About: Its been my personal passion to love and take care of animal of all shapes and sizes. I grew up next to a farm allowing me the opportunity to care for all animals big or small. It’s my personal mission to make sure your fur babies feel, safe, happy, and healthy in my care. Animal care is my main focus, my end goal is to become a certified veterinarian so I can continue with a career I love. I am available Monday through Friday, but I am willing to work on weekends as well. I have a very friendly 7 month old puppy, he is full of energy and loves to play with any dog type. When your fur baby is in our care they will be treated like family. We do not have a huge yard to play in but we do regular park trips and hiking trails at least twice a day to get that energy out.

I have grown up on a farm with cattle, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, and of course dogs and cats. I have had 2 sets of puppies that I helped care for and train for their new families and a litter of kittens as well. I have cared for animals of all ages including newborns all the way over 15 years old. I have 6 years of official petsitting experience, but I have almost 20 years of experience as a pet owner. I have also owned a chameleon and a turtle and cared for a bearded dragon and a snake. I do work 6:45am to 3:45pm daily in Murray, KY. I do get an hour for lunch so if the home is local I would be able to go back at lunch to care for the animal if needed. My weekends are open so long as im not already booked! I have had animals my entire life so feeding, walking, playing with, and loving my animals has always been a constant for me. Think of boarding here as bringing your dog to Grandma's house. There will be some spoiling and if pet parents permit, homemade dog cookies! Currently I am home all the time. Your dog will be with me and my dog while here. Gumbo (30 pound neutered male) likes to play fetch or frisbee and we do this daily. I feed my dog early morning (6-7) and early evening (6-7). I give a lot of outside time when weather allows. I give my dog a lot of attention and your dog(s) will get the same. We are a pack and your dog will be part of that pack when he/she stays with us. I live on 6 acres near Dukedom, TN. My large backyard has a chain link fence. If your dog likes to play ball or frisbee this is a great yard to do it in. In addition to the backyard, I have a large field that I keep a path mowed around just for walks but to go there your dog(s) must have excellent recall or be leashed trained very well. I don't want to be pulled around or have to struggle to hold them. Dogs really like going to the field. "No" is the word I use to stop misbehavior. If there is a different word you use, let me know. It is good to know what words/phrases your dog recognizes. It'd be great if you write those down and give it to me. I have carpet throughout my living quarters so PLEASE only housebroken dogs. I give numerous long outdoor time between 5 AM to 9 PM. Potty breaks are every couple of hours. Your pet must be vaccinated! Bordatella vacs are recommended every six-to-twelve months. if your dog frequents places with other dogs, get 6 month vaccine. My dogs are vaccinated. In the warmer months, it is very important that dogs have a flea and tick preventative or have some defense against these nasty bugs because both are out here. I keep grass mowed but they still get on the dogs so make sure they have a preventative. My dogs wear clothing treated with Sawyer flea/tick spray and I have had great success with that method along with a monthly prescribed medicine. Bring your pet's food/bowls/treats along with feeding instructions. Filling out pet profile in depth on Rover helps tremendously! It has an area for vet info and anything I would need to know about your dog can be on their profile! Gumbo has dog toys that he shares but if your dog has a fave, bring it. If your dog must sleep in a bed or crate, bring it. Sometimes a sweater or anything with your scent on it comforts a dog that misses his/her owner. You're welcome to bring that. If he/she has a brush that you want me to use, bring it. I can brush dogs but have no proper facility to bathe. In the summer, I have a small dog pool to cool off in and plenty of shade in the backyard. NO cell service out here so I do not carry my phone with me. I check my messages several times thru the day but I'm not like most that have their phone on them. It does me no good. Many rural people pay for cell service despite not getting it at their homes. I have a landline that works providing my internet service works. If there is anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask. I have my profile set to only take in three dogs at a time. I have two so I think five is enough. I am very attentive so rest assured I am keeping a good eye on them.

I am excited to shower your beloved companion with care and make a new connection. I am a stay at home mom so I would be able to adjust to almost any schedule. I would be able to give one on one care to your special pup! I would love your dog to be able to make a comfortable living space. We have a small fenced in yard to play and potty breaks, but I am very comfortable with leash walking for bathroom breaks and exercise. We are able to use a crate if needed for night time, I also don’t mind a dog sleeping on our couch for added comfort if that’s what the dog is comfortable with. I truly want it to be a specialized and adjustable experience to whatever the fur baby needs.

About: Dogs are the way to my heart. I’ve volunteered at the Humane Society, now called SEMO pets. Training is one of my favorite things to do, besides playing. I have experience with giving medicine to fur babies. I currently work part time so my schedule is for the most part pretty flexible. Rarely am I ever on vacation or far from home. About: Really any animal for me makes me happy I don't care if it's dog,cat,farm,reptile anything I enjoy keeping busy and animals do that for me I have 2 dogs 3 cats I've had farm animals before. I just like having something to do. I don't like sitting at home because I get bored I'm hoping to use this opportunity to walk doggies and get exercise for both of us just get out of the house in general. I'm available anytime after 630am till late in the evening. I am available at most times of the day. Just let me know if I can help you out. I live on 5 acres. I have a small fence area attached to my house where no other animals are. I would care for your pets as they're my own. I have never had issues with my pets not getting along with any dogs and mine can always be in a separate area if need be.
