“I am so thankful to have found Melody. My dog, Opal, took to her right away, and she LOVES being over there for daycare and overnight stays. The times are super flexible, and I’m thankful to have someone that loves my dog as much as I do! I get pictures and videos on how Opal is doing throughout the day. Definitely the best dog sitter in Lex!”

“Elena was amazing with our fur babies. She sent tons of sweet pictures and kept us updated on our girls while they were in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would rebook her for our next vacation.”

“Madison was amazing!!! Ranger is a very energetic pup and he had the best time with her and her dogs. She worked with all my requests and sent tons of pictures. I would give 10 stars if I could!!! I will definitely recommend her.”

“Kathy was amazing. Our two little monsters felt so loved and cared for when staying with her. She provided updates on how they were doing throughout the week and had a blast playing with her.”
“Jennifer is so thorough, and she and her dog have provided a delightful environment for Lulu to play, rest and enjoy herself! Lulu highly recommends her! (Told me so herself!)”

“Absolutely amazing. She kept me updated even when I couldn’t respond. She responds very quickly and she’s beyond nice and generous. 10/10 would recommend her. I wouldn’t want to trust anyone else with my dog after leaving him here. Thank you Natasha you’re amazing.”

“Sandra was a wonderful sitter for our German Shepherd. Pictures and videos and updates everyday, and our dog—who’s usually anxious when in a new place—took to her right away. We’re very picky about pet sitters, but I have no qualms about using Sandra again, and I plan to.”

“Ann was great with my little dog. She was easy to communicate with and answered my questions quickly. I was surprised to see Ann had 2 large dogs of her own. That’s on me, I should have asked if she had large dogs. I got really nervous about leaving Scruffy because his back has been injured a couple of times by larger dogs. Ann was very reassuring and took good care of Scruffy. She also sent lots of photos to help easy my mind. I will be using Ann again.”

“Jason and Brooke welcomed Winston as one of their own. They communicated very effectively and timely. Winston had some stomach issues while we were away and they were so patient and kept us informed on his tummy stuff. We will definitely rebook again!”

“Erin is great! She sent me updates every day and pictures of my dog. She responds promptly to all messages. She is very kind and caring person. My dog was happy and healthy when I picked her up. I would highly recommend Erin.”

“Selena was absolutely wonderful! So many pictures and updates. We were so happy with all the continuous communication throughout our dogs stay with her. She is so nice and the dogs had plenty of outdoor time and play with her friendly dog! Would definitely recommend!”

“We went out of town for a week leaving our one year old Bulldog with Nef. He came to meet our dog and even accommodated transportation. My dog is very picky on who she likes however it was love from first sight. This was the first time we had to board our dog and now we have our go to person for life. Thanks Nef for the outstanding service!”

“Dina was wonderful with Charlie. She was in contact with us everyday giving us updates on what Charlie was doing and even included pictures. Her daily updates made our trip even better knowing he was enjoying his stay.”

“Audrey and Samuel are amazing they always take great care of my pups! Our dogs are a handful but they love having them and the dogs always get so excited when we turn down their street!”

“I really appreciate the effort she made to socialize with my cat even if he didn't want to come out from under the bed. He was starting to open up to her by the end.”

“This was my first time using rover and having someone besides a family member care for my senior cat so I was very nervous about how she would do. Rachael took great care of her and gave me plenty of updates and pictures! Bella did wonderful! Would definitely book with Rachael again!”

“Heather has taken care of my babies multiple times now and I cannot tell you how much of a relief it is to know that she is taking care of them while I’m gone. I love all the details and photos in the updates from her. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure my pets were cared for.”

“Alicia absolutely cares about my cats!! Her work ethic is way above average. Follows directions precisely. And most important, she takes the time to treat each of our 3 cats as individuals,, understanding their different personalities n needs. She respects our cats, house and us, giving us updates and keeping communication with us at all times. I feel complete peace of mind leaving my cats and house under her care. She gets an A+”

“Cindy was reliable, responsive and took good care of our house full of cats while we were away. She sent pics and updates and even did a few dishes that were in the sink. We would have her sit again. Thanks Cindy!”

“Izabella was hands down the best rover sitter I have used so far and I have used this app for 5 plus years now. She was on time followed all my instructions for my difficult pup. This was the first vacation where I didn’t feel the need to constantly check my phone worrying about my pup. I ended up going on vacation during the January 2026 snow storm we had. I got stuck in Texas for an additional two days because all planes were grounded we finally decided to drive the 17 hours home. The whole time she was easing my mind adding xtra visits to make sure my pup was taking care of while I was stuck. I even had a scare with my pipes in this weather and her and her dad were able to come to my house at like 6am and make sure Kaia was okay! She went above and beyond making sure me and my pup were good. I will never use another sitter except for her! I will never forget her kindness and willingness to help me!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—I’ve never known a home without a dog. Growing up, I had the opportunity to care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic Jack Russell Terriers to loyal Labrador Retrievers and loving Pitbulls. I was always involved in their daily care, whether it was taking them on walks, feeding them, or making sure they stayed up to date with vet visits. My love for animals has only grown over the years. Two years ago, I adopted my dog, Russell, from a shelter, and he has been my loyal companion ever since. I also have two cats, Chief and Reid, who keep life interesting and have taught me even more about pet care. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I love making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. As a part-time Graduate Assistant, I have plenty of flexibility throughout the day to care for and play with your pups, especially on the weekends! As a dog owner myself, I know what it's like to worry about your pet while gone. I will ensure pets are fed, exercised, and groomed according to their needs. I provide loving companionship, and follow specific care instructions for each pet’s well being and comfort.

About: I've literally taken care of cats forever. Plus, I have three of my own cats who were all strays and had several medically complex issues upon bringing them home, so I am well versed with proper treatment of even the sickest of fur babes!
“Selah did a fantastic job. This was our first time using rover and she did not disappoint. She kept me well informed of messes, updates and earned our dogs trust. She even picked up our trash cans when the wind blew them over. Highly recommend using her to care for your fur baby.”

About: With your pets permission, they will be loved on. Pets in my care will be treated like family. I have been around pets of all kinds my whole life and have pet sat for over 5 years! The only days of the week where I’m out for more than 3 hours is Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am at home otherwise, the more time I have with your pet, the better! I do have two cats, so they will likely be separated from your pets in a boarding situation, but I live next to a dog park so it is easily accessible for pups. I have many cat toys and treat varieties as well.

“I recently moved from NY to KY and was in need of someone to help care for my four dogs. I had spoken to many people and wasn’t comfortable with anyone as I had my prior dog walker in Ny for over 10 years. I found Tanika and she and I hit it off right away: she was super accommodating to my ever changing schedule. I was nervous to have my one rescue dog meet anyone because he could be unpredictable. Tanika came armed with treats and was relaxed and so easy going with all the dogs that he took to her first!!!! Tanika had been above and beyond amazing . She helps with my dogs that have medical issues and she is always there when and if I need her. She takes care of my dogs as if they were her own and I’ve never had to worry about them when I’m away. She is an absolute god send and I highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every cat like they’re my own. I understand that every cat has a different personality and comfort level, so I’m patient with shy cats, playful with social ones, and attentive to senior or anxious pets. I’m comfortable administering medications when needed and paying close attention to routines, behavior changes, and overall well-being. I also genuinely care about cleanliness — especially deep-cleaning litter boxes and keeping your home smelling fresh and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is to make both cats and their owners feel relaxed, safe, and cared for from the moment I walk in the door. 🐾

“Emily was AMAZING! She looked after my 10 year-old tortoiseshell cat for two days and I was satisfied. She exemplified perfect communication, was very kind, and quite accommodating. I would recommend Emily to anyone.”

About: As a cat owner and animal lover, I understand that every cat has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat enjoys playtime and attention or prefers quiet companionship, I will respect their needs and provide care tailored to them. I can assist with feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, medication administration when needed, and plenty of affection on their terms. My goal is to keep your cat comfortable, stress-free, and cared for while you're away, while providing you with regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“We are so incredibly grateful for Alison for the amazing care our cat received over the festive period. She went above and beyond in every way — keeping us updated, making sure our cat was happy and comfortable, and even extending the stay without hesitation when our flight was delayed. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our cat was in such loving and reliable hands. Truly wonderful, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend! 🐱”

“Cheyenne took wonderful care of our Jax. He had a blast playing with her dogs and made a new friend, Romero. Her kids took to him right away. As labs do, he got muddy and she went over and above by bathing him. She sent frequent pics and videos of him playing. We will definitely use her again if we are in the area again.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid. I’ve cared for friends and families dogs of all sizes and ages. I currently have a female American bully but in the past I’ve had English mastiffs, pit bulls, and a border collie. I enjoy high energy dogs that love to run and play as well as older dogs that just want to play around and be loved on. I’m currently on summer break. I am an athlete at Eastern Kentucky University and have required practices every day but I’m gone no longer than 3 hours per day. I currently live in an apartment with a dog park on site I also have one friendly and very active pup to keep yours company. I will always be outside with the pups they are never out there alone.
About: Spent whole life with dogs and cats. Am owner of service dog and work consistently with him daily; therefore, I can participate in any training your pet may be involved in. I am confident with all pets of all ages and happy to take care of your dogs and cats. I am certified cat and dog CPR/First Aid. I am EKU student on summer break so my current schedule is wide open. I plan to continue offering pet care services when school starts up again in the Fall. I have a large, well-fenced yard for your dog to play in, with a few nice shade trees as well. Love taking dogs for walks and our neighborhood is perfect for walking dogs. Dogs can also come inside to enjoy AC if it’s too hot outside. My dog + I are happy to come to your home also, to care for your pets.
About: I have over 10 years of pet care experience! I am a responsible pet owner of (3) small dogs. I do have basic training experience and have crate trained all three of my dogs successfully (after many sleepless nights of course). I work from home full-time so I am always at home and available for drop ins, doggy day care, or boarding! My house has a fenced in yard and all three of my dogs are up to date on vaccinations, including Bordetella. I also walk our dogs daily (weather permitting) so you can ensure your little one will get exercise, if they would like it that is! I have also fostered rescue dogs previously through Paws 4 a Cause in Lexington. I am an avid animal lover and will treat your dog as one of my own. Please note: due to my dogs being smaller (all under 25 pounds) I wont be able to accept dogs larger than 30-40 pounds. My dogs are tough and love to play, but we want to avoid any play injuries! I work from home full-time so I will be available throughout the day for your pet. I am able to let your pet out, or drop by and check on your pets many times throughout the day. Even when my schedule is busy I still usually have time to step away for pet care! I care for the pets in my home by keeping a watchful eye over them. They have access to our backyard and I ensure to step out and check on them often. I know what foods are safe for dogs and what foods are dangerous. My dogs are on different medications (for allergies), so I am well versed on giving oral medications if needed as well. If I am checking on your pet(s), or staying over at your place, you can rest assured that I am taking care of your pet(s) as if they were my own!

“Kayla has watched my senior dog several times now. My dog has massive separation anxiety, and Kayla is great with her. Harley seems relaxed when she gets home, which is usually a good indicator that she had a good day. Kayla is also an excellent communicator.”

“Debra was wonderful! I have one dog who is very anxious and she was so patient with him to make sure he was going to be comfortable in a new environment. She has a wonderful fenced backyard which was important to me as my anxious dog doesn’t do well on walks. I will definitely be using her again.”

About: I’m 21 years old and have grown up around animals my entire life. I have hands on experience caring for a wide range of pets, especially dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve had dogs my whole life from Chihuahuas and Dachshunds to Pit Bulls and Belgian Shepherds so I’m comfortable with everything from small, high energy pups to large, working breeds. I still care for my childhood Dachshund and currently have a Belgian Shepherd, which has given me strong experience with daily routines, training basics, exercise needs, and attentive care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Pet care is my full time job, so it’s fully built into my daily and weekly routine. This allows me to dedicate my time and attention to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s walks, feedings, playtime, medications, or just extra companionship. Since this is what I do every day, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to provide reliable, consistent care and give your pets the attention they deserve. I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort in both my home and my clients’ homes. I carefully follow all instructions, maintain clean environments, secure doors and gates, and closely monitor pets to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for at all times.
“Sable had another wonderful, exciting, yet relaxing time with Jason, Brooke, their entire family, and their dog Toby. Thank you, Rover.com, and a special thanks to Jason and Brooke for your loving care of Sable. God bless you all!”

“Tiffany has been fantastic! She's friendly, reliable, and has made our lives so much easier. Knowing our pup Ferdinand is in good hands with her gives us peace of mind every time.”

“Alicia is not just dog walker, she really put in the work to form a fast bond with my pup and is always looking for ways to make or keep her happy and feeling safe. I guarantee it's my pup's favorite time of day when Alicia stops by.”

About: I’ve been an avid animal lover since I was a kid. I have worked with and been around a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, fish, ferrets and more. Not only do my own animals rely on me for quality care, I have had the pleasure of caring for other animals while friends and family are away. Currently I am the owner of 4 dogs, 26 chickens and 9 ducks. Every morning before work I make sure all of my animals have food and water, as well as making sure my dogs get all of their daily vitamins and dental sticks. Additionally my dogs get monthly flea/tick prevention and heart worm prevention. Right now this will just be a part time job but I am hoping to expand and make this my full time and only job. Currently I have open availability on weekends as well as morning and night availability throughout the week. Caring for pets is a big responsibility and I take pride in knowing animals will be safe with me. At the beginning of booking with me I would set up a meet and greet to make sure your pets are comfortable with me. After doing so, we would begin services. During services I will make sure to closely monitor your pets, keep them leashed while not in a fenced in area, keep away from road ways and other - potentially dangerous animals. I would also ensure timely medication, feeding, and watering schedules.
About: I've taken care of friends and families pets for the past 10 years, I've worked in pet retail for more then 9 years. My growth and passion for animals is every evolving I currently work a full time job, so I have 2 rotating days off a week plus off every night. Schedule and times can always be discussed. I have 8+ years of pet education along with nutrition and training, I have more then 40 hour of positive/ positive reinforcement training to help keep things under control.
About: I discovered pet sitting back in the early 90s (pre-internet); I ran across an ad in the newspaper for pet sitters needed for a great lady that had a Pet Nanny franchise. That was the most fun, and most rewarding job. The most amazing thing I did while in her employ was help a Basset Hound regain the use of his legs. One of my twice-weekly duties was to go over to "Kip's house," and perform physical therapy - which was simply moving all four legs in a prescribed way, for a prescribed period of time. I was so skeptical that it could work, but diligently performed the movements. I left for the birth of my oldest son before Kip's therapy concluded, but with all the people Kip's owner had hired to come in and do this consistently over several months, I was delighted to learn that he began walking again. I stopped pet sitting with the birth of my first son. Now that our sons are both grown and gone, and we work from home and my availability is flexible, it's time to jump back in! I grew up with cats, and Labs. And all the snakes, toads, and other things I could find outside. I also love and have owned (and miss) horses. I've also raised Leopard Geckos and had various other reptiles, and snakes. We currently have two dogs, two cats, and a crested gecko at home. I'm available for cat sitting, dog walks, and drop-in visits. I work from home with a flexible schedule. Not available for overnights/house sitting, as my babies (husband included) need me. Being a home and pet owner myself, security, attention, and comfort are a top priority. It's vital to me to care for others' pets (and homes) as I would my own. I'm older, and neurotic about proper care and attention. I would love to hear about your routines, so I can know what they expect, and try to replicate as best I can.

“Kailey has been a great walker for Sable. She’s punctual, consistent, and very easy to coordinate with. She provides peace of mind through solid communication and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. I’m very happy with her service and would recommend her without hesitation.”

About: I've taken care of/had the pleasure of sharing my time with the following: dogs, cats, farm animals (horses, cows, chickens, turkeys), snakes, tarantulas and turtles. I've also cared for ill pets/pets with very specific daily routines. My wife and I currently have two loving, energetic dogs (2, 7) and three clingy cats (11, 11, 10). I'm currently very flexible with scheduling as I mostly do contract and-or gig work online. I'm available every day of the week, and generally any time requested. I'll ask questions to determine the level/frequency/type of care your pet requires, and will ask that you're specific in your requests. A meet and greet will be required, barring emergency circumstances.
About: Hello!! My name is Abby I am a senior at EKU majoring in animal and veterinary sciences, I am studying to become a veterinarian. I currently work at a veterinary clinic as a veterinary technician. I have a strong passion for animals and will make sure that your pet is taken care of while you are away :) I’m looking for a little side job from working at the veterinary clinic to make a little extra money and also broaden my experience of working with animals for my veterinary school applications. I am available anytime :) I had 3 dogs growing up and I currently own a 6 month old golden retriever lab mix named Beau. i know how to take care of your fur baby like it was my own and i can assure you your fur baby will be taken care of :)
About: I've been working with dogs since I was 9 years old. It started at a summer camp located at my local shelter and at home with our own dogs. At 18 I helped foster 2-week-old kittens that were born in our front yard and abandoned by their mom. I have worked with many different dogs and have been house sitting since I was 16 years old with different types of dogs and different care levels, from needing to give elderly dogs medication to hyper puppies who need lots of play time. I fit in Pet care into my daily routine by waking up at a specific time every morning to take care my own dog out for a morning potty break, then it is breakfast time, then an hour after is a morning walk, after I have lunch is a shorter afternoon walk and before dinner is an evening walk, with several potty breaks scattered reasonably every 3 hours to make sure. Sometimes I take my own dog on small hikes or to the dog park to get some more socialization in. Outside of my hobbies and schooling pet care is my life. This does depend on what I am hired for, if I am hired for potty breaks and play time then I do just that, I arrive at the home, let the dog out to go potty, take a walk play with some toys. If I am housesitting, then I follow the schedule the owners have their dogs on as to not disrupt the dog's stability.

About: One of the hardest things to do is trust someone to care for your pet, to make them feel safe, and treat them as family members while you’re away. That is the care I strive for with every visit! Because being away from your hoomans can feel uncertain, I provide extra play time and extra love. I also clean up their messes—if there are any, and I’m happy to help with the occasional chore when you have to be away for more than a couple of days! I am also committed to working closely with you to provide tailored care and companionship. I provide clear communication, pictures of your babies with each visit. I bring experience caring for pets of all ages—from playful youngsters to wise seniors—along with expertise in administering medications and supporting animals with special needs. Note: I’m no longer able to offer boarding services. One of my own sweet boys is getting up in years—he’s a little more fragile, and a little less patient than he once was, and I worry that boarding a stranger would cause him a lot of unnecessary stress. I work from home — this allows me some flexibility and the ability to customize my breaks and lunch based on the needs of my clients. When caring for pets in the home of my clients, it’s important to remember that the little one that I’m caring for is likely stressed because their mom and/or dad are gone, and there is a stranger (me) in their home. With that in mind, I typically spend more time with them than what is required by Rover because they need the extra time to feel comfortable with me. I take time to try to get to know them and help them feel more at ease. I treat them with the same amount of compassion I want for my own!

“Emily has been walking our dog 3 times a week for a while now. She is reliable, and she's great about communicating any changes in her schedule as well as adjusting to changes in our schedule.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals of all personalities. I have two labs and two cats of my own, including a rescue we welcomed into our home, so I understand how important trust, routine, and a calm environment are for pets. I successfully introduced all of our animals and helped them learn to coexist comfortably, which gave me valuable experience with animal behavior, slow introductions, and reading body language. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic and anxious pets, and I take pride in making animals feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. I also genuinely enjoy the little things that make a difference — keeping spaces clean, deep-cleaning litter boxes, sticking to routines, and giving pets individualized attention based on their needs and personalities. 🐾 Pet care is already a huge part of my daily life, so caring for other animals fits naturally into my routine. Between my two labs and two cats, I’m used to managing feeding schedules, walks, playtime, cleaning, and making sure each pet gets individual attention and affection every day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care never feels like a chore to me — it’s something that brings me peace and happiness. I’m someone who pays attention to the little details, whether that’s noticing changes in behavior, keeping litter boxes and living spaces clean, or helping pets feel comfortable and safe in their own environment. My schedule allows me to be dependable, communicative, and consistent with the care I provide, which I know is important when someone is trusting me with a beloved pet.
“Selah has been an absolute blessing to work with. She is kind, reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. From the very first interaction, it was clear that she approaches her work with intention, patience, and compassion. My dog, Sable, was always well cared for and comfortable in her presence, which meant a great deal to me. Selah was respectful of schedules, attentive to details, and carried herself with a warm, trustworthy spirit. “We love Allison! Echo and Ollie get SO excited to go on their walks! I can’t recommend her enough! Allison loves and cares for the pups and does a fantastic job! We are very happy!”

“Very thorough and on top of things, even with how scatterbrained I am. Tater was a big fan of her immediately! My pup is reactive, an amputee and is very strong headed and I’m kind of a “helicopter mom” so I’m glad to have found someone that makes me feel at ease when I can’t make it home to walk her.”

“Audrey and Samuel are amazing they always take great care of my pups! Our dogs are a handful but they love having them and the dogs always get so excited when we turn down their street!”

“Addie is fantastic!! We met her twice before we left town just to be sure things were all set— and our dog loves her. We were flexible about where she stayed with our dog- her house or ours- because we were gone for 16 days. She did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable with her. She sent pictures, responded quickly to texts, and Levi’s know how everything was going. Additionally, Addie is a genuinely nice person who is driven in her work as a dancer. We were very impressed with her. We are looking forward to many more trips, knowing our dog is safe and well loved in our absence.”

“Communication and understanding and ability to accommodate on the fly was outstanding. Nova came back to me happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend Brian to anyone and will definitely rebook.”
