I have taken my own dog to obedience school a few times and learned a few key trips for working with difficult dogs or puppies. I have a solid connection with our local vet and emergency animal hospital and am able to handle dogs who need shots or medications administered. I work from home and have several pets already needing care. Bathroom breaks, walks, ball throwing, catnip time, all of it already happens in my home. We have several pet fences within our home and a puppy proof first floor. If a pet is okay of leash then we walk them around our 4 acres throwing a ball or whatever the pet likes. If a pet is not okay off leash, then we just walk them on a leash on our land every 1.5 or 2 hours or as needed. Water bowls are everywhere, no chemicals are on site within reach of curious puppies, and no cars move very quickly on our driveway and everyone who does arrive at our home knows we have several pets and need to slow down. We have owned dogs for over 25 years and have never had any of our pets get injured.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 5. I love them all! I have a horse named Olay that I board not at my house!) And dogs and a cat! I’m a first grade teacher so I have summer off starting 6/5! So will be able to do anytime at that point! For now I can do weekdays after 3pm and anytime weekends! About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

About: I have trained my dog since she was a puppy and love spending time outside with her. I love to stay active with the pups but also enjoy relaxing and providing pets. I have professional experience as well from working for a local veterinarian clinic. Currently I travel for home health/health care worker within the area. I am always a drive away from my apartment to give potty breaks and walks for my new furry friends. I also have experience with dog obedience as I have a friend who owns/runs a local business. I have many resources for all animals. Currently I travel to my clients. Most of them are 5 to 20 minutes away from my apartment. I am able to make my own hours to take your fur baby out and spend time with them. I will take your dog out on leash for potty breaks and walks. I am able to take your dog to areas that are safe to take your dog off leash to run energy such as dog parks if you approve. If I am coming to you, I would want to learn everything you do to make your pet comfortable. I have many years of experience with all sorts of pets and farm animals if that’s growing up with pets and learning. Or if it’s in the vet med field or on the farm. First off everyone if different and that’s important to know how to make your pet most comfortable while they are being cared for. Going by your schedule and routine is very important for your pet so they are happy and comfortable while their family is away. I am able to help in anyway you request.
