About: I've been pet sitting since college and have cared for dogs with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. As a medical student, I understand how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pet while you're away. I have an AKC Canine Good Citizen certified dog who is truly part of my family, and I care for every pet as if they were my own. While I'm not an AKC-certified trainer, I have experience with obedience training and recently fostered and trained a dog from the ground up, helping them build confidence and good manners before finding their forever home. Although I'm not a veterinarian, my medical training has made me comfortable following medication schedules, recognizing when something seems off, and paying close attention to details. I know how important it is to notice changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, or mobility, and I'll always communicate any concerns promptly. Although I don’t currently have my own yard my appartment had a beautiful dog park! My dog and I go on two walks a day rain or shine. If it’s summer and we go later than 8am I have him wear boots to protect him from hot pavement. I like to practice training with him and taking him to the dog park.

About: I’ve been a life long dog lover, and I’ve owned dogs for most of my life! In college, I worked with waterfowl training, obedience training, and agility training for all breeds of dogs. I currently have the MOST dog-friendly Collie named Millie, and she is such a blast. I usually walk her everyday, so I’d love to let your pup tag along as we walk to the dog park and back. If your dog is more of the loner-type, that’s totally fine! I’ll take them on a nice, long, quiet walk of contemplation, so they can ponder about whatever happened to that old squeak toy they haven’t seen in years! And if you’re going away, I’ll be here to walk, play, check-in on or stay, and make sure your furry friends never stray;) I’m currently not working, unless you consider crafting a full-time job! I primarily walk in the mornings and evenings, but once the weather cools off, I’m free pretty much all day for dog walking. I will never walk dogs when it’s dark… my eyes are too bad, and my anxiety’s too high for that! As far as stopping in, If I’m in town, I’ll be free. I can stop in as many times as you need:) I will almost always walk dogs on base at Fort Polk, and if not there, then at Honor Field. When entering clients home, I’m always friendly, inviting, and cautious because I’m in their territory, not mine. I let the dog initiate, take my time, and watch their cues (ears, tail, sounds). I prefer to meet and get associated with a dog at least once with their owner before picking them up or dropping in on them. I always stick to whatever schedule the owner has for their dog, and try to mimic their routine as best as I can. This is usually easier on the dog, and they feel less like “who are you, and why are you here?”
