I used to work for the PetSmart pet hotel back in college and I've had experience with all sorts of animals from farm animals to domestic pets. I have more recent experience with farm animals such as goats, chickens, quail, rabbits, peacocks, sheep, guardian dogs, donkeys, and ducks, horses, and some livestock. I recently sold my farm to move closer to town. I am a stay at home mama and I can come in the mornings and evenings at minimum but likely will add in 1-2 mid day visits. I took her in from a man I helped on a call at work. He had to have his leg amputated and had no family to take her at the time. 22 years as a police officer 17 years as a helicopter crew chief in the USAF I had a miniature pinscher who was diabetic and had cushings. I also have three dogs who currently need medications. I am able to administer medications. My dogs are all different energy levels and each dog has its own personality. I understand every dog is different 😁 I understand different work shifts and needs. Will offer military, police, and first responder discounts. I retired after 20 years of policing in NY. I am currently back working for another PD here in KY but I am in the process of going back to retired life. I spend a lot of time with my pups. Depending on the distance I am available for overnight stays. I am available most weekends and some weekdays. I have 2 cats! I’ve had experience with dogs, cats, birds, small animals, fish, and some reptiles. I do work a full time job during the week. 12 hour shifts in Lexington. My weekends are available and weekdays will vary depending on my schedule. My cats are indoor. I do have one leash trained and we do take walks. One requires eye drops daily. 2 pet feedings per day as well.

I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily.
