Bear is almost 14 years old and not interested in playing, but he got along well with Veronica’s gentle dog, who Veronica carefully introduced to him. He likes to be with people, and he was so comfortable with Veronica that he relaxed at my feet when she and I chatted, instead of pulling me out the door. Veronica was very careful to help Bear negotiate around her house, as he doesn’t see well, and she was clever in making sure he could safely go out. Bear says he would go back anytime and I can heartily recommend Veronica to care for beloved pets.”

About: I currently work as a zookeeper and have years of wild and domestic animal experience. Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! I provide this because I personally wouldn't make myself hold it, so I would never force a dog to do the same. I provide a very safe, relaxing environment where your dog will be treated like family. I approach care with a proactive approach, rather than reactive. This means I always keep a close eye on individual pet behavior as subtle cues can indicate how a pet is feeling at a given moment. Many pet owners miss out on these cues, especially if they aren't trained to look for them. I have a German Shepherd male dog as well as a female tabby cat. I live outside of the city so I will not be offering boarding services, but travel to Wichita surrounding areas daily. About: I have done rescue work for dogs. I actually have two dogs of my own one. I saved from the Humane Society and one I saved for a rescue who is going to be put to sleep for no reason. I am currently not working so I would be home all of the time with them. They would get all the attention in the world. We have a a fenced in backyard that they would be able to run around in and the cats would be kept inside and fed. What food daily if you please. I have a fenced in backyard and two very very friendly dogs who love new friends. Your dog would be very loved and taken care of. About: Hi! I have taken care of animals since I was a young child. I grew up taking care of a German Shepard and two cats. When I was a teenager I was the primary caretaker for my cat. From age 16-20 I volunteered at two animal shelters working with horses, farm animals, dogs and cats. I am a nursing student and will be working at my job part time to accommodate my class schedule. When I am not in classes or at work, my availability is very open.
