“I recently took a trip overseas and had to leave my cat home for a week. This is the first time I've been away from her for more than one or two days, so I was very nervous. I can say with utmost confidence that I wouldn't have enjoyed my vacation as much as I did without Tessa's help. Nymeria's not been around many people other than myself, so I knew it'd be difficult for her to adjust to someone else, but Tessa was incredibly patient and understanding with her. She never tried to push Nymeria's boundaries and always made sure each visit was as stress free as possible. Even though the area where I live was going through nasty weather, Tessa made sure I got to see some photos and videos of my cat each day during her visit. Knowing that Tessa was making sure Nymeria was well fed, had plenty of water, and a clean litter box lifted such a weight off my shoulders. Not to mention Tessa also works at a veterinarian clinic! I couldn't have asked for anyone better to watch over my fussy cat when I couldn't be there. Honestly I can't thank Tessa enough!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was born, I love playing, walking and just handing out with them! Also i know the hardships it takes. I am a very available person, I do have a part time job but other than that I’m very free. I usually work a few hours every other day. I love going on runs which I enjoy very much to take a dog on, this could be a short walk or a hike! I’m very active but always love bringing animals with me even if it’s just to get a pup cup or play at a park!!! I currently have 3 dogs, and I watch my sister dog on occasion. About: I’ve taken care of dogs practically my whole life. It’s one of my greatest passions and most of my life I would dogsit for anyone who would let me growing up. I would love to make sure all of the animals are safe and well cared for while their owners are gone. I currently go to school and work part time, but there is most certainly time for me to fit in helping these families with their animals when they need it. I do live in an apartment complex but I have many years of experience with walking dogs of all kinds so I could walk it when needed. As for as toys, a crate or bedding at my apartment, I don’t have much of that, but could get some if needed.

About: We've owned and cared for dogs for over 35 years. Our first dogs were a Lab and a Golden Retriever then a Pug and a Puggle and now the parents of a Lab/Husky mix. We provide loving care with plenty of exercise in our non-smoking, fenced home. We live one block from Jacobson Park and its wonderful dog parks so rest assured your fur baby will receive plenty of attention, exercise, fun and love during its stay. About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was a kid my family loves animals. I dog sit for family friends and have taken care of animals as veterinarian tech. I’m currently a student at UK and take a mix of online and short in person classes. My schedule is pretty relaxed as I don’t have classes everyday of the week. When I do have class I’m home a lot between classes and have time to check on animals every 2 hours. I live near campus so I can take your pet on walks around campus or to the park. I live in a pet free and smoke free apartment and can easily crate your pet if needed.

About: One of the hardest things to do is trust someone to care for your pet, to make them feel safe, and treat them as family members while you’re away. That is the care I strive for with every visit! Because being away from your hoomans can feel uncertain, I provide extra play time and extra love. I also clean up their messes—if there are any, and I’m happy to help with the occasional chore when you have to be away for more than a couple of days! I am also committed to working closely with you to provide tailored care and companionship. I provide clear communication, pictures of your babies with each visit. I bring experience caring for pets of all ages—from playful youngsters to wise seniors—along with expertise in administering medications and supporting animals with special needs. Note: I’m no longer able to offer boarding services. One of my own sweet boys is getting up in years—he’s a little more fragile, and a little less patient than he once was, and I worry that boarding a stranger would cause him a lot of unnecessary stress. I work from home — this allows me some flexibility and the ability to customize my breaks and lunch based on the needs of my clients. When caring for pets in the home of my clients, it’s important to remember that the little one that I’m caring for is likely stressed because their mom and/or dad are gone, and there is a stranger (me) in their home. With that in mind, I typically spend more time with them than what is required by Rover because they need the extra time to feel comfortable with me. I take time to try to get to know them and help them feel more at ease. I treat them with the same amount of compassion I want for my own!
About: I’ve been an avid animal lover since I was a kid. I have worked with and been around a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, fish, ferrets and more. Not only do my own animals rely on me for quality care, I have had the pleasure of caring for other animals while friends and family are away. At the beginning of booking with me I would set up a meet and greet to make sure your pets are comfortable with me. After doing so, we would begin services. During services I will make sure to closely monitor your pets, keep them leashed while not in a fenced in area, keep away from road ways and other - potentially dangerous animals. I would also ensure timely medication, feeding, and watering schedules.

Bear Gwendolyn (Rottweiler) crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 12 from Osteosarcoma, Spike Jamison ( German Shepherd) crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 10 from Hermangiosarcoma. Enzo Ferarri crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 12 from complications of Cushings Disease. Enzo was my heart and soul pup. I took her in from a man I helped on a call at work. He had to have his leg amputated and had no family to take her at the time. 22 years as a police officer 17 years as a helicopter crew chief in the USAF I had a miniature pinscher who was diabetic and had cushings. I also have three dogs who currently need medications. I am able to administer medications. My dogs are all different energy levels and each dog has its own personality. I understand every dog is different 😁 I understand different work shifts and needs. Will offer military, police, and first responder discounts. I retired after 20 years of policing in NY. I am currently back working for another PD here in KY but I am in the process of going back to retired life. I spend a lot of time with my pups. My schedule will be part time for now but transition to full time pet sitter. I have a fenced in yard so plenty of space for play. I will care for your pet in your home according to your pets needs and instructions. Each pet is different and has their own personality so I will cater to those needs.

About: I’ve had the responsibility of taking care of over 20 pets of my own since I was young. I have a deep love for animals and understand that each dog has its own unique pet care needs. I have the most experience with small dogs as I have one of my own. I am not afraid to work with dogs who pull on leashes. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends! I’m a college student but my schedule is very open and flexible. I come home often between class and don’t typically go more than 2hrs away from home. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a little kid. I grew up with a Yorkie named Simon. Then I adopted my first dog, Sam. She gave me loads of experience in pet ownership and many life lessons. Sam had epilepsy, so I am very skilled in taking care of medically complicated pets. I currently have two dogs: Bella (6 year old hound mix) and Eloise (6 month old Golden Retriever). I am a teacher from August-May. I teach from 8am-3pm and I have no other obligations outside of that. I am of course willing to provide care before 8am and right when I leave school at 3pm. Both of my dogs are crate trained and friendly towards other dogs. For drop in care, I will follow all required and requested directions from the owner. This includes all feeding, potty, medication, grooming, and play needs!

I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.

Besides the cute pictures, Andy sent me a picture that showed Nate feeling relaxed. Frankly, I was glad Nate still wanted to come home!
