Fresh water and food are always available unless you specify otherwise. I keep my own dog separate from visiting dogs unless they've had time to become familiar with each other, which helps everyone feel more secure.

I am also available for livestock care, with over two decades of experience with horses, cattle and most other hoofstock and flocks. I offer these services full time, so no need to worry about another job conflicting with your pet’s needs while in my care. I am able to devote my schedule to them. For my in home services, I have a yard that is set up with individual fenced areas, as well as having 4.5 acres that will soon be fully fenced in! For those bigger dogs who want to be able to run and stretch their legs more.I have two of my own dogs as well, as company for those who would enjoy a playmate. We do crate all guests for bedtime and meals. This ensures everyone can eat at their own pace, and in a safe environment. Same for bedtime. While we understand that your pet may sleep loose at home, we typically have guests from multiple households. Safety is our #1 priority and we don’t want to risk an issue overnight.

“Our third review and keeps with same energy: COCOA LOVES COMING HERE! We thoroughly trust Brandin and his spouse Diane with our baby girl's overall experience. We ain't going anywhere else!”

“Steve is wonderful with my little guy Fitz! He texts me updates and pictures throughout the day and is super flexible and willing to go the extra mile (especially when work emergencies come up).”

About: I’ve been a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for pets since childhood. I grew up with both cats and dogs, including a Maltese, and currently share my home with an Australian Shepherd–Brittany Spaniel mix and my cat Josie. I have rescued two former outdoor/stray cats who I named Mabel and Astrid. One lives with my Grandpa while the other was given to my cousin! My favorite side-quests are animal rescuing! 😄 Alongside this, I’ve raised puppies and kittens of all ages, cared for senior pets, given medication, and even rescued a squirrel once (my ultimate side quest!). As said, I’ve occasionally helped strays by feeding and socializing them over the years, which has taught me patience, gentleness, and how to read animal body language. Professionally, I work in the behavioral health field, with over five years in Applied Behavioral Analysis as a behavior tech and a year as a mental health therapist student. I naturally apply those skills when working with animals by reading into the “unsaid.” Whether that is helping an anxious dog feel safe, reinforcing positive behaviors, or calmly navigating new environments, I am ready! I understand that pets are family. I prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication so you can feel fully at ease while your pet is in my care. Whether your pet needs playtime, structure, cuddles, or space, I’m attentive to their individual personality and needs, and I genuinely love making sure every furry friend feels happy and understood. I am available to provide pet care services anytime between May 12 and July 12, 2026. During this period, I can accommodate flexible schedules and multiple visits per week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I prioritize consistency and routine for pets, ensuring they receive regular feeding, exercise, and attention. After July 13, 2026, I will be working full-time and will only be able to accept a limited number of clients for very minimal days, so I plan to carefully manage my schedule to maintain high-quality care and attention for each pet. I prioritize safety, trust, and a positive environment for every pet in my care. I ensure secure spaces, supervise playtime, and maintain a calm and structured routine. I tailor care to each pet’s individual personality and needs, whether that means cuddles, exercise, or quiet time. I am attentive to subtle behavioral cues and changes, thanks to my background in behavioral health, and I always communicate clearly with pet owners to ensure they feel confident and comfortable with my care.
About: I've been taking care of all kinds of babies since I was a little girl. From bottle feeding bunnies and kittens to reptiles and horses. I usually always have some kind of a rescue at my house whether it be a foster dog or a some off the wall duck someone brought to me. I take care of them all as they were my own. My true passion is training though! My father has always trained his bird dogs as well as others and I've just always enjoyed seeing what different breeds can do/pick up on. I work remote and part-time at that, so I have plenty of time to tend to your fur baby. I have a fairly open schedule so I can be pretty flexible to fit your needs! I have a large yard (it's being fenced but is not currently) my 2 dogs and cat would love to play with your baby. We enjoy long walks or just snuggling on the couch. I'll treat yours as my own.
About: I have had dogs in my home for almost my whole life. I have a pug, golden retriever, and a mutt that are all a couple years apart in age. For two years, I volunteered at a humane society where I walked and cared for dogs of all kinds. Senior, puppy, sick, I have a lot of experience and I would love to get more! I’m currently working at a golf course near Forest Lake. My schedule for work comes out weekly, so I’m unaware what my weeks look like well in advance. I don’t like to do this, but if your pups are able to be home for about 6-8, then this would be a great fit! Obviously I wouldn’t work every day of the week, so I will be available to give them my full attention. Your pups are my priority and I wouldn’t want them to feel uncomfortable with my wack work schedule in any way. My shifts will either be 6-2 or 2-9, or shorter. I prioritize respect for your space and routines. Whether your pet prefers potty breaks in a fenced yard or leashed walks, I’ll follow your preferences to keep them comfortable and safe.
“Regan was amazing with my puppy. She sent me multiple updates throughout the days, fed my dog, took her potty, played, etc.. while I was at work. I plan on using her again :)”

“Being from Lawrence I wanted to find a place close to home but I took a chance on in home care out of town and Mahala is 100% worth the 30-minute drive Monday-Friday. She’s incredibly accommodating and truly treats Gus like her own! he’s so spoiled with her. Gus is usually a very nervous dog, but he immediately fell in love with her, her family, and her dog, which says everything. He has a great space to play and relax, and now he gets excited to go to daycare every day. I couldn’t recommend Mahala more!”

About: Hello!! My name is Maisy. I have worked in various different animal related jobs for the last 5 years, I worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility and I currently am a dog trainer. I have experience with both puppies and elderly dog as well as cats, reptiles, birds, and farm animals. I also am open to limited contact boarding for people reacting dogs and can do crate rotation for dog reactive dogs away from mine. I work in the evenings 4 days a week so I spend the mornings/afternoons out playing with the pups then they take naps in kennels while I’m at work and we play some more when I get home. I also can move my dogs kennels out of the “dog room” and your dog can just stay in there instead of a kennel if they are more comfortable that way. I have 5 dogs that are very active and friendly. I have a fenced in yard the dogs love to run around in and inside we have lots of toys and comfy places to take naps (which will be put up if there are problems). If I’m not at home or at night all dogs will be kenneled for safety.
About: I received a certification in the Fundamentals of Clicker training and positive reinforcement in a Karen Pryor Academy class. I have experience training puppies to behave correctly with humans and dogs. From the age of 8 to adulthood, I ran my own house sitting business in cities in eastern Kansas, including Lawrence, and Overland Park, KS. I have worked in Veterinary Clinics, Humane Societies and dog boarding facilities. Through experience and classes I know how to interact with our beloved furry friends. I know how dogs communicate, dog breed characteristics, breed groups, developmental stages, play styles, and how to meet their needs. I am determined to help strengthen the bond between you and your dog. I practice a routine when I take care of the dogs in my care. They spend 1/4 time exercising, another 1/4 time playing either with their canine buddies and or with me, 1/4 the time training or learning a new trick, mentally stimulate them, and finally the last 1/4 of time resting. As you know, all dogs crave structure and routine. When they know what to expect, then they know how to behave. My knowledge of dog safety and how to treat all dogs with individual needs will ensure you peace of mind. I have worked with many dog breeds, all sizes, and all ages. I do not have any breed preferences. I currently own three dogs: Skye is a lab mix, a senior ( 8 years old), Westly, a corgi, is a senior ( 11 years old), and Ginny is a lab mix, just a wee puppy (8 months old) Developing meaningful relationships with canines is my passion. I always treat my clients' dogs like they were my own. I’m currently working @ TLC Pet Nursing Hotel Monday-Friday but my hours vary. It just depends on the day. Please send me a message to check my availability in more detail! I have a fenced in yard and always go out with my dogs so I can make sure they are safely inside the yard and also to make sure they have healthy bowl movements. I have been told that I’m very trustworthy. I use my experience and knowledge to help each canine in my care. If there’s something “wrong” or different about a dogs behavior I will check in with you their human parents. It is very important to me that one, you are happy with the service I provide and two, that you feel comfortable with me taking care of your fur children! Please let me know how I can best serve you!

“Tobey had a great time with Jennifer! We were able to do a last minute booking with her without any complications and she was eager to help. She also kept me updated and sent me photos while we were gone! Would definitely recommend and will plan to use her in the future!”

“Amanda's the best, plain and simple. She's extremely well educated and seasoned when it comes to all things dog care and dog training. She made me instantly feel comfortable and easy about leaving my puppy with her over the holiday weekend, and I could relax on my vacation knowing that my dog was in the absolute best, most well equipped hands he could be in. Sweet, smart, and you can tell she loves dogs deeply. Will use her any time the future requires.”

“Cheryl did an amazing job taking care of my high energy dog! She updated me daily with photos and texts. She was also incredibly flexible with our booking. I will absolutely book with her again!!”

“Amelia and Matthew are very nice and patient with Mica during daycare and boarding and even gave him a bath! I received frequent update pics and videos of Mica. He obviously had such a fun vacation at Amelia’s home and made furriends too! Thank you for taking care of Mica, will bring him back again for sure!! Highly recommend ♥️♥️”

About: Friends and family have relied on me to check in with, feeding and playing with their pets. And even sometimes have play dates with my dog. I’m currently trying to find things to keep me busy there out the week/weekends so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. I’m available during the week and weekends at any time. I have two friendly pets to keep your fur baby company.crate your dog if needed I have a labradoodle. She is two years old and I have a Sphynx cat, which is four years old.
“My dog was left in great hands! Communicating with her was easy and fast! You can tell she cares for pets. My dog came home the same way i left her. She wasn’t scared and still slept through the night fine.”

“Thanks Melanie for accomodating my fairly last-minute boarding need! Abby and I both felt immediately comfortable with her, her partner, and their home. Communication was prompt and thorough, and I loved all the pictures! I'd def recommend Melanie and rebook!”

“Daisy loves to stay with Regan! And I know I don't have to worry while she's there. I get updates and photos everyday and I know Daisy is well taken care of. I highly recommend Regan.”

“Valentine was so kind and easy to work with. I could tell she really cared about my dog and took lots of care to make sure she got along with the other pets in the home. She is flexible and so communicative too!”

About: I've been working in the dog care industry for at least 10 years! Certified through Animal Behavior College,(abcdt) 2014 and the Council of professional dog trainers (ccpdt) since 2017. I can train your dog or just snuggle them and play with them! I am working towards going full time care taker so that I can build my clientele. As of now I work full time at a doggie day care as their manager and dog trainer and will be decreasing my hours as my clients increase! I can travel to your home or bring your best friend to mine! I have a very large fenced in back yard, and a very friendly dog. A few kennels for rest time as well.
“Nadia was amazing! Our pet had the best time at her place and she was super accommodating to us. Not only that, but she also made sure to constantly update us on everything that happened and how she was doing throughout the whole stay!”

“Maisy did a great job with Ruby (and with me). She sent me a text with pictures of Ruby making friends on the first day and a little information about how she was doing. I got another text from Maisy the next morning to let me know how Rugy had done during the night. I really appreciated the update. This was the first day of my vacation, so I was not able to get Ruby myself, but my daughter got her. She said Ruby was glad to see her but would also have gone back to play with the other dogs if she had been allowed to : ) I will happily ask Maisy to look after her again when the need arises. Sorry this is so long in coming, but I only returned from my trip yesterday.”

“It was the week of July 4th. We arranged boarding tentatively, but the did not work out. Looking at Rover schedule again, we contacted Emily for July 2-7. Thankfully, she agreed. Ron and I and our 2 dogs met Emily and her dog Fish, at their lovely home, and the 3 of them began playing in her big backyard. What a handful they must have been, yet Emily sent many photos and said the dogs played and then napped often. Emily was a kind and gracious host who managed the care beautifully. We look forward to boarding with her again, if she is willing and able.. Thank you, Emily!”
