I have two dogs and five cats, as well as a hobby bird farm. Lots of smells and cuddles to be had. I also am happy to stay in your home and care for your pet in their own comfort zone. My work is remote, and as long as you have wi-fi, I'm set up to be productive. I've cared for very old and too young rescues for both dogs and cats, including medication and funky feeding schedules. I've even helped socialize shy rescues and help normalize healthy potty habits. I work full time fully remote, with limited travel. I always keep my calendar up to date with availability and obligations. I live in a rural area, so stay overs are preferred over drop ins, just because of travel time. The pets come first! They rely on us for everything, so I'm always keeping an eye open for their needs. Sometimes it's a potty break, dinner, or their own space. We have an extra-large kennel we keep set up in the event someone needs it, and a small one we set up if someone needs a more enclosed space for comfort and safety. I love getting pictures of my cats when we leave on a trip, so I always reciprocate when I'm pet sitting for someone else. We do not board our Charlie frequently and had never utilized Rover service so was a little anxious about leaving her with someone she didn’t know but based on Kendra’s great reviews I contracted Kendra. What an excellent experience! I cannot say enough good things about her. Her responses were very prompt and courteous! She is a very sweet person and Charlie went to her immediately. I knew that she would be well taken care of when I left. She even sent the cutest pictures of her playing in her fenced in backyard and looked so happy in the pictures! I could enjoy the game and family better knowing that Charlie was being well cared for! Hopefully, the next time we are in the area Kendra will be available to keep Charlie again! About: Throughout most of my life my family has had cats. For a long time when I moved to the country, we only had one cat that was outside most of the time, his name was Henry and he was so sweet. However, after he passed, we adopted two beautiful baby kittens a few months later, Teddy and June! Me and my siblings helped raise those tiny kittens to the big beautiful fur balls they are now and they are the most loving and sweetest cats we have ever had for our family. I also help take care of cats through the humane society at my job at Petsense, I do my best to visit the local humane societies as often as I can to love on all the kitty babies. Cats are beautiful creatures and I truly love every single one I meet, I want to take care of each of them as best I am able. ❤️ I am very clean and make sure that when I am cleaning their space (litter box, play toys, etc.) I do a good job so they can be comfortable. About: I have been taking care of pets (as a job) since I was only 10 years old. I grew up wanting to be a vet (until I realized I'd have to put animals down) and decided to just take care of them myself in my own home! :) In college, I actually specialized in canine genetics if that tells you anything about my obsession. About: I have had dogs my entire life, so I really understand their social cues (ie. if they're nervous, scared, or on alert), and I am able to easily remove them from uncomfortable situations. I could spend all day every day with dogs. If your dog is with me, you can rest assured that I will love them and treat them as if they were my own. Of course you are your dog's best friend, but I will be their other one. They won't just go on a walk with me; they will receive love, attention, those oh-so-adored behind-the-ear scratches, and probably some kisses, too. Having a large dog of my own has given me plenty of hands-on experience with the strength, energy, and wonderfully goofy personalities that often come with bigger breeds. When I care for your dog, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions and their normal routine, spend quality time playing or relaxing with them, and I’m happy to send pictures and updates so you can see how they’re doing. I treat every pet in my care the way I would want someone to treat my own. As a teacher, I have a consistent schedule that makes it easy to plan pet care around my workday. I’m available for house-sitting every other week and can provide care before and after school as well as more flexible care on weekends and school breaks. When I accept a booking, I make sure I have the time to give your pet the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve, not just rush in and out. I know it takes a lot of trust to welcome someone into your home and leave a beloved pet in their care. As a teacher and longtime pet owner, I’m responsible, dependable, and attentive to details. I’ll carefully follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routines, respect your home, and pay attention to any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. I’ll also send pictures and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for.
About: I have experience with puppy training basics, including house training reinforcement, crate training, leash manners, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m patient, calm, and positive, which helps young dogs learn while feeling safe and confident. For senior pets, I provide attentive, compassionate care, including administering medications, assisting with mobility, sticking to specialized diets, and monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. I understand that older pets need extra patience and gentle handling, and I make their comfort a top priority. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own—providing reliable, loving, and trustworthy care while keeping owners updated and worry-free. I am currently staying at home due to a lapse in full time work! Taking care of my pets is naturally in my daily routine as well as working on commission based art work. When it comes to taking care of pets in home, I am able to safely separate them from my other pets if need be. All of my pets are vaccinated! I do not have a fenced in yard, however I do have a gated porch! If your pups need walked they will be safely walked on a leash or they can be placed in my outside kennel if requested by you! :) pets are allowed on furniture!
