I will provide a safe, clean, welcoming home environment for your furry pet family members. I have a fenced in backyard. I also live on a cul-de-sac so I can walk the pets safely. We are also on 8 acres so they will have plenty of space to play and explore. I provide regular photos and communication so that you have peace of mind while you are away. We would love to care for your furry family member at Serenity acres. Being a retired couple, we take care of our two dogs and our horse. We love being outdoors. Your pet will get a lot of attention and outside fun. Pets are taken out on a regular basis to explore our farm. We will keep them on leash at all times when they are not in a fenced area.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life including small to large dogs. I am not a professional trainer but I have experience in training my own fur babies. My work is flexible where I can drop in for visits, take them out walking or just spend time playing with them. I can also board them, so that you can have a stress free vacation. They will have a fenced yard to play in and two buddies to play with. I will send lots of pictures and updates. To ensure safety, please have all vaccinations up to date and send me a copy, if possible. I also like to schedule a meet and greet prior to booking to ensure both parties are comfortable with the booking. It will also be an opportunity to address any concerns. About: My animal experience goes way back to childhood. At the age of 7 I started in 4h, learning about animal husbandry. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at the local riding stables. “We will 100% come back to Melody for dog sitting again. Finn and Echos stay with Melody went great. I was worried because my dogs aren't the calmest and best behaved but she said the did very well. We stayed for a bit so that we could make sure our German Shepherd and Husky would get along with the other dogs and Melody was so accommodating, introducing each dog slowly and calmly. I also want to point out that Melody has a 5' fence which is one of the reasons we decided to go with her as our sitter. Finn has been known to jump shorter fences but I knew he would be safe in her yard. Another great thing was all of the puppy friends they got to play with while they were there! About: Although we currently only have one female dog, we have nearly always had 2 large dogs (Chesapeake bay retrievers) for the past 20 years. We lost our big guy in April 2024 and haven't had it in us to get another. So, we are ready to share our home and yard with your pup! I currently stay home with my two year old human and 7 year old dog. So, your dog will rarely ever be alone while boarded. We mostly just leave for my older kids sports events. I have a fully fenced acre for a backyard. It's a dog's paradise! I also have a female 7yo Chesapeake who is good with other dogs. I can keep dogs separate as needed. We have fostered before and had 0 issues. We generally keep dogs separated until they have proven compatible. She sleeps with our son. So, your dog could sleep with me. We have three kids, ages 2, 11, and 13. So, if you have a kid loving dog, we want to watch them!

“We have been using Isaac recently to walk our two lab puppies a bit here and there to get them more socialized and used to walking on a leash. I was a bit hesitant at first handing over my babies to someone we didn't know, especially because they can be a handful at times, but Isaac has really put me at ease. He is so patient with them and shows a caring attitude. One of our babies can be a bit rambunctious sometimes and Isaac has shown his willingness to work with her when needed. And again, his patience! He takes time to try and reinforce commands while on the walks, makes me feel comfortable handing over my babies to him. About: My love for animals came very young with two family cats, and later also a dog, and has continued into my adulthood, now with my three cats Opal, Basil, and Juniper. I have experience with both puppies and kittens, having helped raised both from just a couple weeks old. I enjoy being a part of your pets routine and love when they are excited for my arrival. I want to make sure they feel loved and safe with me, and know that it will always be a fun time with me around. I know cats are typically more hesitant to trust, but I am willing to take the time to gain it to make them feel safe while I am over. I am also familiar with medicating dogs and cats (either pill or liquid oral meds). I have a fairly open calendar so just let me know what works best to continue your pet’s routine so i can do my best to maintain their normal feeding, walking, and activity schedule! I live in a nice, pet friendly community. Any time your pet is outside I will be with them with their leash or harness on if requested.
