About: I have helped raise a bottle fed kitten and cared for a senior beagle in his last year. I care for and adopt mostly adult dogs, but I haven't met one I don't like! I work from home, so my schedule is flexible to fit in lots of home visits with overnight stay possible! I have my own dog that goes out 3 times a day already, so fitting in pet care is a breeze! I have an apartment with 2 bedrooms where dogs can sleep separate from my own dog. My complex is very dog friendly with all pets on leash, and large areas to sniff and poop as well as a park & track in walking distance.

About: We have owned dogs since we each were children. Our dogs have been from puppies until they moved across the rainbow bridge. Mostly small to mid size dogs. Misty is home almost all the time. Tom works and is home in the evening. Week days are available with Wednesday evening pick up by 5 PM. Saturday daytime is also fine. Over night stay is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Special arrangements could be made for Wednesday or Sunday night. We have two dogs who are each 10 years old. They will need to adapt to having other dogs visit. They have crates, and baby gate to separate as needed until all dogs are comfortable. We will give all pets plenty of attention. We have an empty room where visiting pets can spend time. We have a rope tied from tree to tree with dog leashes attached for free exercise and potty time in the yard. This keeps them safe and prevents running away. For overnight care the spare room will be supplies with a soft blanket for a bed.

About: I am a doctoral candidate in Biology at UofL, so you know I'm good at organization and scheduling! I think my time as a graduate student has sharpened my reasoning and communication skills as well. It's also increased my animal handling experience (mice)! I've had pets my whole life, mostly cats and dogs. My most recent pet is an elderly shi tzu with a surprising amount of energy! Apollo is a very skiddish cat, but we've definitely earned each others' trust. I can drop by to check on your pet, take them out for a walk (if weekday, must be before 10am or after 5pm, can be flexible), check on them periodically to feed them, or house sit (weekends only). I am a grad student, so I'm usually busy during weekdays 10am-5pm. Most of my work now is away from the bench, so I can be a little flexible about those hours Weekends are generally open! I love in an apartment that doesn't allow animals so I can't keep any here. I can however watch your furry friend at your house or take them on walks around the neighborhood!

“Dogs seemed to enjoy themselves and I received plenty of pictures, so I wasn't too worried being separated from them for the first time ever. Hosts were also very understanding and willing to work with me for my one dog who doesn't play well with other dogs and offered to not accept any other pets during the time I booked, which is huge if you have a similar issue cause you know it's almost next to impossible to find anyone that will accept an aggressive dog.Would recommend!”

“I am so glad I found Dan. She took amazing care of our dog in her home while we were on vacation. I was so relieved to know he was getting the same amount (if not more haha!) of attention, love, and activity as we give him. She took him on long walks, played with him at the park, gave him extra treats, and even bathed him when he got a little dirty playing outside. Dan sent us plenty of photos and videos while we were gone. I will use Dan any time we are out of town again and I couldn't recommend her enough!”

She is very nice and friendly and her dog Yeti is very friendly and happy to see other dogs. My dog tends to have some anxiety but the atmosphere was so positive for him he was playing with toys and her dog Yeti in no time. I highly recommend her for any services you might need for your dogs. Thank you for taking great care of my boy I appreciate it!”
