About: I've been in love with animals all my life. They were deep childhood friends and I feel a special bond with them. I grew up on a hobby farm and in 4-H. I am now a retired RN, and I'm enjoying being surrounded by animals again. I have taken care of domesticated cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters and gerbils, guinea pigs, and birds. Any animal needing help or love grabs my heart. It is my goal to give this love to your cherished companion when you are gone. I also know how hard it can be for you to be separated from your pet, and am very conscientious about sending updates, pictures/videos and communicating anything else that needs to be communicated. I am working part time, and have afternoons, evenings and weekends available. I am hoping to build up a regular client base and have more time available soon. I live in a small home so I prefer to take care of your loved ones in your home. I am able to overnight: house-sitting, cleaning, and pet-sitting. I have plenty of time for walks, check-ins, and play-time on the days I am working, and welcome all-day care in your home on my time off. I am situationally aware and keep an eye on the environment at all times when walking your pup and playing, as well as on any potential escape routes or hazardous items if eaten or drunk. I am very respectful of your pet's space and routine and take my time to sense in to what will make them feel the most loved, the safest, and the most comfortable while you are gone. I currently share my home with my two rescues: Princess, a calm and loving 10-year-old lab mix, and Ross, a playful almost 3-year-old dachshund mix. My late German Shepherd, Thor, was with me for 7 wonderful years and passed in October of 2024 at 10 years old. Since 2021, I’ve been active in dog rescue and fostering, caring for countless pups including senior dogs, puppies, and even Amish puppy mill rescues who needed patience, rehab, and lots of love. My experience as a sitter only spans about a year altogether, but as a mother of human children, I understand the responsibility that comes with monitoring and caring for any member of someone else’s family. Animals are never excluded in that💙 I have two children, one of which is in daycare and the other in grade school. During the summer months, my availability would be from 7AM to 5PM, as I’d have to pick my youngest up from daycare by 5:30PM. From August to May, my availability would be 7:30AM - 5PM, as this would grant me time to drop my oldest off to school before beginning a day’s work. At the moment, I can only offer care in the home of clients, as my landlord does not allow pets to be present on the premises. Having said this, I am flexible in the number of services I am willing to offer in the home of clients. I want each individual to feel confident in the care their pet is receiving while they are away. I will do what I can to ensure this is the case 💙

I am currently training to be a dog groomer on weekday mornings. I’m available for drop ins and walks after 1pm. On weekends I’m not out of town I would love to hang out with your babies as well! I bring water on walks to help them with the crazy summer temperatures and weather and am able to easily read their body language to make sure they are healthy and happy.

I think fur babies are the sweetest thing because although they’re only with you for a little of their lives, you’re with them for all of theirs. I currently have a Shih Tzu & tuxedo cat of my own named Marble who are big babies. I currently work remotely Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-4:30 PM so I’ll be home just about the whole day with your furry ones! Potty breaks, walks, and movie nights here won’t be a problem! I have a large yard next to my house so potty breaks won’t be a problem. Also I have an adult fixed Shih Tzu that loves naps, belly rubs, and playing to keep your fur one company!
