About: I have 4 dogs of my own and one cat. I have cared for pets as long as I can remember. My dogs are all house trained and crate trained they also are well mannered and like other pets. I can house train and also train dogs to do certain tricks. I'm 27 years old and own my own home with a large fenced in back yard. About: I volunteer on my off time at my local dog rescue. I also have fostered many dogs in the past year for Caddo shelter and Parish Paws. I grew up around dogs and own two of my own who are always willing to play with other dogs. If there’s ever a concern of aggressive I separate the dogs when let out for potty breaks or in the house. About: My own girl, Minerva, recently passed away (in her late teens). She was with me for over half my life, but I was there for all of hers. She was a squirrelly girl, so no cat is too weird. About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats since I was a child--I actually grew up on a farm so I'm a true & long-time animal lover. I have 2 large breed dogs and a "senior" cat (she doesn't act like it) who I adore with my whole heart. I recently had to take my German Shepherd in for emergency surgery, as he developed Bloat, so I'm looking to make money to help pay for the surgery, as it was incredibly expensive. About: I know that you have many options for care. I have been working through Rover since early 2020 and would like to share some information about myself. I made the decision to take an early retirement after twenty-two years at Northwestern State University when my husband and I relocated to Shreveport and both of our children went off to college. This move gave me the opportunity to pursue a job that I ❤️ and am passionate about. I believe dogs and cats are the most awesome of Earth's creatures, and, in my eyes, are such precious members of our families. I am a long-time dog and cat owner and currently a parent to three rescued dogs. I also was an active volunteer and Board Member for Natchitoches Hope for Paws dog rescue from 2012 to 2022. During this time, I worked with 150+ rescued dogs at the site and through the foster program. I found so much pleasure and enjoyment working as a rescue volunteer and wanted to expand my love and care of these most precious of animals. As a volunteer, I cleaned kennels, administered medications, walked and played with dogs, worked with basic training techniques and leash walking, and evaluated and monitored dog behaviors and personalities for proper socialization and integration with other dogs including aggressive and high anxiety dogs. I treat all animals as if they are my own. I love all fur babies big, small, young, and old. I am available at any time and since I am retired, I am able to provide drop-in services, walks, and overnight care (for socialized and house trained dogs who are current on all shots and flea/tick preventives), including medication administration and care for aggressive and high-anxiety dogs. I have no problems with cleaning up accidents and will ensure that your home stays clean of messes. I am also a firm believer in sending pictures while you are away so you can be comforted that your dog (or cat) is receiving nothing but the upmost care and love while you are away. No requested service is to great or small! I would welcome the opportunity to help you with care needs for your fur babies! Since I am retired, I am available at any time for drop-ins, walks, and overnight boarding (socialized and house trained only). I am also able to work around flexible and changing schedules. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since a little toddler my family has always been big on having our little farm of pets and I wouldn’t ask for it any other way. So, about 10 years ago, I started working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility and it was the experience of a lifetime! It's easily the coolest job I've ever had. I've gotten to learn a lot about pet care. It's a special feeling to get to get to know and watch pups grow up. I worked under an animal behaviorist in DC for several months before ending up down here in the Bossier area! I’m looking forward to building another sweet community of pets🥰 At home I have an ancient pup named Bella! She is an 18 year old beagle who really just wants to hang out. About: I volunteer on my off time at my local dog rescue. I also have fostered many dogs in the past year for Caddo shelter and Parish Paws. About: Almost every firefighter has a part time job, so I chose this as mine because I love animals and I couldn’t think of any better way to relieve stress from work than to love on dogs all day! I have a pretty large fenced in backyard, although the house and furniture is open to your pups as well. I have two dogs of my own that love playing with new friends, but if your dog is shy of others I have a dog room in my house for my own dogs and another room for new friends to hang out as well. I also live close to the Brownlee Park, so if you would like your pup to go on a walk or run I would be more than happy to take them out!
