About: I have been pet sitting since I was 12 years old and have experience with all different types of animals: dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, and small animals like chinchillas, hamsters and birds. In addition to pet sitting, I have a long work history in the vet field working as a veterinary assistant, so I am able to administer medications and work with senior dogs or dogs with disabilities. I also have extensive dog training experience from training pets in basic obedience to task trained service animals. I had no idea she had never been around chickens before—you would never have guessed! We had a hen sitting on a nest and had calculated that the eggs would hatch after we got home... we were wrong! While we were away, several chicks started hatching. Jeannette didn't panic—she jumped right in. She went out and bought supplies, made sure the chicks were cared for, and handled everything like a pro, even hatching 4 chicks at her house. She also completely won over our cat, who now seems to love her more than us! Jeannette went so far above and beyond anything we expected. She treated our pets as if they were her own, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were gone. I recommend her with my highest recommendation. I’ve also looked after plenty of animals for family and friends when they’re out of town, with one family friend having me come back to dog sit for them for the last three years! They were happy and well taken care of their entire lives, even when they got older and their walks grew shorter. I’ve stayed overnight with my aunts Basset Hounds and probably spoiled them a bit while I was taking care of them. I’ve walked and taken care of all kinda of dogs and really enjoye any time I get to spend with dogs. I’m skilled at giving dogs and cats medicine without any fuss. She gave updates (and photos) when I asked, and had him ready when we arrived for pick-up. We didn't get to meet in advance when she offered, since we're from out of town, but spent time on the phone answering all our questions before we booked. If we do not use the electric fence we use a long lead. At a clients home if they have a fenced yard I would still never leave an animal unattended, that’s just me personally. I would love to spend time with your pets outside, maybe we can play a little or if your fur babies just wanna soak up some sun and relax, I’m here for it all! If the client does not have a fenced yard I would use a long lead or regular leash and never leave the pup pup unattended. For safety both in my own home or clients I utilize a crate if necessary, and positive reinforcement for good behavior! I also have experience with muzzles and other tools(collars, leads, head leads, etc) Its not only about protecting me and others but to ensure the safety of the animal as well. I have a pretty open schedule that let's me have time to do the things I would like to do. I can be available on short notice if needed. I love animals and am willing to doggy/cat sit anytime any day. I have 3 dogs myself and love cats.
