Bear is almost 14 years old and not interested in playing, but he got along well with Veronica’s gentle dog, who Veronica carefully introduced to him. He likes to be with people, and he was so comfortable with Veronica that he relaxed at my feet when she and I chatted, instead of pulling me out the door. Veronica was very careful to help Bear negotiate around her house, as he doesn’t see well, and she was clever in making sure he could safely go out. About: I have done rescue work for dogs. I actually have two dogs of my own one. I saved from the Humane Society and one I saved for a rescue who is going to be put to sleep for no reason. I am currently not working so I would be home all of the time with them. They would get all the attention in the world. We have a a fenced in backyard that they would be able to run around in and the cats would be kept inside and fed. What food daily if you please. I have a fenced in backyard and two very very friendly dogs who love new friends. Your dog would be very loved and taken care of. About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Back in 2014, I had two ferrets, and they were such a joy—full of energy and personality! Since 2019, I’ve had my long-haired Dachshund, Chestnut, who’s been my constant companion. Taking care of him has taught me a lot about the needs of small dogs, from grooming to keeping up with their energy. I’ve also helped out friends by pet-sitting over the years. I watched a cat for a friend for several months, making sure they were fed, played with, and given plenty of attention. I’ve also dog-sitted, with the longest stay being a full month. I made sure the dog was walked, fed, and felt comfortable and loved while their family was away. This limits my ability for mid-day stop ins during the week, but I am fully available in the mornings, evenings, and all weekend hours. All pet care routines are different! Since the level of care required can vary greatly from family to family, I offer a few different "versions" of each service, and modify my rates according to time/effort committed. Please reach out if you have a hybrid (drop-in/house-sit/boarding) request - if we are a good match I am confident we can find the right arrangement for your pets needs. I recognize that your fluff-butts are part of your family, and pride myself on the ability to make them feel loved and comfortable while in my care. Photos & videos are consistently sent along with scheduled updates - you will NEVER have to wonder if your pet is happy with me! If booking a longer stay, I prefer to iron out all details of your request with an hourly schedule so there is no room for confusion or misunderstanding. It is my first priority to make sure pet parents know that their baby is in the best hands so they can enjoy their time apart.
About: I’ve spent the last 5+ years working in a small animal ICU at a veterinary hospital, so caring for pets isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s what I do every day. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including seniors, shy pets, and those with medical needs. Whether your pet needs medications, extra patience, or just a lot of love, I’ve got it covered. Outside of work, I’m the kind of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass (no exceptions). I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I also work one Saturday a month, with occasional weekend availability otherwise. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I make sure every pet gets reliable, attentive care and plenty of love! For walks and drop-ins, I keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free by following your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications. I match each pet’s energy, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or some quality cuddle time (plus a few compliments, of course). With my veterinary ICU background, I also keep a close eye on their health and behavior.

About: I love all animals, and I’ve been working at a pet store for a year now. I love seeing all the different animals that come in every day. I enjoy helping people find stuff for their pets and greeting them all when they walk through the door. I have many regulars that I love seeing, and I’d love to meet more. About: I have experience walking elderly dogs and younger ones. I started walking dogs when I was in middle school, and I absolutely love all dogs and will care for your baby! I have pet sit many cats and love them, and I have experience with smaller animals as well. I work full time M-F 8-4. I am able to check on your pet in the evenings or in the early morning, and on the weekends Given my experience, I am very careful with walking dogs and I am sure to never walk them near a busy road and always look both ways before I cross the street. If caring for your pet at home, I leave things as I found them, clean up after myself and your pet, and treat your area with respect.
About: I currently work as a zookeeper and have years of wild and domestic animal experience. Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! I'm especially comfortable around and handling large dogs due to the nature of my job. Professionally, I have cared for a variety of wild animals including large cats like lions, tigers, and leopards, dolphins, seals and sea lions, and several canid species. That being said, I'm able to provide a deeper level of personalized care. I currently work 5 days a week, usually Wednesday-Sunday. On my weekend, I'm home all day. On my workdays, I'm able to leave during lunch to provide dogs with potty breaks. There is a dog park within walking distance of my apartment that I bring my dogs to every morning and evening. I do also have a dog potty set up inside my apartment just in case a dog can't wait for me to get home. I provide this because I personally wouldn't make myself hold it, so I would never force a dog to do the same. I provide a very safe, relaxing environment where your dog will be treated like family. I approach care with a proactive approach, rather than reactive. This means I always keep a close eye on individual pet behavior as subtle cues can indicate how a pet is feeling at a given moment. Many pet owners miss out on these cues, especially if they aren't trained to look for them. Overall, this means I try my best to create a safe environment for and trusting bond with any animal I work with via positive reinforcement and never push past an individual's limits.
About: I am currently an educator at Sedgwick County Zoo and have experience working at doggy daycares and vet clinics. I have a true passion for animals and value respect and kindness above all else. I am also experienced in positive reinforcement training and am trained to safely break up dog fights, administer canine medication, and restrain a variety of domestic animals My schedule will be a bit unpredictable over the coming months, but please feel free to reach out! I can definitely say that mornings are always doable, but nights will be tricker to manage depending on the week. If your pet has a rigid feeding schedule and gets dinner after 5:30PM, you will probably need to look elsewhere for a sitter for any time slot prior to November 1st I always make sure to provide proper care and closely follow any instructions given. I am happy to provide walks, give dinners, administer medications, and provide any extra care that may be desired. With my experience working in a dog daycare, I am familiar with all sorts of special needs care for older and disabled dogs. I have a little bit less experience with cats, but I am happy to learn!

About: I’ve grown up with and taken care of dogs of all kinds! Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, play and check up on their pets! I’m currently in school studying, which gives me a very flexible daytime schedule. About: I’ve taken care of my family and friends fur babies for a while, i’ve also baby sat kids as well as house sit and took care of animals while doing so! My goal is to make sure your fur-babies are happy, healthy and well taken care of while you’re at work or out of town! whatever the case may be I just want to make sure they’re loved! I’m extremely flexible with my time and want to make sure your pets are well taken care of! I care for pets in my home or outside of my home the same way i do mine! Lots of love is given if they allow it, frequent updates will be given even if not asked. I want to make sure everyone can see how their fur-babies are doing and receive as many updates as possible as if it were me this is what i would want!
