“The pups seem to have had a great time getting spoiled! We got plenty of updates on how they were doing during the stay, which helped immensely! They commonly get upset/stressed with traditional boarding, so this was a great alternative. Would recommend!”
“Andy did a great job helping Nate feel at home. Nate got snacks he likes and outside breaks that were on his schedule. Andy sent a lot of updates with pictures. Besides the cute pictures, Andy sent me a picture that showed Nate feeling relaxed. Frankly, I was glad Nate still wanted to come home! Andy understands dogs, has an appreciation for the variety of normal dog behavior, and really does love dogs. His daughter also really loves dogs. Although I found Andy through Rover, a mutual friend confirmed that he’s a dog lover and would trust him with her dogs. Knowing that we had mutual friends was literally an answer to prayer. I would definitely trust this family with Nate again.”

“We had a positive experience with Julie. Her communication was excellent from start to finish—she was quick to respond and always kept us in the loop. We especially appreciated the daily updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and showed how happy our pup was.”

“Jason and Brooke were great! They kept me up to date with Rupp and sent pictures. Rupp loved hanging out with their daughter and sleeping with her at night. We will definitely use their services again!”
“She took amazing care of my dog while I was away. She kept me updated with photos. My dog was happy and well cared , he looks so healthy . Highly recommend. --- You can adjust it as needed!”

“I am so thankful to have found Melody. My dog, Opal, took to her right away, and she LOVES being over there for daycare and overnight stays. The times are super flexible, and I’m thankful to have someone that loves my dog as much as I do! I get pictures and videos on how Opal is doing throughout the day. Definitely the best dog sitter in Lex!”

“She saved by taking a very late booking due to a previous cancellation. Even went so far as to meet us somewhere as we were towing a huge camper. Would not hesitate to use again.”

“I CANNOT say enough good things about both Rick and his fiancé Annemarie! They were God-sent ANGELS for our wedding weekend! We were out of town - all of us were - and really needed someone who could keep Millie for us. Even though they stayed a half hour away, they were above-and-beyond accommodating, staying flexible with our schedule as things changed on our end. They came and picked her up from us, brought her back for rehearsal the same day so my nephew could practice walking her down the aisle, took her back home. They sent me pictures of her and their dog Buckley all throughout the weekend and she looked like she was having fun, getting good sleep and was comfortable. When Annemarie brought Millie to my wedding, she came dressed up to blend in with the other guests and I never heard Millie bark the whole time. She stayed around in the hot heat for pictures so Millie could be in a few pictures with us before taking her back to their home. Finally, they kept her through an extra day for us so we could have a little breather time before we had to pack everything up at our hotel room and head back home. We could not have made it through our wedding weekend without Annemarie and Rick's help. All of their story-sharing about what Millie was up to with Buckley all weekend was so nice to see intermittently as we were busy buzzing about doing our wedding activities. We are so GRATEFUL for everything they did and it's clear Millie was well taken care of and comfortable because she was so calm and relaxed when Rick returned her to us! Truly extra sweet! Thanks again for everything!”

“Sandra is the best! She takes excellent care of Barnaby, and always sends pictures and updates. We had some issues trying to get back to him and ended up not getting back until way after we planned on, but she was very understanding and happy to care for him longer.”
“We couldn't be happier with the care provided during our overnight stay! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such good hands. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy, well-cared for, and clearly received lots of attention and affection. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter!”

“Great experience! They took wonderful care of Thor and sent updates, which I really appreciated. He’s an easy cat, but they still kept him in his own room so he felt safe and comfortable. Would definitely book again!”

“Audrey and Samuel did a great job caring for my puppy! She was exhausted when we picked her up so I think she had a lot of fun! They also offered to do a meet-and-great which is great.”
“Yadieris was awesome!. She kept me informed about my cats activities and tried really hard to connect with my “not so kind” cat!! I would recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Renee did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. She sent regular updates and pictures of them playing and having fun. I think one of our dogs is actually disappointed that we came back because he was having so much fun playing with the other dogs at Renee's house.”

“Ann, was awesome. She was able to accommodate my last minute request. She also met me and picked up Charly. She sent some regular updates and even took some great pictures of Charly.”

“Cassie did a great job on taking care of our fur-baby while we are away for a week. Nothing like having a peace of mind while being away from our fur-baby. Highly recommended!”

“Ashley is great!! Storm came back worn out but in the best way! I don’t have a fenced In yard, so makes my heart happy for her to have friends to play with and be able to run freely! She was able to get my last minute, and worked with me on times! Highly recommend, absolutely my go to now!”

“Dyanne stayed an extra night when we had an emergency. She was very understanding, and so kind-hearted. She is the most amazing and dependable Rover pet sitter we ever had!!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! I was away for two weeks, and Allison was absolutely amazing with my cat. She sent daily updates and photos, kept me informed about how things were going, and clearly cared deeply for my fur baby. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cat was in such loving and capable hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive pet sitter! She is awesome!”

About: I’ve fostered many cats and kittens growing up, so I’m very familiar with feline behavior, from curious kittens to more reserved or senior cats. I’m comfortable with everything from bottle-feeding babies to administering medications and giving extra TLC to shy or older cats. I understand how important it is to keep litter boxes clean, feeding schedules consistent, and routines calm—especially for cats who are sensitive to changes in their environment. My goal is always to make your cat feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by cats my whole life—both indoor and outdoor—so I know how to read their moods and keep them happy. I’ve also gained hands-on experience working at a humane society and a veterinarian’s office, giving me confidence in feeding, administering medication, and spotting health concerns. I love making sure every cat feels safe, loved, and well cared for—from playtime to keeping their litter box sparkling clean. Your furry family members will be in caring hands!

“Tayler has been very professional, friendly, and a great person all around when it has come to dropping in on my Owen. I’m extremely satisfied with her communication. She goes above and beyond to spend a few extra minutes with boy, making sure he gets the positive attention he needs. Thanks so much Tayler!!”

About: I have experience caring for all types of cats and temperaments, from tiny kittens to adult and mama cats. I’ve cared for cats with special needs as well, including one eyed cats, and I understand the extra patience and gentle handling they may require. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter care, playtime, and giving cats the space or attention they prefer. I take pride in making sure every cat feels safe, calm, and cared for while their owner is away.

About: My first job was working at a vet clinic with dogs and 20 years later I’m still passionate about what I do! I am a certified pet care technician with a lifetime of experience working with dogs. Also pet CPR certified. I have a dog grooming area on-site at home as well. Can sent text and photo updates. Professional, experienced, and I love dogs. I Look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I work with dog rescue and dedicate my life to dogs bc it's what I love! I am a current member of APDT Association of professional dog trainers, working towards my dog training certification. I love all breeds but I especially love working with bully breeds. Many boarding facilities do not allow these breeds of dog. Most are just big cuddle bugs, and I am happy to oblige!

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of attention, adaptability, and genuine care I bring to every pet I look after. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—each animal has its own personality, routine, and needs, and I make it a priority to learn and respect those from day one. I have experience working with both high-energy puppies and older, more sensitive senior pets. With puppies, I focus on reinforcing basic training like housebreaking, crate comfort, leash manners, and positive behavior using consistent, reward-based methods. I’m patient and understand that young dogs need structure, repetition, and encouragement to thrive. For senior pets, I provide a calm, attentive environment and am comfortable handling special care routines, including administering medications, monitoring mobility, and adjusting activity levels to keep them comfortable. I pay close attention to subtle changes in behavior or health and communicate proactively with owners. Beyond that, I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented. I keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos, and I always aim to make both the pet and the owner feel completely at ease. My goal is not just to “watch” your pet, but to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.

About: Throughout most of my life my family has had cats. For a long time when I moved to the country, we only had one cat that was outside most of the time, his name was Henry and he was so sweet. However, after he passed, we adopted two beautiful baby kittens a few months later, Teddy and June! Me and my siblings helped raise those tiny kittens to the big beautiful fur balls they are now and they are the most loving and sweetest cats we have ever had for our family. I also help take care of cats through the humane society at my job at Petsense, I do my best to visit the local humane societies as often as I can to love on all the kitty babies. Cats are beautiful creatures and I truly love every single one I meet, I want to take care of each of them as best I am able. ❤️ I am very clean and make sure that when I am cleaning their space (litter box, play toys, etc.) I do a good job so they can be comfortable. They deserve the best care!

“Carolyne was fantastic. She came by every day to visit with, feed, and clean up after my daughter’s two cats. We appreciate all of her love and care of them for the past six days.”

About: I've had at least four dogs as long as I can remember. As a child, they were my first companions and my second caretakers. Even as I grew into an adult, they were always there to comfort me and to brighten the darkest of days. Dogs hold a very special place in my heart and I am eager to give back what they so willingly give; love, acceptance, understanding, comfort, and joy. In the last two years, I have gone from four dogs to one, due to Cancer and Congestive Heart Failure, and I must admit that their absence has affected me deeply. I miss them so so so much!! I'm one of those people that celebrated their dog's birthdays and bought them copious presents for Christmas. While my friends were pulling out their family pics, I was always pulling out my dog pics. I share this same sentiment towards birds, rabbits, and cats; all of which I had growing up. Being surrounded by animals as a child was a great experience. It even prompted me to volunteer at the ASPCA for almost a year. As I hope you can tell, I will not only provide what your pet needs to survive, but I will also provide him/her with special attention and love. I look forward to meeting with both you and your pet! Until then, take care! I will be able to fulfill any house/pet sitting duties without any issues, as I am able to balance my obligations responsibly and with respect to myself and those that hire me. While pet/house sitting, I will abide the rules given to me. This could include when they play, where they sleep, any medications needed, when to eat, etc.
About: As far as cats go, I have experience bathing, brushing, and trimming nails. As well as bathing and brushing for dogs. I also have experience administering liquid and pill medicine for both cats and dogs. :) I am the parent of a lazy domestic short hair cat named Eddie. I’ve had him for about three years and before Mr. Eddie, I’ve helped in providing care for many cats and dogs of all different breeds for family and friends. I feed Eddie twice a day (morning and night) and refill his water fountain every morning. Litter is changed every other day. He has two cat towers and more toys than I can count. He enjoys playing with other cats and has no problem sharing his space. As for pets in others homes I follow routines exactly as instructed.
About: I’ve had many pets since I was very young. I’ve walked, fed, bathed, and gave medicine to a variety of animals. I love caring for them and forming a bond with them. I will be available every weekend to help out with your pets. I can care for them in your home and I can also take them for walks. I will care for your pets by watching over them in your home. I can feed them, bathe them, walk them, and more. I’ll make sure to treat your animals as my own and give them the love and attention that they need.

About: We have been fostering dogs for over 3 years, but we've had dogs our entire life. Fostered BIG, small, seniors, puppies, special needs and dogs that require post-operative care or just need a quiet place for a while. We help them find their forever home by teaching basic skills like potty training, sit/stay and socializing which increases their chances to be adopted. We live in Frankfort KY but Kelley works in Louisville KY a few days a week. Depending on dates and times, we'd would love to help you and your fur baby! We live on an acreage and have half an acre fenced! Kelley slept on a friend's couch just so her cat wouldn't be lonely one time. Dave is retired and Kelley commutes Monday & Tuesday to Louisville. We have a half acre fenced! Dogs are allowed on furniture. We have sunny rooms. We have baby pools to cool off in and the door is usually open. We also have a split level with a cement patio allowing additional space if needed.
“Communication with Nancy was excellent. She was quick to respond. Both our dogs spent the day with her while we were in the area. They played hard because they were worn out when we picked them up. We would book with her again.”

“We were in town on vacation to visit distilleries. Cassie set up a meet n greet the Sunday before our visit and did a wonderful job showing us around. Day of was easy and Charlie had a great visit. Totally recommend to everyone”

“Clarissa, we had a wonderful experience and couldn't be happier with the care provided. From the beginning, you were communicative, reliable, and genuinely caring. What stood out most was her willingness to make accommodations and work with our schedule and specific needs, which made the entire process stress-free. It was clear that Lena was treated with patience, and attention, and we received updates that gave us peace of mind while we were in our event. Knowing our pup was in such good hands allowed us to fully enjoy our time. If you are in the Lexington area this is your gal, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate Rover sitter!”

About: I was born into an animal-loving family and I have continued to instill this love for animals in my own children. I have had a menagerie of animals all of my life. At the young age of 12, I started walking the neighbors' dogs and going to their houses when they were out of town to feed, water, and walk their pets. In college, I worked part-time in several different veterinary clinics. I am still very well connected to the veterinary world so if I am unsure of something involving my pets, I am able to reach out to get an answer pretty quickly. Over my lifetime of 40 yrs. I have had at least 20 dogs, 10 cats, several rabbits, horses, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, and a few reptiles (but no snakes). In my full-time job, I have a hybrid work schedule. Some days I am in the office and some days I work from home. This allows some flexibility when caring for fur babies. My family also helps care for our "animal guests". It is a group effort! I have a 1/2 acre that is fenced. I have 3 dogs- a Newfoundland, Black Lab, and a Beagle. All of my dogs are rescues. I know that I rescued them but as cheesy as it sounds, most days I feel like they rescued me. Each of them has their own personality, which I love. My dogs are usually always by my side when I am home. My dogs love to jump on the bed or couch and get snuggles. I also have 3 cats. All of them found us. They were all dumped on us and of course, I couldn't turn them away. :) I would treat your animals the same way I treat mine- with love and snuggles.

About: We would love to take care of your furry family member while you're away! We will make sure he has a marvelous time with all of us. My husband and I grew up on farms in Kentucky and have loved dogs all our lives. Reagan is sweet and smart, but mostly keeps to herself unless your dog wants to engage with her. We have a small fenced yard, and there are lots of walking areas nearby. We would take your dog to the dog park with us around the corner if you like, or we can head over to the nearby park! We do have a cat named George and a young daughter, so it is important that your furry friend be comfortable around both. George mostly keeps to himself, so as long as your dog doesn't chase or bark at him, things should go fine! Why I love dog sitting We've loved dogs our entire lives. We both grew up with dogs and firmly believe that they are a blessing to us! About my yard We do have a small yard! My experience administering medication Yes, we are comfortable administering medication. I work from home so am happy to have a furry friend keep me company and get some exercise together. Your pet won’t be lonely! I have a fully fenced yard with lots of space to play and explore. The fenced area is almost 1/2 an acre so plenty of room.
“Sable had another wonderful, exciting, yet relaxing time with Jason, Brooke, their entire family, and their dog Toby. Thank you, Rover.com, and a special thanks to Jason and Brooke for your loving care of Sable. God bless you all!”

“Look no further, Renee is a GEM! My husband and I were RVing in Kentucky and needed a dog sitter at the last minute. Renee not only took Beans in last minute but truly is amazing with Dogs! Beans had so much fun she was so sad to leave! Thank you so much Renee! If we are ever back in Kentucky we will be reaching out!”

About: I've had a fur baby in my arms since I was a child. Not only did I raise my own, but I've kept my friends, my co-workers and my son's dogs while they were out of town, for a day, a week and sometimes longer. I cared for my son's senior boy while he worked, and then he brought the newest baby to me everyday she when she was a puppy, so she wasn't home alone and I could potty train her with love. I raised our German shepherd with my sons from the time she and my youngest were both just 8 weeks old. When Libby was almost 18 yo we had to have our vet assist her in crossing the rainbow bridge. From there I got my first tiny dog, a little boy named Dexter, Chihuahua 6.6 lbs, and then shortly after I got Danika, Chihuahua 5.5 lbs. They went everywhere with me, vacations, nail salon, shopping. They had a purse they loved to jump right in and 2 booster seats so they were secured safely in my car. I lost Dexter to heart disease at 14 yo and poor little Danika was lost without him. I adopted Lucylle, Chihuahua 6 lbs, she was 2 yo. She was left at the vet by her previous family, that never came back to get her. She was very aggressive towards everyone in the beginning and it took me 3 months of patience and love to bring her out of it. By that time her and Danika were best friends, and loving companions, of course they went everywhere with me. We lost Danika just few months ago, she was 16 yo. That's when I decided to start my journey with Rover, to bring some added joy into mine and Lucylle's life and give other fur babies a safe and loving place to visit when family were away. I retired 04-2024, Lucylle and I have plenty of time on our hands. I bought a patio home, with a nice fenced back yard, where I sit in the morning or anytime during the day/evening and watch Lucylle go out and do her business or just play. We take walks around the neighborhood or down at the walking trail. My neighbors are also dog lovers, they just love little Lucylle. I have a fenced back yard for them to play in with my girl, and I keep a watchful eye on them when they are outside. I can crate your baby if needed, as I do my own sometimes. I have little beds and/or a blanket for them to snuggle when they are napping. Being retired gives me plenty of time for your fur baby (and mine). Caring, playing and loving them as if they were my own.

“Sloane is an absolute gem. She is conscientious, dedicated, and thorough. She takes care of our basket-case of a rescue dog several times per week and has been our savior from the ridiculousness of his unending energy and anxiety while we’re away. Her report cards are filled with humor and have us laughing out loud every time. Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Glenn did a great job taking care of our dog. He was prompt, respectful and able to accommodate us at the last minute. We highly recommend him for your dog walking needs”

“Very thorough and on top of things, even with how scatterbrained I am. Tater was a big fan of her immediately! My pup is reactive, an amputee and is very strong headed and I’m kind of a “helicopter mom” so I’m glad to have found someone that makes me feel at ease when I can’t make it home to walk her.”

I have been offering animal care services for eight years, and I completely love and enjoy doing it. The love that animals have for humans is an incredible thing to experience. Caring for animals makes my life so much more meaningful, and I love doing it for people who need my services. Also, knowing that people need my animal care services, fulfills my passion for helping others in life. I love and enjoy being of service to others, and it makes me so happy to be able to do so. I'm currently working as an RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) (I work with people with autism and help them better adapt to everyday life), and I work with Rover as a petsitter as well. If you contact me for a lenghty petsit, I am able to ask off work with no complications (with more than a 2 week notice), however if you are in need of a speedy petsit, I can work with your schedule (but I may have to work a few hours during the day on week days, with no complications). My Rover calender will reflect my availability will continually be updated. Please check the calender before reaching out. Thank you for your understanding. I prefer going to a client's house to take care of their animals in a familiar environment, along with a detailed list of instructions of do's and dont's for their pet. Instructions on animal care are to ensure the animal's safety when they are with me, without me needing to unnecessarily contact and bother the owner while they are away. Also, a general list of outdoor activities I can do with the pet is welcome. For example, if I can take the pet hiking, to the park, for walks, etc. Also, does your pet get along with other animals, children, or people well, and does your pet get car sick? These variables are essential information for me to know to ensure the best care while you are away. My passion is pets, and I want to ensure your pets are comfortable and safe with me, so I highly encourage more than enough information on caring for your babies. Please note if your location is 40 miles, plus, in distance from my Rover given location, I charge for milage, for the traveling/distance in the initial reservation contact message for meet and greets. I will send you a new quote to your initial request for these changes in price due to milage charges. Thank you for understanding this policy.

“Kelsey did an amazing job taking care of our 4 month old kitten, and addressing her needs. Our kitten was able to socialize with other cats and even a dog! Kelsey updated us with photos and messages very frequently, which was very much appreciated! Kelsey has a significant amount of knowledge on cats, and gives them many opportunities to play and enrich their minds, socially and mentally. Thank you so much for looking after our little baby! I can not wait for the next time that she can come over to visit!”
