a year. Feel free to look up my information in the military to know that I’m a veteran. I am always available even for a last minute vacation. My husband and I would love to help who ever needs that extra tlc while their owners go away. I’m home all day every day. I work overnights so my hubby could let your little or big pups out to go potty before work. They will have free range of the house unless they are specifically crated then I can put them in the crate and take them out when needed.

About: I have my own kitty who I pamper with wet and dry food everyday, yummy jerky treats and she’s spoiled with toys galore. I trim and file her nails since I have a sofa but she’s such a sweet girl she knows not to!! Love felines, really the amount of times I’ve walked into the local Home Depot and got sucked into hours of sitting on the floor to interact with them is, well, everytime I go in there. I really have no difficulty with cats and their varying personalities.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life so I’m very comfortable with them. I currently have two of my own. Friends and family have relied on me for walks, feeds, and house sitting. I’m currently working part time because I’m in nursing school so I’m available week nights after 2/3 pm and most weekends! Boarding and house sitting availability are weekends as well. The communication during the booking process was great, as I had a number of questions. Tetiana was responsive and thorough. We found written Q&A better than a call. They were flexible with how we prefer care, food, exercise, rest, etc. We received nice pictures, videos and notes ... even though our stay was only 2 days. I have been house and dog sitting regularly for the same family twice a year since 2007 and through word of mouth have picked up many more clients that would happily give a reference if requested. I feed fish and small pets and I'm happy to hang out with cats, spiders, and snakes too. I work full time for a very flexible boss, so getting home to let pets out on breaks and lunch isn't an issue. Once home for the day I tend not to leave so pets will be well cared for and I'll be very present for them. I don't trust letting any pet off leash while outside unless in a fenced in yard. I'm overprotective to a fault. I have sat on a kitchen floor for 45 minutes letting a dog bark at me while getting used to having me around.

About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

About: I've taken care of animals all shapes and sizes since I can remember. Growing up my only job was to make sure my fur babies were fed and loved unconditionally. I would go to a friend of the family and help her with her pit bull and (several) greyhounds. I've worked at kennels from a young age and have had my own share of birds, mice, fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs, and chinchillas as well as dogs and cats. The home has only been without pets for around 7 months now and I would love to dedicate some of my time to people who need genuine love and care for their fur babies! I do not have a job, I am around all of the time! I can be there any time day or night! You name it. I do not have a fenced in yard, however all of the neighborhood doggies are very very friendly. I have a decent sized yard and live next to multiple fields and grassy areas.
About: ive had a couple of dog growing up in my childhood a sweet old black lab and a super crazy dingo.. in my free time after school and during summer i used to walk them, no amount of walking could satisfy my dingo.. id have her pull my bike to get all her energy out since we didnt have any closed in areas she could run off in.. ( i dont do this anymore! i realize its not very safe! she absolutely loved it for sure though) i love pups big and small old and energetic theyre all very unique and id love some new friends to get me out of the house. id ask you beforehand of course if youd be okay with them swimming, theres a pond i can bring them to after walking to cool off at. our backyard is fenced! i have two cats, so id like to know how your dog reacts around small creatures, if they cant be in contact i can always but them into a room while the dog is over. most likely theyd be outside! lots of shade and id keep em well hydrated and happy :3 i currently have been on a job hunt since what feels like forever, my schedule is very. very open.. since i dont have a car, drop off would be ideal, if your close enough to walk to i can do that too! weekends are the only time id be able to pick up your pooch my cats get their waters filled and cleaned almost daily, lots of love of course and are very spoiled. i dont have any dogs at the moment, so of course id love to chat about what youd expect and need for your lovely pup! im good with communication and friendly, special needs id be extra attentive to. im very good at remembering small things, though id still write em down incase!

About: 5 years ago my family had gotten a puppy (jack Russell, beagle, terroir, Pitt bull mix). My puppy is a big baby, and is scared of everything. From flies to the wind. But he also can be a bit mean and over protective about his belongings. I was able to find ways around him being overly protective about his things. I was the main person to get up early to take him out in the mornings, throughout the day, and at night. We then a year later got his sister from a different litter from the same mom and dad. She is the complete opposite. She is a loving dog. She always wants to cuddle and loves to play and have all the attention to her. Since I was little I’ve always loved dogs. I love playing with them and walking with them. I’m a full time nanny but have a lot of free time on my hands while the kids are at school and their activities. I’m looking for some occasional work and maybe part time opportunities. I would always make sure the pet has food and water. Make sure the environment around them is safe. And make sure to attend their needs in any way that is needed.
About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. My parents also run a dog sitting business on cape cod and I help out there when I can! I am also fully insured! I’m a current second grade teacher, so I’m completely free on the weekends and the summer months, as well as school vacations to take care of your furry friends! I will love your dog like my own! About: Loving animals runs in my family! My mother is an animal rescue volunteer and growing up we owned 6 cats and one dog. There were always strays and foster pets going in and out of our home. I absolutely love animals and understand them very well. I know how to take care of them and love them the way they want to receive love. About: I’ve dog sat on numerous occasions for friends and family with dogs. I’ve sat bigger dogs, smaller dogs. Older and younger. I love dogs and their kisses and loves. I love playing with them and help getting exercise or just cuddles in. I do work but I can be flexible to help care for needs of the pets.
