About: I have my own kitty who I pamper with wet and dry food everyday, yummy jerky treats and she’s spoiled with toys galore. I trim and file her nails since I have a sofa but she’s such a sweet girl she knows not to!! About: When I lived in my grandmothers house I would frequently house sit for relatives that rented out the bottom apartment. They have 2 senior dogs that needed a little extra attention and love, and a few house plants. I took care of them roughly 4 or 5 times over the years (not consecutively, so not quite an entire year of experience) so that their moms could go on vacation and recover from hospital stays. Since then, I have gone on to get a job at a Doggie Daycare facility out near Boston, where I am continuing to learn more about dog behavior and health. At my job we are trained on safety procedures & health concerns to be on the lookout for, and I have been trained to watch for body language changes. I am currently looking for something to fill my time during the beginning of the week. On weekends and later on in the week I commute to Boston for my job at the doggie daycare. I am also flexible with my weekend dates, so with enough notice I can move almost anything around. I can easily crate a dog if needed for safety of any kind. My position at the daycare is to constantly be on the lookout for changes in behavior and mood, so you can entrust that I will always have your pups safety as priority number one. I am also well versed in being able to reward the good behavior and ignore the bad (within reason) so as not to encourage attention seeking behavior, but still reward even the simplest well done tasks (sitting down/relaxing, playing safely).

I can drop in for feeds, play time, take them to vet appointments while you're at work or away, stay the night if they get separation anxiety, whatever they need! In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

About: I volunteered for 1.5 years at a shelter in Montana and most recently worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility as a handler and trainer for approximately a year. I personally have been a dog owner since 2013 (not including family dogs growing up). I have experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and demeanors. I have extensive hands-on training in reading dog body language. I am particularly well-versed in building a good relationship with nervous/fearful dogs. I treat every dog as if they were my own pet! I’m currently working full-time and looking to do pet care on the side. My schedule can vary from week to week but we can figure out what works best for both of our schedules. I always respect a dog’s boundaries and never do anything that they are uncomfortable with. I am a very confident handler and that helps in building a trusting relationship with a new dog. Even if the dog immediately wants to be my best friend, I let them come to me and I let them set the tone and pace. The most important thing with any dog is patience and not forcing them into a situation that could be stressful for them. I have successfully trained two dogs that I adopted with behavioral issues including reactivity to other dogs & people, and resource guarding. I believe in positive reinforcement ALWAYS. If a correction is needed I use a firm but calm voice, and praise when the inappropriate behavior stops. You can rest assured that I will never do anything to harm your beloved pet.
About: I've taken care of animals all shapes and sizes since I can remember. Growing up my only job was to make sure my fur babies were fed and loved unconditionally. I would go to a friend of the family and help her with her pit bull and (several) greyhounds. I've worked at kennels from a young age and have had my own share of birds, mice, fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs, and chinchillas as well as dogs and cats. The home has only been without pets for around 7 months now and I would love to dedicate some of my time to people who need genuine love and care for their fur babies! I do not have a job, I am around all of the time! I can be there any time day or night! You name it. I do not have a fenced in yard, however all of the neighborhood doggies are very very friendly. I have a decent sized yard and live next to multiple fields and grassy areas.
About: ive had a couple of dog growing up in my childhood a sweet old black lab and a super crazy dingo.. in my free time after school and during summer i used to walk them, no amount of walking could satisfy my dingo.. id have her pull my bike to get all her energy out since we didnt have any closed in areas she could run off in.. ( i dont do this anymore! i realize its not very safe! she absolutely loved it for sure though) i love pups big and small old and energetic theyre all very unique and id love some new friends to get me out of the house. id ask you beforehand of course if youd be okay with them swimming, theres a pond i can bring them to after walking to cool off at. our backyard is fenced! i have two cats, so id like to know how your dog reacts around small creatures, if they cant be in contact i can always but them into a room while the dog is over. most likely theyd be outside! lots of shade and id keep em well hydrated and happy :3 i currently have been on a job hunt since what feels like forever, my schedule is very. very open.. since i dont have a car, drop off would be ideal, if your close enough to walk to i can do that too! weekends are the only time id be able to pick up your pooch my cats get their waters filled and cleaned almost daily, lots of love of course and are very spoiled. i dont have any dogs at the moment, so of course id love to chat about what youd expect and need for your lovely pup! im good with communication and friendly, special needs id be extra attentive to. im very good at remembering small things, though id still write em down incase!

I currently work full time at a daytrain facility for dogs, typically in the afternoons - So I am available mostly in the mornings and evenings ( after 6 pm)! **FOR HOUSE SITTING REQUESTS BOOKED LESS THAN 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE** -> I do charge an expedited service fee of $20 a night on top of normal house sitting fee! I am able to provide walks if needed (or if there is no fenced in yard), as well as special diets and medications as needed! I do prefer using my own slip lead for safety reasons in the event there is no fenced in yard, however I am flexible with this!

About: Loving animals runs in my family! My mother is an animal rescue volunteer and growing up we owned 6 cats and one dog. There were always strays and foster pets going in and out of our home. I absolutely love animals and understand them very well. I know how to take care of them and love them the way they want to receive love. About: I’ve had pets since I was about 4 years old, and am experienced with caring for cats and dogs. Any needs they have, I will take care of them all - from simple company when you're at work, to walks, giving meds and overnight stays! I have experience training puppies too, from potty training to the classic "stay", "sit", "come", "leave" etc. commands. I have a large dog myself so size of your pet is no issue. Anything you're unsure about, shoot me a message! I work full time at a school but am free weekdays after 2pm until around 10pm. On weekends I am free from Friday afternoon until Monday morning so I can do overnight stays too if needed. Depending on the care required, I will feed pets, give them meds, take them outside, play games/fetch/etc., brush them, empty litter boxes and so on. About: When I lived in my grandmothers house I would frequently house sit for relatives that rented out the bottom apartment. They have 2 senior dogs that needed a little extra attention and love, and a few house plants. I took care of them roughly 4 or 5 times over the years (not consecutively, so not quite an entire year of experience) so that their moms could go on vacation and recover from hospital stays. Since then, I have gone on to get a job at a Doggie Daycare facility out near Boston, where I am continuing to learn more about dog behavior and health. At my job we are trained on safety procedures & health concerns to be on the lookout for, and I have been trained to watch for body language changes. I am currently looking for something to fill my time during the beginning of the week. On weekends and later on in the week I commute to Boston for my job at the doggie daycare. I am also flexible with my weekend dates, so with enough notice I can move almost anything around. I can easily crate a dog if needed for safety of any kind. My position at the daycare is to constantly be on the lookout for changes in behavior and mood, so you can entrust that I will always have your pups safety as priority number one. I am also well versed in being able to reward the good behavior and ignore the bad (within reason) so as not to encourage attention seeking behavior, but still reward even the simplest well done tasks (sitting down/relaxing, playing safely).

About: Have owned dogs for over 20 years, pet sit for friends, family, and neighbors. I am over cautious and protective when it comes to animals, I'm also active so love walking dogs, throwing a ball for them, or taking them to our local lake for a swim. I have tons of patience for shy dogs, I have dealt with rescue dogs and know when to get close or not to an animal. I have never had an incident where I have had a dog become aggressive with me. I have taken my own dog to obedience school a few times and learned a few key trips for working with difficult dogs or puppies. I have taken care of puppies within the past three years and am comfortable with the extra care they require. I have a solid connection with our local vet and emergency animal hospital and am able to handle dogs who need shots or medications administered. I work from home and have several pets already needing care. Bathroom breaks, walks, ball throwing, catnip time, all of it already happens in my home. We have several pet fences within our home and a puppy proof first floor. If a pet is okay of leash then we walk them around our 4 acres throwing a ball or whatever the pet likes. If a pet is not okay off leash, then we just walk them on a leash on our land every 1.5 or 2 hours or as needed. Water bowls are everywhere, no chemicals are on site within reach of curious puppies, and no cars move very quickly on our driveway and everyone who does arrive at our home knows we have several pets and need to slow down. We have owned dogs for over 25 years and have never had any of our pets get injured.

About: I have owned and cared for a variety of dogs for my entire life. I have cared for larger groups of dogs of all kinds, and have cared for dogs with some special needs. I am very active and have extensive knowledge of dog friendly hikes in the area. My schedule is flexible, and I can generally make whatever your pet needs work!
