I have a 4+ year old orange Siberian Husky, and I've grown up with a couple family dogs, so I've always been around animals and want to pursue an animal related career! I'm available 9am - 9pm Mon, Wed, Thu, but am somewhat flexible on weekends for house sitting. I have a fenced backyard and 2 energetic Siberian Huskies that are very friendly and play well with new dogs; I take them to the Newton dog park often and they absolutely love it! I can provide a crate for a medium - large dog if needed/requested. My dog sleeps in my room with an open crate so she can sleep in her crate or just on the floor. About: I lost my girl in late 2024. Pet sitting for others has really helped my heart to heal. I have always had a dog in my life but I am not yet ready to commit to my next soulmate. I work from home full-time and miss having a shadow with me. Comfortable with meds and needles, as needed. Comfortable with elderly dogs. I work full time from home, so rarely would your pet be alone. I treat your dog like I treated my own. If I run an errand, your dog runs an errand with me (as long as you approve). We might take a walk, we might Netflix and chill, we might swim in the summer, it just depends what your dog “tells” me they wanna do! We have two guinea pigs (who can be separated from other animals if needed). It’s just my husband and I and our teen daughter, who is generally the one our guest dogs sleep with! Fully fenced yard available to use with few steps. Upstairs and downstairs of house but not required to go downstairs if they don’t want to. Crate available, if they are trained or need it. I rarely see the need to use it but require crate trained dogs in case I need it. Common reasons would be during grocery delivery (to prevent escapes while door maybe open), unexpected visitors (if your dog would be uncomfortable, etc.), and such.

About: I've been taking care of pets for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I grew up around dogs and have yet to meet one that doesn't like me. Through the years, I've taken care of all types of dogs and cats; from young, crazy pups to old, sick dogs and from ornery mostly outdoor cats to snuggly kitties that want to use me as a bed. My other job is remote, so my schedule is very flexible for whatever your pet may need. Weekends or weekdays doesn't make much of a difference. I'm also a morning person, so early morning walks, feedings, etc are perfectly fine! For boarding, I have one pet friendly roommate and dog. The dog is so cat friendly that she annoys some cats by trying to convince them to play. My yard is fenced, but there is currently a damaged section that has been covered with temporary plastic fencing. The damage will be repaired soon and until then, I don't let anyone out there without supervision. For house sitting or drop-ins, I treat your pets the way I would want mine treated. I also try to match any routines your pet might be used to, if it's eating at a certain time or always being let out at a certain time, just let me know and I'll make sure to keep things as familiar as possible for your furry friends.

I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! We can do anything from short walks to long hikes. I also have had to give my own dogs medications and am no stranger to senior care.
