Maybe because I grew up with three mammoth Samoyeds and Malamutes, and shared my life with Max, my sweet Cavalier, until he passed. What I offer that's different: - Pick-up and drop-off for longer stays: For stays of a week or more, I'll pick up and drop off your dog anywhere within a 30 minute drive of Dalton, including Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington. One less thing to manage before your trip. My home is calm and quiet, with a large, fully fenced backyard on a peaceful street in Dalton. I work from home, so your dog has company through the day, plus walks, play, and plenty of affection. I follow your instructions to the letter so your dog's routine stays as close to home as possible, and you'll get photos and a quick update every day so you can relax and enjoy your trip. Also happy to reinforce any training your dog is working on like leash manners. How I work: Every new client starts with a meet and greet, about 30 minutes with a short walk together, so your dog and I can meet before the stay. About: I have owned a dog ever since I was about 4 or 5 years old. I’ve had anywhere from poodles, to a Maltese to a Malinois, & Pitbull :) I am currently working from home, making me available almost 24/7. My partner and I currently raising our puppy, Nemo. We are available to retrieving your mail, accept your packages, watering your plants and any other incidental services. We are a husband/wife team which is great because the pups are never left alone. I usually cook most of our meals. I vacuum, clean the bedding/towels, bathrooms & kitchen before we leave. We leave the house in order so that when you come back there is no mess or stress. We take our garbage and recycling with us. We also pick up after your pets, keeping the yard poop free. Our fee is $125/per night for up to 2 dogs and $150/night for 3-4 dogs. About: I’ve taken care of dog of many sizes and health conditions, I have had a cat for 9ish years and have cared for friend and families dogs for years. I am a student, I am relatively free but lots of work to do! I like to go on walks already! I am able to be flexible. How I work: Every new client starts with a meet and greet, about 30 minutes with a short walk together, so your dog and I can meet before the stay. (6ft tall wood privacy) I learn quickly and care about how you want your pet care of above all else. I’ve owned, cared for, and fostered many animals across numerous ages and breeds. I have availability on weekends and after 4pm most weekdays. I am flexible and don’t mind last minute requests as my job allows for a good amount of flexibility I can adjust for a specific situation. I reinforce good behaviors or redirect bad behaviors with positive methods. I will not place any animal in an overly stressful environment and will meet them where they are at.
