About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and I've spent decades caring for them through virtually every stage of life—from energetic puppies learning their first routines to senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra patience and a little more help getting through their day. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels, including my own dogs and those of friends and family. I'm comfortable with puppies and the additional supervision, consistency and frequent potty breaks they require, as well as older dogs who may need shorter walks, more rest, mobility accommodations or simply a quieter environment. I also have experience caring for dogs with medical conditions and special needs, including following an owner's established care instructions and medication schedule. I understand that these dogs may require closer observation and that even small changes in behavior, appetite, mobility or energy can be important. I take that responsibility seriously and will always follow the care routine you provide for your dog. I've spent years working with my own dogs on basic obedience and good manners and have helped friends and family with their dogs as well. I'm comfortable reinforcing established commands and routines such as sit, stay, come, wait, leave it and polite household behavior. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, I'm patient and consistent and enjoy reinforcing the good habits owners are already teaching at home. I'm retired and home much of the time, which allows me to provide something that's difficult to replicate in a traditional boarding environment: time, attention and companionship. I intentionally keep my boarding low-volume so that the dogs staying with me receive individual attention rather than becoming one of many animals in a busy facility. And then there's the setting. The Happy Acre — Private Dog Retreat offers approximately one acre of private outdoor space where dogs can run, play and explore, along with a comfortable home environment where they can relax and be part of the household. My goal is simple: when you're away, I want your dog to receive the same kind of attentive, loving care I'd want someone to provide for my own dogs. I'm retired and spend much of my time at home, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. Unlike a sitter who may be away at work for eight or ten hours, I'm generally available throughout the day for outdoor play, potty breaks, feeding, companionship and individual attention. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to each dog's normal routine as much as possible. I also intentionally limit the number of dogs I accept so that every guest receives plenty of my time and attention. At The Happy Acre — Private Dog Retreat, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable home-away-from-home where every dog receives individual attention and is treated as part of the household. My spacious backyard is fully enclosed by a secure 6-to-8-foot privacy fence, giving dogs plenty of room to run, sniff, explore and play safely. A doggie door provides direct access from the house to the backyard, so my furry guests can go outside for a potty break, stretch their legs or simply enjoy some fresh air whenever they choose. I'm home much of the time and stay nearby to supervise and join in the fun—because playing with dogs is genuinely one of the great joys in my life. I intentionally keep my boarding low-volume so I can closely supervise the dogs in my care and give each one plenty of personal attention. I prefer to meet new dogs beforehand whenever possible to make sure they're comfortable with me, my home and my own dogs before their first overnight stay. Every dog is different, so I follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, medications, sleeping arrangements, exercise and established routines. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy level and overall well-being throughout their stay. Nothing is more important to me than their safety, comfort and happiness while they're in my care. Whether your dog wants to spend the day running and playing outside, relaxing indoors, following me around the house or cuddling by my side, I want The Happy Acre to feel less like boarding and more like their own private country retreat. You can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is safe, loved, well cared for—and having a pretty wonderful vacation of their own.

About: I have 20+ years in caring for someone elses loved ones. Growing up, I have always had a dog family member and I absolutely love animals. I’ve never had a day without a pet in my life. I have a spacious fenced in yard, that your pet can run and play. I am home all hours of the day and nigh and can honor any needs your pet requires. Your best friend is my best friend in this house! I am home all day! I am able to follow all routines your pet may have. We can play fetch or snuggle, whichever your furry friend needs! Although I do require a 24 hour request to prepare for sitting. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priority. I have a fenced in yard, with plenty of room to play or couches they can lounge on. Whichever they prefer, I have both!
About: If your pup is ready to fetch a ball, go for a walk or lounge around and watch tv, I’ll be ready to accommodate any needs. I prefer to care of fewer pets (one or two) per day and also while boarding, that way, I can give more individual attention to your pup. About: Cute storyyy: I was on the back road home in Bush and happen to see something very tiny, but also a huge lifted truck that hurried and stopped. I didn’t know what it was. I just know it was tiny and seemed like it didn’t know what to do or where to go so I saved it. Poor baby, it was a black kitten with a white cross on her chest, and her eyes weren’t opened yet. I don’t think she even knew what she was because next thing you know she’s on my shoulder, the smallest little parrot ever! Well Nova is what I had named her, and I can say I’m beyond thankful for our family friend that took her in, spoiling her, and giving her not just an amazing home but the best older fur sibling and family! Nova is definitely something special!💜
About: I grew up on a farm, had lots of dogs, cats, and all sorts of other animals to care for. As an adult, I’ve had quite a few cats, and I’m the current owner of three small dogs. I am currently working from home. Travel once a month. So I have plenty of time to check on the babies, play with them outside, and give them occasional treats. I have a fenced in yard that is designed for small dogs, a large dog would likely jump over. But it works great for the small dogs, plenty of shade, plenty of grass. And in the house, I have an abundance of pet beds, and blankies.

She gave him his insulin injections and said he ate well. She had nothing but good to say about his stay. She was very easy to work with, and was flexible with both arrival and pick up times. She continued to reassure me that Tank was well taken care of, and to enjoy my trip! I would definitely use her again, and would recommend her to anyone needing a caregiver for their pet!”
About: I've been a dog and cat mother for most of my life. I've cared for other animals for sometimes weeks at a time with no injuries! You can trust me with your most loved family members and with your home if needed. I can be available as needed by your pet. I am not currently working. I am happy to drive up to 60 miles each way. I would appreciate an additional gas allowance. If I keep your animal in my home, you should know that I have a Rottweiler. She is very friendly and loves other animals, but she's never been exposed to an aggressive animal. I have a cat who does not like other animals, but I will have no problems keeping her separate from your animal. I have a fenced in backyard and I enjoy walking over 10,000 steps a day so your animal has options for exercise with me.

About: I have a love for all animals, as a child growing up I have always wanted to be a Veterinarian Assistant. I began doing foster care for dogs in 2020 after doing this for a while I felt a much greater need to help even more. I began my own dog rescue in 2020. I walk, play, love and care for each animal. I have rescued and rehomed several dogs to safe and loving homes. I treat them as if they were my own. The unbreakable bond between pets and their people is something that will forever warm my heart! About: I've been a dog and cat mother for most of my life. I've cared for other animals for sometimes weeks at a time with no injuries! You can trust me with your most loved family members and with your home if needed. I can be available as needed by your pet. I am not currently working. I am happy to drive up to 60 miles each way. I would appreciate an additional gas allowance. If I keep your animal in my home, you should know that I have a Rottweiler. She is very friendly and loves other animals, but she's never been exposed to an aggressive animal. I have a cat who does not like other animals, but I will have no problems keeping her separate from your animal. Which means they can go as they please anywhere in my home, they can sleep with me or they can sleep on the couches or their beds, but If you prefer your baby in a kennel at night, I will respect your wishes. I only have one kennel designated just for that.. You will receive lots of pictures/videos & updates to the point where it may be a little annoying but you’ll never have to text me first checking on them. I give them lots of love! I stay home everyday with the babies, so they will get all of the attention they need. The night before pick up/drop offs, I do give them a bath, each one no matter what. I can pick your dog up or drop them off, I have never had an issues with any dogs fighting, running off or accidents. I am VERY experienced in RUNNERS, the ones who wait for you to open the door to escape. Never had a runner succeed in getting away. I can clip your babies nails & give them a little trim if need be free of charge. If your dog needs medication I can administer it to them at the times needed. Prozac, prednisone, insulin, antibiotics ect, I’m familiar with all. About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and I've spent decades caring for them through virtually every stage of life—from energetic puppies learning their first routines to senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra patience and a little more help getting through their day. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels, including my own dogs and those of friends and family. I'm comfortable with puppies and the additional supervision, consistency and frequent potty breaks they require, as well as older dogs who may need shorter walks, more rest, mobility accommodations or simply a quieter environment. I also have experience caring for dogs with medical conditions and special needs, including following an owner's established care instructions and medication schedule. I understand that these dogs may require closer observation and that even small changes in behavior, appetite, mobility or energy can be important. I take that responsibility seriously and will always follow the care routine you provide for your dog. I've spent years working with my own dogs on basic obedience and good manners and have helped friends and family with their dogs as well. I'm comfortable reinforcing established commands and routines such as sit, stay, come, wait, leave it and polite household behavior. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, I'm patient and consistent and enjoy reinforcing the good habits owners are already teaching at home. I'm retired and spend much of my time at home, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. Unlike a sitter who may be away at work for eight or ten hours, I'm generally available throughout the day for outdoor play, potty breaks, feeding, companionship and individual attention. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to each dog's normal routine as much as possible. About: If your pup is ready to fetch a ball, go for a walk or lounge around and watch tv, I’ll be ready to accommodate any needs. I prefer to care of fewer pets (one or two) per day and also while boarding, that way, I can give more individual attention to your pup. I have a 6 year old Golden Retriever named Charlie who would love to show your pup around our large fenced in yard that offers a safe and fun place to play and explore.
