“Brooke took excellent care of my dog. When I picked her up from Brooke's house, she was relaxed and calm, not anxious and pulling like she usually is when I return from a trip. Leah really enjoyed her stay with Brooke and she came home tired and happy. I appreciated Brooke's notes and pictures while we were away. I would not hesitate to recommend her and would love to use her services again.”

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by. Pet care fits in my routine as I used to have a cat until recently. I care for pets with respect and integrity. Showing them love and care. Keeping them and the area around them clean. Accommodating to their needs by always keeping an eye for out for them.

She sent lots of pics and communicated very promptly. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. She loves dogs and ensures they are happy puppers during their stay.”

“Ericca took great care of my dad's dogs while he was in the hospital. She was able to schedule with me last minute, over a holiday weekend, and extended the boarding by a day too. She was friendly, flexible, and kind. Recommended!”

“This was a very positive experience. Awoo is great with the dogs and has a perfect arrangement for their safety and adventures. Gus stayed 8 days and it was satisfying to me that Awoo could indulge Gus’s activity level and wish to be outside with other dogs safely. Thank you, Awoo. If I ever need ‘Gus care’ again, I will definitely contact you.”

“This family provided my dog exceptional care! My dog came back even healthier than before lol. It is so nice that your beloved dog is getting amazing care and having fun while you are away. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

About: I have pet/house sat multiple times over the past several years for friends and family, and have worked in animal shelters and a local doggy daycare, from small critters like guinea pigs and ferrets, cats, and even large dog breeds. I also have 2 years experience volunteering for a local shelter in socialization and vet transport, 3 years experience working for a doggy daycare and boarding facility, and I currently work part time for another local animal shelter. I am an experienced owner of dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, guinea pigs, and more. I also have experience as a wedding dog handler, and would be happy to offer this service if requested so your furry companion can accompany you on your special day without any added stress. I currently work part time so I have lots of time to play with your pup, and hopefully can build savings towards a larger space to meet more people's needs! I am always looking to learn, grow, and provide better care for animals. Animal welfare is very important to me. At this point in time, due to the space I'm only able to accommodate smaller breeds that generally can get along with others. I do have a small fenced in yard, but I also have the bike trail and nearby hiking trails readily available, your dog will need to be on leash at all times when outside on walks/hikes, I do not provide "off-leash" trail experience as a safety precaution, thank you for your understanding! I am happy to provide pictures and updates of your pup whenever requested, please never be afraid to reach out!

I was nervous at first, but I could tell that Paloma adapted very easily to being in Court's space, and she always looked happy and relaxed in the photos. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life so I’m very comfortable with them. I currently have two of my own. Friends and family have relied on me for walks, feeds, and house sitting. I’m currently working part time because I’m in nursing school so I’m available week nights after 2/3 pm and most weekends! Boarding and house sitting availability are weekends as well. I have a partially fenced in yard. One of my dogs requires a leash when going out but the other one stays within the fence so I’m able to accommodate either. My two dogs are very friendly and love company. One of my dogs is on medication so I’m comfortable if your dog has those needs.

About: I have my own kitty who I pamper with wet and dry food everyday, yummy jerky treats and she’s spoiled with toys galore. I trim and file her nails since I have a sofa but she’s such a sweet girl she knows not to!! Love felines, really the amount of times I’ve walked into the local Home Depot and got sucked into hours of sitting on the floor to interact with them is, well, everytime I go in there. I really have no difficulty with cats and their varying personalities.

“Irene was great with Sadie. Sadie loved playing with Goldie and loved the friendly and warm reception she got. Sadie was given both play and rest time and really looked really comfortable with Irene when I picked her up.”

“We had such a great experience with Yenifer! Our dog, Rocky, absolutely enjoyed his stay—he came home happy and relaxed. Yenifer was incredibly kind and responsive, and even accommodated us on very short notice, which we really appreciated.”

“Jess took great care of my pup and sent me lots of pics and updates throughout the day! She has a sweet dog, and her dog and mine played together all day. Uva came home fed, healthy and tired! Thank you Jess!”

“Tetiana and her family have a loving, welcoming home and environment. We were met with smiles, shown around and we felt very comfortable leaving our pup. The communication during the booking process was great, as I had a number of questions. Tetiana was responsive and thorough. We found written Q&A better than a call. They were flexible with how we prefer care, food, exercise, rest, etc. We received nice pictures, videos and notes ... even though our stay was only 2 days. We will use Tetiana again when we have a need in the Berkshires, and I'd feel comfortable with longer if needed (and agreed upon). Each member of the family was fast friends with our dog.”

About: I am a working professional with 12+ years in both personal and professional animal care. I love animals so am pet sitting as a side job to my remote day job in medical writing. Personally, I have cared for my own and others’ dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles. I currently have 2 cats named Callie and Disco. Professionally, I have cared for horses, small & large reptiles, small exotic mammals, primates, and rodents in zoo, farm, and lab environments. I am comfortable with any size of dog or cat and have experience providing medications and injections to a variety of animals. I can do drop ins, walks, and overnight sitting, and am most available in the early morning and late evenings on weekdays and most weekends, as well as weekdays during lunch break. I am located in Stamford, VT and can travel within about a half hour radius of that. I also have experience jogging with more active dogs, including very large ones, and am happy to do that as well if that’s something your dog enjoys. I look forward to meeting and caring for your dog, cat, or other pet! My schedule varies but is usually flexible. I just need some advance notice to plan ahead for your pet. A week or more is ideal. I will always keep your pet safe in my home or yours. Please be aware I have 2 cats who will be in my home if the service you are requesting is at my home.
“Ericca was extremely communicative and flexible when it came to getting my dog dropped off and picked up! Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for someone with experience with GSDs!”

“Davis was a wonderful sitter for our pup, Beau. We left Beau with Davis, her partner, and her pups for a few hours while we went to a museum and Beau seemed perfectly content when we picked him up. Thanks, Davis!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs for family and friends. I have been house and dog sitting regularly for the same family twice a year since 2007 and through word of mouth have picked up many more clients that would happily give a reference if requested. I feed fish and small pets and I'm happy to hang out with cats, spiders, and snakes too. I work full time for a very flexible boss, so getting home to let pets out on breaks and lunch isn't an issue. Once home for the day I tend not to leave so pets will be well cared for and I'll be very present for them. I don't trust letting any pet off leash while outside unless in a fenced in yard. I'm overprotective to a fault. I have sat on a kitchen floor for 45 minutes letting a dog bark at me while getting used to having me around.
“Sandra was outstanding! She was very flexible and was great about communicating. Her sweet dog was very good with my skittish dog Minnie who didn’t bark once when meeting her ( she usually gets scared and barks when first meeting) Sandra gave me photos and info about her day and was very flexible about changing pick up time. She has a beautiful home and lots of area for walking and exploring that I’m sure was fun for the dogs. I highly recommend Sandra!!!”

“Bruno had a wonderful time at Kathleen's beautiful place! The fully-fenced in green space for the dogs was so peaceful I wanted to stay myself. Kathleen has a calming manner which the dogs respond well too. I am contemplating more trips to the Berkshires now that I know Bruno has a safe place where he will be happy and well taken care of while I spend time at Jacob's Pillow or museums. Thank you!”

I believe in open communication and send regular updates so you can have complete peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for. ( i dont do this anymore! i realize its not very safe! she absolutely loved it for sure though) i love pups big and small old and energetic theyre all very unique and id love some new friends to get me out of the house. id ask you beforehand of course if youd be okay with them swimming, theres a pond i can bring them to after walking to cool off at. our backyard is fenced! i have two cats, so id like to know how your dog reacts around small creatures, if they cant be in contact i can always but them into a room while the dog is over. most likely theyd be outside! lots of shade and id keep em well hydrated and happy :3 i currently have been on a job hunt since what feels like forever, my schedule is very. very open.. since i dont have a car, drop off would be ideal, if your close enough to walk to i can do that too! weekends are the only time id be able to pick up your pooch my cats get their waters filled and cleaned almost daily, lots of love of course and are very spoiled. i dont have any dogs at the moment, so of course id love to chat about what youd expect and need for your lovely pup! im good with communication and friendly, special needs id be extra attentive to. im very good at remembering small things, though id still write em down incase!
About: My name is Julia and I would love to care for your pets! There was never a time in my life where I wasn't surrounded by animals. I grew up with 2 dogs (Gatsby and Baby) and I currently have two cats (Snicky and Tango) who live with my mom. I frequently care for my grandmother's pets (1 dog and 3 cats) as well. I also have experience with house and babysitting! I know how difficult it may be to leave your pets with someone unfamiliar, but I will do my very best to make you and your pets as comfortable as possible! I would be more than happy to send pictures/videos of your pets to show you how well they're doing! I look forward to hanging out with your pets! I will be available from now (July 23rd) to the end of summer (August 28th). This is my only commitment so I have an incredibly flexible schedule! I do not offer boarding at my home, but I will do whatever I possibly can to ensure that your loved one(s) 😸🐶 are as comfortable as possible in their homes/neighborhoods! I am an incredibly cautious and thorough person. Your pets will get nothing but my undivided attention.
About: I've taken care of animals all shapes and sizes since I can remember. Growing up my only job was to make sure my fur babies were fed and loved unconditionally. I would go to a friend of the family and help her with her pit bull and (several) greyhounds. I've worked at kennels from a young age and have had my own share of birds, mice, fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs, and chinchillas as well as dogs and cats. The home has only been without pets for around 7 months now and I would love to dedicate some of my time to people who need genuine love and care for their fur babies! I do not have a job, I am around all of the time! I can be there any time day or night! You name it. I do not have a fenced in yard, however all of the neighborhood doggies are very very friendly. I have a decent sized yard and live next to multiple fields and grassy areas.
About: I bring a unique level of structure, energy, and reliability to pet care through my experience as a college coach. My daily work revolves around building routines, paying attention to small details, and making sure individuals are supported and performing at their best — and I carry that same approach into caring for dogs. I am highly dependable and organized, so you can trust that your dog’s schedule, feeding routine, and exercise needs will be handled consistently. I also bring an active lifestyle, which is great for dogs that need engaging walks, playtime, and attention. What sets me apart is the level of care and awareness I provide. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any changes, and I prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident while you are away. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for at all times My schedule is currently wide open following the end of the swim season, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care throughout the week and weekends. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. I create a safe, comfortable environment where your pet feels secure and cared for at all times. I pay close attention to their needs, keep a watchful eye during walks, and always make sure you are updated so you can relax knowing they are in good hands.
About: I'm the person my friends and family call upon to take care of their pets when they go on vacation, or even in an emergency. I think this is because I grew up on a small farm and have loved animals since I was a little girl. I can house sit, take your pet for a walk (even your cat, mine is leash trained and loves it), feed your fur family member, or let them out to relieve themselves. The more information you can tell me about your pet the better, I want to take the best care for them! I'm flexible. Contact me and let me know your expectations and I'll do my best to meet them. I have a reliable vehicle as well. Building a relationship is key between you as well as your pet and me. Let's talk about how I can best care for your fur friend and then I can let you know how I can meet their care needs. I think play is essential (as long as your pet is able to) and I think spending time with them is key while you are away. I'll be sure to send you pictures too!

About: 5 years ago my family had gotten a puppy (jack Russell, beagle, terroir, Pitt bull mix). My puppy is a big baby, and is scared of everything. From flies to the wind. But he also can be a bit mean and over protective about his belongings. I was able to find ways around him being overly protective about his things. I was the main person to get up early to take him out in the mornings, throughout the day, and at night. We then a year later got his sister from a different litter from the same mom and dad. She is the complete opposite. She is a loving dog. She always wants to cuddle and loves to play and have all the attention to her. Since I was little I’ve always loved dogs. I love playing with them and walking with them. I’m a full time nanny but have a lot of free time on my hands while the kids are at school and their activities. I’m looking for some occasional work and maybe part time opportunities. I would always make sure the pet has food and water. Make sure the environment around them is safe. And make sure to attend their needs in any way that is needed.

I recently quit my job for my well being and I’m taking a break so I’d love to fill my time hanging out with animals! “This was our first time leaving our Dottie with a sitter, and Tetiana took the most thoughtful and thorough care of her. I can’t recommend Tetiana enough, and will absolutely use her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Maura, a high school English teacher who has lived and worked in the Berkshires for 19 years. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals of all kinds, and my goal is simple: to provide safe, personalized care so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your pets. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, overnight pet care, and small farm sitting throughout the Berkshires. Whether you need someone to check on a new puppy, care for a senior pet, or manage a small farm while you’re away, I’d love to help. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, rats, large aquariums, horses, cows, goats, and pigs. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have experience managing an equine boarding facility with 19 horses on the property and am comfortable handling a variety of animal personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I am experienced with: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Oral medication administration • Basic trick training and potty training • High-energy dogs • Shy or anxious animals • Horses and livestock requiring daily care routines I also offer red light therapy sessions for pets, both small and large, upon request. Coming soon: private in-home boarding! I am currently creating a private pet guest house on my property that opens directly into a fully fenced backyard. My goal is to provide a low-stress alternative to traditional kennels by boarding only one pet family at a time. This allows your pets to receive individualized attention in a quiet, secure environment without the stress of sharing space with unfamiliar animals. If this is something you’d be interested in, feel free to reach out for details. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave beloved pets behind when traveling. That’s why I prioritize communication, reliability, and personalized care. I provide regular photo updates and am always happy to check in while you’re away so you can feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether you’re visiting the Berkshires for a weekend, heading out for a day of skiing or sightseeing, or leaving town for a longer trip, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about services, availability, or your pet’s specific needs. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I’m always running errands for my pets, spending time with my pets, or I’m at the barn with my horse. Taking care of the needs of my own pets is one of my top priorities, and I can easily work your furry friend into my schedule! It’s important that we discuss your specific expectations and needs as a pet owner/parent to ensure that you get the best care! Every pet owner and pet is different and I want to tailor my approach to what your pet is used to and comfortable with.
“Lyndsay and her family gave our pups the time of their lives! They loved snuggling with the kids and playing in the backyard. Lyndsay was also great about sending photo updates throughout the stay since we were missing our pups! Will book again.”
“Robin and John always take such amazing care of my little Fred. Her dogs are so gentle with him and he always has plenty of outside time to run wild. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to watch him!!”
