“I recently took a trip overseas and had to leave my cat home for a week. This is the first time I've been away from her for more than one or two days, so I was very nervous. I can say with utmost confidence that I wouldn't have enjoyed my vacation as much as I did without Tessa's help. Nymeria's not been around many people other than myself, so I knew it'd be difficult for her to adjust to someone else, but Tessa was incredibly patient and understanding with her. She never tried to push Nymeria's boundaries and always made sure each visit was as stress free as possible. Even though the area where I live was going through nasty weather, Tessa made sure I got to see some photos and videos of my cat each day during her visit. Knowing that Tessa was making sure Nymeria was well fed, had plenty of water, and a clean litter box lifted such a weight off my shoulders. Not to mention Tessa also works at a veterinarian clinic! I couldn't have asked for anyone better to watch over my fussy cat when I couldn't be there. Honestly I can't thank Tessa enough!”

I currently have a female American bully but in the past I’ve had English mastiffs, pit bulls, and a border collie. I enjoy high energy dogs that love to run and play as well as older dogs that just want to play around and be loved on. I’m currently on summer break. I am an athlete at Eastern Kentucky University and have required practices every day but I’m gone no longer than 3 hours per day. The only days of the week where I’m out for more than 3 hours is Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am at home otherwise, the more time I have with your pet, the better! I do have two cats, so they will likely be separated from your pets in a boarding situation, but I live next to a dog park so it is easily accessible for pups. About: I’ve been an avid animal lover since I was a kid. I have worked with and been around a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, fish, ferrets and more. Not only do my own animals rely on me for quality care, I have had the pleasure of caring for other animals while friends and family are away. Currently I am the owner of 4 dogs, 26 chickens and 9 ducks. Every morning before work I make sure all of my animals have food and water, as well as making sure my dogs get all of their daily vitamins and dental sticks. About: I have been around animals my whole life and am passionate about caring for pets of all kinds! I truly believe pets are family and I know how hard it can be to leave your babies home, that is why I am dedicated to providing quality, exceptional care and tons of loving to your furbabies to help you feel as at ease as possible. About: With your pets permission, they will be loved on. Pets in my care will be treated like family. I have been around pets of all kinds my whole life and have pet sat for over 5 years! The only days of the week where I’m out for more than 3 hours is Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am at home otherwise, the more time I have with your pet, the better! I do have two cats, so they will likely be separated from your pets in a boarding situation, but I live next to a dog park so it is easily accessible for pups. I have many cat toys and treat varieties as well.

About: One of the hardest things to do is trust someone to care for your pet, to make them feel safe, and treat them as family members while you’re away. That is the care I strive for with every visit! Because being away from your hoomans can feel uncertain, I provide extra play time and extra love. I also clean up their messes—if there are any, and I’m happy to help with the occasional chore when you have to be away for more than a couple of days! I am also committed to working closely with you to provide tailored care and companionship. I provide clear communication, pictures of your babies with each visit. I bring experience caring for pets of all ages—from playful youngsters to wise seniors—along with expertise in administering medications and supporting animals with special needs. Note: I’m no longer able to offer boarding services. One of my own sweet boys is getting up in years—he’s a little more fragile, and a little less patient than he once was, and I worry that boarding a stranger would cause him a lot of unnecessary stress. I work from home — this allows me some flexibility and the ability to customize my breaks and lunch based on the needs of my clients. When caring for pets in the home of my clients, it’s important to remember that the little one that I’m caring for is likely stressed because their mom and/or dad are gone, and there is a stranger (me) in their home. With that in mind, I typically spend more time with them than what is required by Rover because they need the extra time to feel comfortable with me. I take time to try to get to know them and help them feel more at ease. I treat them with the same amount of compassion I want for my own!

I currently work at a veterinary clinic as a veterinary technician. Throughout my childhood I’ve had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, parrots and fish in all stages of life.
