“This was our first experience with Rover and therefore our first experience with Sam. We just have to say we could not be more pleased. We were visiting in Hutchinson, KS and our dog Elmer stayed overnight with Sam, his roommate and Trapper, a high energy, playful and very friendly dog. The two dogs meshed well wonderfully and got “lots of exercise” and play time. This was Elmer’s first night away from us as he is a recent adoptee and apparently he didn’t seem to miss us one bit. Sam was great about sending frequent updates and pictures while hosting Elmer which really helped alleviate any concerns we had. “Sasha was amazing! I needed a sitter due to a medical emergency, there were so many things at play to where I was out of town when our dog was ready to be picked up. My dad who was just recovering from surgery was not as fast he usually was post surgery. We had to coordinate and navigate a lot considering this was also our first time using Rover. Sasha was patient in navigating the frustrations with pick up. She was very hands on with our dog and communicated with us as we navigated his needs and this app for the first time. Snapping pics and a text can help ease those feelings. And don’t worry, there’s an extra bed for naps and night time if your baby is used to sleeping with someone. About: Experienced Pet Caretaker: From Puppies' Playtime to Senior Pill Prowess! I have cared for many puppies, as well as our Seniors. I love to play with the puppies, however, I love making sure the seniors get the cuddles and treats they desire! I have a senior in my own home and administer daily pills, multiple times per day. I also have a pitbull puppy who will run herself ragged outside while chasing balls, gardening, and just running around. She also loves hikes and walks! I run my own massage business for in home massage. I am only working three days a week for a few hours at a time. Taking care of the pets is really easy with my schedule! I can carve out as much time as they might need in my day. I aim to keep there routine as normal as possible. I am very flexible in making sure I can do that! I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! We can do anything from short walks to long hikes. I also have had to give my own dogs medications and am no stranger to senior care.

Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! About: I lost my girl in late 2024. Pet sitting for others has really helped my heart to heal. I have always had a dog in my life but I am not yet ready to commit to my next soulmate. I work from home full-time and miss having a shadow with me. Comfortable with meds and needles, as needed. Comfortable with elderly dogs. I work full time from home, so rarely would your pet be alone. I treat your dog like I treated my own. If I run an errand, your dog runs an errand with me (as long as you approve). We might take a walk, we might Netflix and chill, we might swim in the summer, it just depends what your dog “tells” me they wanna do! We have two guinea pigs (who can be separated from other animals if needed). It’s just my husband and I and our teen daughter, who is generally the one our guest dogs sleep with! Fully fenced yard available to use with few steps. Upstairs and downstairs of house but not required to go downstairs if they don’t want to. Crate available, if they are trained or need it. I rarely see the need to use it but require crate trained dogs in case I need it. Common reasons would be during grocery delivery (to prevent escapes while door maybe open), unexpected visitors (if your dog would be uncomfortable, etc.), and such.

About: I have taken care of pets since I can remember and love getting to know new animals personalities and playing with them. I have plenty of time to devote to your fur babies. I do mostly gig work and am home and available for most of the day. I am available to take care of pets all day almost everyday and enjoy taking care of and meeting new pets. I have a fenced yard and an unbusy street to allow your sweet baby all sorts of walks and playtime outside. I have plenty of experience with administering dogs medicine and crating them, if needed.
About: I grew up with large and small dogs and cats. Around 5 years ago I learned to care for an elderly mostly blind, and def dog who had seizures up until she passed. I am fairly strong so if needed I can carry animals up and down stares or just in general if needed. I work great with elderly dogs especially ones who need extra care. I do have experience administering medication orally if needed and I am very patient. Wile I’m great with older dogs I also grew up with puppies because one of our other dogs had multiple litters and we cared for them. I do online schooling and have a class every Saturday from 1 to 5. I also work a few days a week from around 4 to 10pm. In my opinion you know what’s best for your dog so I will always follow your rules. About: I've been taking care of pets for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I grew up around dogs and have yet to meet one that doesn't like me. My yard is fenced, but there is currently a damaged section that has been covered with temporary plastic fencing. The damage will be repaired soon and until then, I don't let anyone out there without supervision. For house sitting or drop-ins, I treat your pets the way I would want mine treated. I also try to match any routines your pet might be used to, if it's eating at a certain time or always being let out at a certain time, just let me know and I'll make sure to keep things as familiar as possible for your furry friends.

About: I have done rescue work for dogs. I actually have two dogs of my own one. I saved from the Humane Society and one I saved for a rescue who is going to be put to sleep for no reason. I am currently not working so I would be home all of the time with them. They would get all the attention in the world. We were visiting in Hutchinson, KS and our dog Elmer stayed overnight with Sam, his roommate and Trapper, a high energy, playful and very friendly dog. The two dogs meshed well wonderfully and got “lots of exercise” and play time. This was Elmer’s first night away from us as he is a recent adoptee and apparently he didn’t seem to miss us one bit. Sam was great about sending frequent updates and pictures while hosting Elmer which really helped alleviate any concerns we had. We wholeheartedly recommend Sam and would have no reservations about using his services again!”
“Sasha was amazing! I needed a sitter due to a medical emergency, there were so many things at play to where I was out of town when our dog was ready to be picked up. My dad who was just recovering from surgery was not as fast he usually was post surgery. We had to coordinate and navigate a lot considering this was also our first time using Rover. Sasha was patient in navigating the frustrations with pick up. She was very hands on with our dog and communicated with us as we navigated his needs and this app for the first time. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter. Thanks for your help Sasha and helping our family during this time and not having to travel 20 hours with our German shepherd. About: From the time I was a little girl growing up in the country, pets and especially dogs have been a part of my life. I’m finally to a point in my life I can expand the love I have for pets and help others at the same time. What a great combo. I have one lab in my home that has my heart and love when other “friends” come over to play. I also understand the anxiety that goes with leaving a pet. Snapping pics and a text can help ease those feelings. And don’t worry, there’s an extra bed for naps and night time if your baby is used to sleeping with someone. The backyard is fenced and a dog door in place. I’ve also had experience with administering medications. I’m newly retired and also have a side gig baking business so I have spare time and availability. My lab is your classic laid back, loves everyone dog. New friends welcome! I have a fenced in yard with a dog door and willing to train if needed. They catch on so quick! My pets are like my kids, they get attention annd we play during the day and then at night, they can sleep where they want. We are still working on training for some fun tricks too. Most of all, make lots of time for pets, belly rubs and talking to each other.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets ever since I was a young girl. My parents would often foster kittens to which I would help and learn. When I was 11 and moved to Florida, I started to connect with my neighbors and created relationships where they trusted me enough to care for their pets and stay in their home. With experience in both dog and cat care, elderly and young, I’ve learned how to give medicine, understand what they need, and how to love them unconditionally. As a mom of two cat babes, I understand the need for a loving presence when you cannot be there for your own animals and would love to be able to be that for anyone else. Currently I work part-time with time to spare at home for pet care. I already spend many hours at home with my own fur babies, so I wouldn’t mind at all splitting that time with others staying in the house! Saturdays I work an 8 hour shift, but any other day is wide open. I have two cats in my home, and they have free roam of the house. I am not one to restrict where pets can and cannot go since this is their first time living as well and are curious creatures. If I have a dog with me, then I try to be where they are, providing supervision and company.
